My brother died yesterday, about two months shy of his 36th birthday. His honor walk was simultaneously one of the most painful and beautiful things I've experienced, with well over a hundred people lining the halls to pay their respects. He'd been in and out of the hospital many times the past few months, so they knew him well. It sucks for everyone to have to say goodbye, but he'll be saving lives, and not for the first time. So long, Pat. See you in a couple decades.

I'm gonna be honest, I was crying throughout this whole video. My mom had an honor walk the day she passed away. It will be 3 years in a few days (December 8th) since she passed away. I still remember wanting to break down and cry when she was wheeled past the operating room doors. I watched the doors slowly close behind her and it was the last time I saw her "alive". I remember we waited in her hospital room to hear if she was able to donate. I still remember my world around me shattering to pieces when the doctor informed us she passed away at 2:08pm. I'll never forget my mom. I'll never forget her smile. Her laugh. Everything. It still hurts so bad and I'm trying like hell to keep on living my life even when it sucks and I feel defeated. It's honestly sad knowing how much I took her for granted and I only realized that when she passed away.

Each member of this family is gifted. Their patience and dignity. And the sadness in doctor' s face. And sad people who were there to say goodbye to him. Sad sad sad...

I lost my Mother last month. She was a donor. Losing her was the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with and I don't know how I will ever get over it or be okay. But, I am so proud of her for thinking of others that may need what she was able to offer when she left this world. I'm so sorry to the family of this young man but he is a hero. There is a whole football stadium full of people waiting to get the organ that will save their life. With the family gather around him to pray it hit me so hard. That's exactly what my family and I done. I know that pain that they are feeling and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
