Donating their child's organs is the most heroic and selfless act a parent can do. Mars is such a cutie and is definitely a superhero and seeing him that mask made me cry harder. May Mars rest in the sweetest of peace while asleep with the angels.

Instead of watching a 3 year old enjoy his first game at a ball park ..I end up watching a 3 year old that lost his life and that is the hardest thing to watch knowing parents are out their planning funeral’s for their children instead of planning birthday parties … it hurts but it’s not about how I feel it’s about what the parents are going through and how they are heartbroken 💔 after losing a child ..this young kid is a hero and I pray that this kid get’s the 21 gun solute for saving lives..I mean don’t hero’s get rewarded for doing brave things I honestly think it would be a great send off … Mars Bedell I just want to thank you for saving lives way to go Hero 🦸♂️

My nephew passed away at 6 years old. A freak accident took him! His momma donated the organs that he could donate
How could that nurse possibly have had the strength to read that tribute without breaking down and bawling as I am doing right now? Nurses are SPECIAL people. Thank goodness we have people like them.

That is a wonderful way to think. I was a first responder and sometimes we found ourselves doing the same thing. But I'm not sure I could handle being present at an honor walk. I'd lose it right there in the hallway. But I wouldn't be one bit ashamed. Thank you for being a nurse. @@lisataylor8657

*There are pains in this world that until we experience it, we cannot begin to imagine to understand, and this is one of those, the indescribable loss one feels when they have to say goodbye to a loved one especially a child, it's - there are no words. Mars' and his family are heroes forever, for they made the deeply difficult decision to donate his organs, and in doing so have given life to so many, the gift of life is one that can never be repaid, in my opinion. I salute Mars and his family.*
They are anything but heroes. They left him in pool for 2hrs while they got high someone noticed but he was gone. They in jail for abandonment and negligence.
Even tho his mother is in prison for abandonment!! She always gave her child away to be cared for by a babysitter which became permanent

I’m alive today because I received 3 gifts of life from 3 donors. From the bottom of my heart and with all of my soul please Lord keep his family close. I’m so grateful to all organ donors and their families.

@Tiana Pruett How would you feel if your baby had a fatal illness that could be cured if the parents of a child who had just died were willing to donate organs that the dead child will no longer need, that will only rot in a grave, to your dying baby so that it could live. Bet you'd feel differently in that situation. Bet you'd be thanking God there are mature, level-headed, unselfish, generous and charitable parents who would want your child to live even though their child was dead.

Absolutely heartbreaking. My heart goes out to his parents. I can't even imagine going through something like that. Having to make that decision after only being with their son for less than 4 years. He's watching over them now. A superhero in heaven!

Child endangerment. She left the boy and his young siblings alone in the apartment complex pool for over one hour. It’s a miracle he was the only one to drown. Thankfully they’ve been removed from her home because of what happened. Hopefully they can up her charges. Knowing that makes her use of super hero masks feel manipulative and attention seeking. She knew exactly why he drowned and acts like a victim here.
Being able to give life to someone else is such a selfless gift. I can’t imagine their pain. 💙🙏🏻

I know the pain. I lost my youngest a few years back. He was an organ donor. I know the black hole of grief; how you search every face hoping it was all a mistake or bad dream. and I know hero parents. My son was grown so the decision was his. Thank you to Mars' parents for their selfless love for others. I can't tell you the days will get better: how could they dare??? I can promise the intense days will lessen; the smiles at the thought of the sheer wonder that he was given to you for even such a short time. God thought about who would love him the most, knowing Mars' time here would be brief, and He chose the perfect ones to love him for that time. Love, hugs and many prayers, and above all, deep gratitude.

I work with patients with end stage heart failure. Many of my patients have been given a new chance at life by receiving heart transplants. It’s the most beautiful gift of all. Rest In Peace, little hero. You will live on through others ❤️

Saying goodbye to a toddler, allowing the life-sustaining equipment to be swiched off... what phenomenal, heart-breaking courage the poor parents needed to let him go :'( ! I noticed that a few nurses couldn't help crying even though they are used to watching honour walks :( . But Mars will go on living in other children's bodies and flying high like Spiderman, will look upon his loved ones, protect them, guide them, help them bear the unbearable

His mother certainly is no hero. She has been arrested on child abandonment charges in his drowning death. She left the toddler and her other young children in the apartment pool for over an hour. It’s a miracle he was the only one to die. Thankfully her other children have been taken into custody as a result of his death.

I have been a nurse for 25 yrs. We aren't used to honor walks. Even if that's a transplant unit, and they do them all the time, it's a child. We often cry if someone touches us in a particular way, such as a child or an elderly patient that reminds us of our grandparent. We aren't supposed to get attached to patients, and we are supposed to remain professional, but we aren't robots. We most definitely break down and cry sometimes (usually at home, but sometimes we can't hold it in at work). It can occasionally help the family to see that the nurse also cares. As long as we don't sob and carry on, and make it more about us than the grieving family, a few tears are ok. I could have never read the eulogy like that nurse did. She did a wonderful job. Death is a frequent part of the job, unfortunately. The worst part is having to tell the family members that a person has passed (something that, contrary to what they show on tv, the nurse is often responsible for doing). I would imagine there were a lot of tears, which is why they only showed still photos, and not the actual walk itself. I can't imagine losing a child so young. Absolutely heartbreaking. May he RIP, and may the family heal and find peace. I lost my husband when he was just 39 yrs old, and I was 35. I am 50 now, and it's still difficult. They have a long journey ahead of them.

Unfortunately, mom/dad is the reason the little boy passed.. she’s in jail for 25yrs for abandoning her kids at the pool, it’s a miracle honestly that no other kids she had passed away..this is so heartbreaking..I also lost my fiancé..2014. Feels like yesterday..and it’s still hard..we were going to get married the next summer 2015. He never made it..killed in motorcycle accident coming off the highway..we think his wheels may have slid in some sand he collided with the guard rails but smashed into a pole..he was wearing his helmet, but that didn’t help much. So I know it takes ALOT of time, grief therapy helped a lot as well. Blessings to you!

As the aunt of a now 18 year old double lung recipient ( at the age of 6) words cannot express my humble attempt at gratitude to families like those of Mars.
She is living a life we never dreamed of, we are so very, very grateful that in their darkest moments they gave our family life.
It must truly be every parents worst nightmare but they have done something so amazingly selfless, I’m just so very grateful but so utterly sad for them also.

I’m pretty stoic and not easily moved to tears, but this did it. My youngest grandson is the same age as Mars, and I just can’t…geez.
Mars, you are a superhero, as are your parents. Your life, which ended much too soon, will continue on inside everyone whose lives were saved because of your and your parent’s selflessness. I know where you are now, which isn’t a lot of comfort for those who loved you more than life itself, but I know that you are happy, without pain, and with no sadness. Watch over your parents, let them know you’re ok now and that you will all be together again.

She is grieving but must understand that it is because of her neglect that sweet little boy (the same age as my Grandson that I help raise) died. I don't know what goes through a parents' mind when they make decisions like that. She put all of them in imminent danger. I just don't understand...

Pulling on the heart strings of parents everywhere 💔. As a mom, I couldn't kiss his head enough, or hold his hands on my cheeks long enough. I would want to carry him myself and hold on as long as I could. Time is precious. This would devastate me. In many ways it is great that he was able to save lives. He got to be a bigger hero than he already was, and the family can know he still lives on ❤️🩹.
Yes, and I imagine the family will think what they could have been doing during the walk. It's not the same, but I regretted I didn't do more physically with my mom and even my dog. Sometimes in the moment you either do things you wish you hadn't or DON'T do things you wish you would have.

Whenever an Honor Walk is suggested by youtube I always watch it. Organ donation literally saves the lives of those who need it. Fly high little Mars, you're very much a super hero. Leaving these kids alive with machines after drowning is no life to live. I'm glad the parents were so selfless and decided to give life to others instead. ❤️

Such a brave decision, I truly pray everyone who this boy helped lives a long and healthy life. That being said, being I do not have all the medical records. If there was even an ounce of hope and prayer, would he have been one of those folks that would have slept for five years, then showed signs of waking up, or not. This brings joy, but also absolutely breaks my heart.
So he drowns with no one watching him? and then out of guilt or his permission they donate his organs that's not great heroic parenting in my opinion.. Think about this guys 🤔don't glorify people that have been neglectful!!
I cannot imagine the unbearable pain of losing your little one this way. God bless this baby and his family.
Oddly enough when I came across this video I was playing superheroes with my grandkids, I'm Ironman, my 4 year old granddaughter is Batman and my 6 year old grandson is Spider-Man. I'm can't quit crying because Mars doesn't get to play with his family but by donating others will get to play with their friends and family.

The nurses dressing up is beautiful. They gonthough do much hardship. They help aliviate the grief of families. Hod bless the family, doctors, and thise knowinly recieving a young childs body.

How could anyone watch this without crying? I certainly don't know, because I couldn't stop crying seeing that beautiful little boy laying there knowing his life is over. OMG, that is just so heartbreaking! What happened to this sweet little soul? My heart goes out to his entire family. We just had a grandson born 2 months ago and he is in the NICU, he has a very rare condition, he will be in the hospital a while longer, had surgery for a trec, and next feeding tube. When a child is hurt, ill or dies, it's so devastating to me, I feel like I just can't breathe. EDIT: I JUST READ HE DROWNED, so very sad.
