"Alexandism" song is an actual indie band song, and the lead singer is part of the production team of Bocchi the Rock!
The band already being disbanded though.

I think it's pretty obvious that the "two hour commute" was a lie

Unfortunately, it actually isn't. Bocchi lives in Kanagawa, and the school she goes to is Shimokitazawa. That's at least an hour by car, and she's definitely taking the train there, so around 2 hours each way. You can look it up really easily on google maps too.
