I am German, with a fable for British history. When I discovered Time Team over 20 years ago, I had to jump through hoops to find episodes in the vastness of the web. I love to find everything here now that I may have missed 👍👏.
Canadian here... same story. A LOT of google searches to find out there were 20 seasons + specials, I thought there were only 2 (with 4 shows for each season)
Shoutout to Geophys... endless walking, and walking... and more walking. Thank goodness they have motorized systems now, but 20 seasons of (mostly) walking without complaint is worth mentioning. 🙌 huge respect.

Not sure it's the right niche but if anyone's brutally interested in hard-core Roman Tradition (religious, military and political), I strongly recommend Schwerpunkt's videos series. Right now he's in the middle of an Archaic warfare one that is shocking
I love how TV shows have a dedicated marketing person to make relevant and cool edits to the show! You see this on the Gordon Ramsey shows and others, keeps the context fresh and relevant ❤
Nearly everything I know about the Roman empire I learned from Time Team. At school and in documentaries I learned the big picture of the empire and the many lunatic emperors. Time Team introduced me to the fascinating details of everything else!
I downloaded this and it won't play at all in any player. 4 hours is outrageous. Cut into 4 or 5 sections as determined by the time cuts and re-upload. No sound, no video.
idk if I am happy or sad that The Trouble with Temples (16x01 iirc) is not here. Sad in that it simply wasn't included, happy in that it didn't get circumcised. I'm going with the latter because... The depth (:D) of Time Team's individual shows, comparable to much dryer shows such as Meet the Ancestors, was one of the major draws of the show. Or rather, making that level of information accessible was the main draw of the show. Chopping any of the individual shows down into half sized chunks literally hobbles the shows ability to do what it does best. addendum: The Trouble with Temples is my favorite episode bar none.
I'm here to break the programming ... I'm a woman obsessed with the Roman Empire and always have been. Can't imagine how great it would be to just be able to visit these kind of sites.
"...Has thrown us a bit of a curved ball." Has the baseball term "curveball" traveled across the Atlantic, or is "curved ball" a completely different Britishism? Apparently the meaning is the same -- being presented with an unexpected problem, like a pitch that does not travel in a straight line.
Please STOP saying the Romans had corn. The first historical record attesting maize European introduction is that from the Caribbean by Colombus in Spain, 1493. From there, maize was rapidly brought to the Vatican [44] and the earliest European representations of maize are most likely those painted in frescoes near Rome dating from 1517 [42].
@@AnnaAnna-uc2ffmaize: a Central American cereal plant that yields large grains set in rows on a cob; corn. Sorry maize is still corn even if called maize. What the heck is up with the 3 day limit crap? How in the world can you do a complete excavation in 3 days? I can see if it is in a field that is going to be planted, but most of the time it just doesn't make sense.
Great but sick of being bombarded by adverts. By adding more of them to increase your revenue you take away the pleasure of watching what you put up for viewing. Shame but seems RUclipsrs are succumbing to greed over viewer enjoyment, like the good old days.
Victor's fantastic artwork brought everything to life, love how there was always a dog somewhere.
Time Team is my favorite show on RUclips and Prime Video of all time.❤❤I watch the show everyday.
More of these 4 hour remixes. Even longer would be great.

It's amazing the remains of those bridges have survived nearly 2000 years in that river.
Very good compilation, but I miss the entertaining and endearing banter between team members. It brings life to the dig.
I think about it because I watch/listen to Time Team daily 😂
Full belly, slippers on, feet up, mug of ale in my fist, and a 4 hour time team. Is there a better way to spend a lonely evening? I don't thinks so.
4 hours! Cannot wait! (I’ve seen them all before but love the shorter snippets format!)

This made for very enjoyable background audio whilst I was working.
I think about it because Mary Beard made me love it
I just started reading her book SPQR. You should pick it up if you haven't already!
Mary Beard and Bettany Hughes ❤

Funnily enough I (American) only heard of Mary beard after I found Time team. Popped up in feed after. Either way. It was because of. Romans

Thanks for this compilation time team video
Can’t believe I watched it in one go lol
May I point out that Standish is in Gloucestershire, not "Glouchestershire" as the titles state.
Thanks
I was just thinking about the Roman Empire.
Awesome.

Why are people saying there's no sound??? There is sound???
Depends on the video player. The one I'm using in Linux has no sound. RUclips's website has sound.
If I think about the Roman empire... can I have sound?
Ok, what's up with the gaudy red feather in Phil's hat? That's a little bit unusual.
The Roman Empire turned into a church , the British empire turned into a bank.
1.06.15 Filbert . I thought it was Philip
Sad to see that Greenwich didn't make the cut.

Some Brits use the word "corn" as a generic term for ALL grain.
They rarely mean maize.

you have it the wrong way round. Maize was called corn by the brits because, to them, it was just another type of corn.
