    You’re the first person whose video offered an explanation and benefit to Klein’s decision to use 3.5mm bits, instead of 4mm. It makes sense, and probably tips me over the edge on buying this set!

      Yes the 3.5mm question kept me from buying their other precision sets for a while. Having adapters helps with that concern. Thanks for watching! 👍

    Thanks for showing one upside to the 3.5mm. I couldn’t come up with one.

    I recently picked up this set and have used it a few times already at work and at home. I think I made a good purchase.
    I quickly had an issue with the black rubber sleeve on the handle. It slid when I put too much pressure on the screwdriver while trying to remove a stripped screw.
    My fix was to roll back each end of the rubber sleeve and put 3M Weatherstrip and Gasket adhesive on the handle and then roll the sleeve back over it.
    Works good so far. Time will tell if it holds. Thanks for your video

    I don't currently own a precision bit set. It looks as if the Klein 32787 set will be my next purchase. Thanks for an informative video.

    Swing and a miss… by only half a millimeter at that. The industry standard is 4mm for precision sets… So of course Klein went 3.5 mm.
    I’m making a tray (3D printing) for a modified 8 in 1 stubby (has the flippable socket on the end) and the bits from the set you showed (mine is iFixIt but it’s the same set).
    That set has a 1/4 inch spline to 4mm adapter. Cut it down using an angle grinder and you can fit it in the back of the stubby for storage.
    All I need to do is remove the tray from a small Klein ModBox and with my 3D printed insert I have an industry standard 4mm set with the stubby as the driver.

      I don't think the magnetic adaptor is intended to be used on a magnetic 1/4 inch driver but is instead designed for a DIN 3126/ISO 1173 - C 6.3, or a style C, also called 7013 z type driver. It should work great with a Hazet 810r driver or any locking driver designed for type C bits. The "tell" is the little notches on the adaptor seen at 7:09 in this video. I will test this as soon as my set comes in.

    • @okcrc
      @okcrc 6 месяцев назад +1

      I can confirm that the adaptor does indeed work great with the Hazet 810r which uses the type c driver. I also found that it doesn't completely lock into my Dewalt electric screwdriver or my Milwaukee m12 driver.

      I also think the adaptor is ment for the ratchet not the driver. The driver does not need the adaptor because it has the 3.5 shank.

    thanks for the video…honestly think VIM makes the best bit set on the market FRBS89 but this is great for mod box compatibility and its smaller…that set would be a great review btw if you haven’t already done it

    Good review... thx. I have purchased several of these new Klein ModBox kits. Unfortunately as a whole they tend to be a bit pricey. This one in particular is. I'm not sure I'd pay $50 for it. Maybe ~ $29, or even $39 but over $40 I'd probably pass on it.

    The precision bits are complete garbage my screwdriver set every one of them seem to be poorly heat treated. Everyone of them I have used have deformed they are just way to soft.
