Rick played in my band "The Demons" in Woking Surrey when he was just 14 years old, it was his first time playing in a band and his Father was not happy with him playing Rock n Roll...lol. I emigrated to Melbourne Australia in 1970 and every time Quo had a concert in Melb I got back stage passes to meet up with Rick and I was in touch with Rick through his ex wife Patty only a matter of weeks before he died...R.I.P. my good friend Rick.
Nice review guys. You can’t beat a bit of Quo. Caroline, got to be the greatest opener ever 👍. This video was shot by Pro sound at the massive NEC Arena, Birmingham 2014, not the Hexagon, Reading. Recently seen them at the Piece hall, Halifax, amazing as always & packed out crowd 🎸🇬🇧
I'AM GONNA START CALLING DAD, ' Mr ROCK N' DAD ' HaHa. THERE'S NEVER BEEN A HAPPYEST BAND THAN STATUS QUO. TOE TAPPIN ROCK N ROLL ! CAROLINE IS A FANTASTIC SONG.THE BRITISH KNOWS HOW TO ROCK.(FROM THE BEATLES ON ) ANOTHER BANGER FROM DAD'S ARCHIVE.🤘😎🤘HEY, HEY !
was 12-ish when they reliesed the Qou album. I borrowed it by my cousin, she never got it back. I still have it somewhere. It´s an epic record. Listen to Just take me, Backwater, Slow train or Drifting away, or just listen through the whole album. If any album should be called classic, the Qou album is. But my Qou favorite is Forty five hundred times. (best version is from Milton keynes). And for me who just got my first bass their songs was a perfect way to start struggleing with my bass
Talking traditional British rock bands, you might want to try some Dr. Feelgood. "Roxette", "Back In The Night" or "She Does It Right" which showcases Wilko Johnson's playing - who played the executioner Ser Ilyn Payne in "Game of Thrones"!
Nice review... do like a bit of Quo. Would be good to see someone review something a bit different of theirs like Don't think it matters or even Drifting Away.
I don’t even know…..WHERE to begin. Do them all-ALL OF THEM🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
