In this video men's style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of www.iamalpham.com, goes over 10 of the most common men's style mistakes and how to fix them. These 10 style mistakes are very common and easy to fix.
Aaron Marino of alpha m. is here to rectify style mistakes and missteps.
1. Wearing clothes that don't fit properly - too big! Size down and get your key pieces tailored.
2. Dirty shoes - work boots are acceptable when dirty, but if you are going on a date, clean your shoes!
3. Too short pants - you pants need a single or half break. If you can see your socks when you're walking, your pants are too short.
4. Not wearing the right belt with dress shoes - dress shoes should match the belt in finish and texture.
5. Button the bottom button of your suit jacket - the bottom button is there for show.
6. Wearing a silk tie and not having a dimple - the dimple takes practice, finesse, and trial-and-error.
7. Wrinkled clothing - iron or turn the dryer back on to get the wrinkles out.
8. Wearing a crew neck under a button-up dress shirt - v neck and deep v neck should be your choice.
9. Wearing dress shirts untucked - you look like you're wearing a DRESS!
10. Wearing the wrong socks with an outfit - you need to match the type of sock to the outfit you're wearing. Sporty socks don't go with dress shoes. Always match your socks to your pants which

I don't think there is a problem with his jacket and shirt but the earings look really silly, especially with a suit.

When the shirt has got two buttons open, I don't see the problem with the earrings, I find they look cool. If he was wearing a tuxedo it might be different.
MutR You clearly don't get it, do you? The exact STYLE advice that he is trying to demonstrate by wearing a CLASSIC blazer with CLASSIC shirt with a CLASSIC pocket square, along with NON-CLASSIC small-hoop earrings is NOT CLASSIC NOR STYLISH. Get it now?
Just my personal opinion, but I think that you should add some form of text and numbering system if you're going to make a: Top 3, Top 5, Top 10, Top NumbersFTW. Like, talking about No. 1 of a list and as your speaking have the number 1 on one side of the screen, including the qualities of number 1 on the same side. Just my opinion xD

TOP 1 Common style mistake: shining earrings !!!!!!!!
I agree with everything Aaron said EXCEPT for the socks. I have 2 sets of socks brown and black same style. This makes pairing with outfits so much easier and does give a polished look.

Back when I was a little chubbier, I used to wear XL and wonder why I was soo like swimming in fabric, but now I lost about 30 pounds in a year so now I wear L shirts but they seem to fit me pretty comfortable, I like to be fitted now because confidence has gained so much in the past 8 months, thank you alpha m.

I like matching my socks to my tie when I'm wearing one. Best practice is to stick to 4 colours that match with mostly everything: dark green, blue, brown and gray socks on the menu for me.
But what if you're wearing a red tie?
I don't like red ties at all. The closest I getto a red tie / bowtie is BURGUNDY. Also for a yellow tie you could get a lighter shade of blue or a lighter shade of brown. Most of the socks I own are in the colour range that I've mentioned. However I have 1 or 2 pairs red / yellow and some other bold colours, but I don't wear them often because I don't have clothes to match them. I put them on when I'm wearing a monochromatic outfit and I want a splash of a different colour. Hope it helps. To me, socks are one of my favorite garments to wear.

Thoughts on contrasting colours inside and outside the collars and cuffs of dress shirts? (not talking flamboyant contrasting colours like Cameron on Modern Family wears)....but more subtle like different color blues etc. And white collars on coloured dress shirts... thanks...cheers.
Personally I started wearing them because I wanted the fabric next to my skin to be more comfortable...also having the inside of a white collar slightly darker cuts down on showing dirt. Also, as long as someone isnt rolling up the sleeves on a red shirt with yellow inside cuffs on purpose...I dont think it looks bad...seems to get a bad rap though...

Slightly baggy trousers can work sometimes. Not everyone had to be in pain when trying to look good. Older, maybe taller men, can rock some jeans that are a little wide of they have a belt and some nice shoes.

you nailed it Alpha...the only thing I think you missed was hair style. I'm blessed to have hair, and I take advantage of that. I notice 9 out of 10 guys don't spend even 10 seconds on their hair when going out. If you have hair, grow it out, go get it styled and see what a difference it makes.

I have some nice dress pants that were my perfect size and shrunk a little. there is no breaks in them. HOWEVER, you do not see my socks or if you do it is very minimal. The only think is they really rise up when I sit down and thats it. I need to redo my whole closet soon.
