Typically when we hear the "beep" like we hear in this video it is due to a damaged power supply board (this is not ALWAYS the case, but usually is). Try these steps below to determine if the problem is the mainboard or the power supply board. 1. Unplug printer from electrical outlet 2. Leave the printer unplugged, push the power button 10 times to clear any residual electricity (always do these steps before performing repairs on your printer) 3. Disconnect power supply cable from mainboard 4. Plug printer back into electrical outlet (leave power supply board disconnected from mainboard) IF the beep sound has disappeared, then that usually means that the power supply board is good and you need a new mainboard. IF the beep sound is still happening when the power supply board is disconnected from mainboard, that indicates that you likely need a new power supply board. Hey quick question. My printer had a ribbon cable that I had spilled ink on. Will that short the motherboard? I didn’t get ink in the end of it where it makes the connection but on the middle of the cable
Spilling ink on the outside of the cables typically will not cause a short. But, ink can be corrosive and overtime it might eat through the outside of the cable and get to the copper on the inside...which would cause a short. Hope this clarifies a little.
What if I have no front power but there is no beeping?
Same ..
That is an indication of a damaged mainboard typically.
Thanks so much. The beep is faint but I heard it.
Where is the video to how you solve this problem? This is what I am experiencing

What about no power but a very slight ringing noise, almost like your ears are ringing?
Sounds like a short....is noise there as soon as you plug the system into the wall?
It happens soon as I hit power button. Once I hit power button again it stops
