Thank you for this. I tested the mother board as shown in your video. Looks like my motherboard parts are good. I own the Prestige DTF printer A3+R and replaced the Epson print head, which worked perfectly for one day. The following day I'm getting no prints, no ink. I checked the FFC cable, and no signs of damage. I performed head cleans, printed nozzle checks, filled in the dampers, and ink bottles 3/4 full. When I try to print, the mechanical parts usually move, but I'm not getting any ink. What else should I check for?
Last week I was doing a head cleaning - thought my white had clogged even though I print daily. When it didn’t clear, I powered off the machine and removed my print head and did a manual flush with warm distilled water. One white channel wouldn’t allow my water through so I eventually thought, I’ll just put the printer back together and see what happens. Well, now I have a low chirping noise and the control panel lights won’t work therefore I cannot print. I can’t figure out what’s going on - I bought a new print head and had it overnighted but the control panel still won’t turn on to even attempt printing. I found this video to be very helpful. When removing my motherboard though, it is not the same. My Epson board has a SN JMV1B14KR/2170667-01. Any alternative steps into figuring out what is going on? TIA!
Little tid bit of information for anyone owning a Procolored L1800, they put the fuse on the other side of the board and wire up an external point of contact for each side of the fuse for quick testing. The little white Lego block on the back near the heat sink and USB connection has 1 white wire in each slot on my case. I wish I would have known this the other day. Kevin my fuse is blown and machine not ejecting colors but acts as if everything is normal. In your experience do you think anything else is bad? What else should I check? We had ran the blocks of test color then head cleans in between for like 2 hours trying to get white to flow. I tried to prime white with some external pressure from the top of the manifold and potentially contaminated head cable. Should have got a protector from you, 😢 Didnt notice or think i had till all colors seemed to just stop printing and started to suspect I made expensive mistake. On inspection of head, there was no, obvious visible damage to cables, board, or head but the cyan channel would no longer allow for flow during flushing manually.
Kevin, Can you do a video like this for the epson 7890 mother board and supply power board. I cleaned my printhead and during the cleaning my printer just stopped working. They told me I must’ve fried the printhead and the mother board and that I should replace them along with the supply board. So I purchased all of them and I swapped them out. Once I turned the printer on, it blew the fuse in the power supply board. I checked with the multimeter. I then swapped the fuse with board I had removed because the fuse was working per the multimeter test. Once I turned the printer on, it just didn’t go on. I checked the fuse again and it didn’t work anymore.
031006 the cone tor are good te print head I checked and is good I think so the problem is in the F1, oF200 that cut the power before make more damage to burn some pieces
Hi . I wana make a diy flatbed printer using epson l1800 . But in 130cm wide . Can u help me to develop programing main boards to driving step motors ?
Just bought the fuse from your store test out the f1 fuse and it beeps so that one is good there’s no f2 fuse on my board is it named something else please help
Hey Kevin! I just swapped my L1800 Mainboard and suddenly the printhead doesn't stop and speeds up a lot ending crashing into the left part of the printer. Do you know, what's causing that issue? Its something with the CR Motor. Thanks a lot!
@bitkid check the encoder strip and make sure it is inside the sensor on the carriage. This is the main reason I know for the slamming on the left. If the strip is not inside the sensor then it has no idea where the head is and starts doing crazy things.
I have an Epson L1800 that is performing the way it normally does but is NOT dropping any ink. I installed a new printhead and dampers with no results. I was told that there may be a blown fuse on my motherboard that's causing that to happen. Is that a possibility?
I have an L805 doing the same, not ink charging had to bridge the fuse and it started charging but my head is gone...so its now printing very very faded and Magenta mostly even where its supposed to be the other colors its printing Magenta...
Went to your website to check out the "Multifunction function tester TC-1". You may want to run your website through a spell checker. You have many spelling mistakes on the site.
My transitor pairs from left to right same as you measured are 43 / Open /
I just ordered a fuse, a pair of transistors and a head protector FOR THE L1800 from BCH. if the middle and right pins of both pairs are short closed

What are symptoms of a bad board? We're having print issues on a dtg machine where the bed isn't feeding consistently. Distorting images
