I maintain I and others NEVER cared about the Monster of the Week figures and wish they had opted for more Main Bad figures. Like it would have been awesome to get Trakeena or Ransik and other main villains like that.
I have to partially disagree with that others never cared sentiment. I really enjoy the monster of the week figures. Particularly the more iconic ones like King Sphinx, Pudgy Pig and Pirantishead. With that said though I will concede that for a "Legacy" toy line that was meant to encompass 30 seasons of TV show and 8 years of comics a greater priority should have been given the main big bads & their henchmen.
I'm still mad that we never got Zeltrax, Koragg the Knight Wolf, Zen-Aku, Doomwing, Emperor Gruumm, Necrolai, Kamdor, Dai Shi, Tenaya-7, Master Xandred, Maligore/Dark Specter, the Orangehead Krybot and many more. The biggest missed opportunity, however, is IVAN OOZE! The Ninja Rangers were given movie accurate hooded heads to fight Goldar and the Tengas, but Mordant and the Oozemen are also missing.
It unfortunately comes down to legal red tape. Hasbro doesn't own the rights to the Fox movies, Disney does. So characters exclusive to the movies like Mordant and Ivan Ooze are off limits without working out some kind of new deal. The Ninja Rangers and Tengas get a slight exemption however because Saban had worked out whatever legal red tape stuff there was with Fox back when the movies were made so that he could also use those costumes in season 3 of the TV show, but with a slight rename and story origin rewrite.
Honestly a little bummed we never got an Ivan Ooze. As for the monsters, the size thing was kind of annoying, mainly because of them outsizing Goldar so much, but once Super7 released theirs it wound up balancing out just fine for me (although I do understand people who just don't want them oversized to begin with; I personally hate when comics draw Darkseid being 10 ft tall, so believe me, I get it).
A fun fact about A-Squad Pink, if you buy the latest releases of it, hasbro had corrected the helmet issue , i got mine with the correct helmet brand new in box
Everything with whoever owns the IP at the time always shuts down before turbo can get anything good 😭. No Turbo Megazord (again) and I was hoping to finally get a worthy Divatox figure.
I think it is extremely cool in one hand to be so open and adamant about villain figures, I did hate how they did the MOTW ones, but I did love the concept, but honestly, its hard for me to see villain figures in a good light when just how bad the ranger side was handled on the entire line, wish we could have gotten more rangers to actually fill other teams instead of a new henchmen that doesn't even have a full team to fight, wish we had more rangers instead of our fifth MMPR MOTW, y'know, that kinda deal
I agree that it’s a shame we never got the rest of the Rita Zelda gang in the Lightning collection, would’ve make a perfect lineup. Plus on the monster of the week figures, a missed opportunity to have as a figure in my opinion would’ve been Knasty Knight from Happy Birthday Zack.
I love the inclusions of all these monsters and foot soldiers. I have so many Putties, Z-Putties, Tengas, Cogs of all colors, etc. I didn't go with the Putrids. You don't even want to know how many Tengas I have....
I was hoping to get the Piranhatrons and Porto from Turbo also Grumm and Morgana from SPD. Its sad we didn't get Baboo and Squatt to complete the original Mighty Morphin Villians along with Rito and Master Vile.
What really baffles me is that the mmpr main villains weren’t completed Or any Hasbro era villains. Still sad Ninja Storm and Samurai (really because I like the sentai version) weren’t even attempted
I wish the villain figures were not mainly focused on MMPR, the figures I own a copy of are Lord Zedd single pack, Cybervillian Blaze one of my favorite characters, GameStop exclusive Goldar had to own a copy of him, Astronema from the vs pack with In space red, Scorpina from the MMPR vs 2 pack with Aisha since it was the first time she got a figure and she makes a good companion to go along side Goldar, Boom studios Ranger slayer I do count her as a villain since she was before being redeemed, never bothered getting any of the grunts had no interest, I wish figures were made Diabolico from Lightspeed Rescue my favorite character from the show, Zen-aku from Wilf Force to pair up/ fight the Lunar Wolf ranger, and Ransik from Time Force was hoping for a two pack with him and Jen to be made due to their history

Squatt and Baboo were all we had left to finish the MMPR S1 crew. Shame it couldnt happen.
I wish Hasbro had continued the line. They were not as bad as the fandom made it out to be.
I love when you do these videos.

I’m just really sad we never got any of the mutant criminals from Time Force feel like they’d of been perfect for the toy range for obvious reasons

😲 great Intel

Tenga Warrior was one of the best action figures released that year and everyone slept on it! hahah
It was top tier
Looks like I gotta wait a little longer till we get the Dino Thunder Megazord reviews

After Bulk and Skull, I can see Super7 giving us Baboo and Squatt. They're like Rita's version of the boys.
Haha yes! And if they're small enough...
@powerrangertube Should be, I've seen a RUclips short where someone put Super7 Bulk and Skull in a homemade Juice Bar with the Hasbro Rangers.

The villain figures were often more exciting to me than the rangers even, I never got any Rita tho, I def regret that and should fix it
Did Rita have an original 1993 figure? I used to think the same as a kid haha!
@ I was referring to Lightning Collection, actually
Disappointed we never got samurai rangers and a deker figure they would’ve looked so sick
IMO Lightning Collection had the best selection of villains in any Power Ranger toyline
Oh yes I remember the Power Rangers Dino Charge toys because they had an amazing toy line and they just give this a lot of villains
What really baffles me is that the mmpr main villains weren’t completed
Or any Hasbro era villains.
Still sad Ninja Storm and Samurai (really because I like the sentai version) weren’t even attempted
Funny thing is, I want 10 of each version except for the single release cog that comes with the Zeo Ranger III weapons.
Oh f yea let’s goooooo
Can't believe we never got Diabolico
I wish we got Tanaya-7 and the rpm and dino charge foot soldiers
Darkonda fans on life support 🥲
Those exist
Rito Revolto & Master Vile
I'm very pissed Trakeena never made it.
Cool 😎
The villains and monsters I wanted were:
Darkonda
Dark Warrior
Rito Revolto
The Machine Empire
Divatox
General Havoc
And of the Lost Galaxy.
cool but i wanted madame odious form 1 and 2 snide and galvanax and obviousy master zedd , void knight and divatox
Is King Sphinx too big or is Goldar too small.
I love and hate Hasbro for what they did to PR. The fact that they are auctioning off the props is a bad sign...
Some are good some are only good at a distance. Still wanted more monsters
Most wanted
Super puttys
Skele-bones
Knasty knight
Rito
Terror toad
A move that killed the series lol
