I fell especially sorry for the Beast Morphers fans because that one started all the way back in Wave 2 , and somehow they still never got around to finishing that team.
@@SowaraAkther1Hasbro had such a strange habit of not actually marketing their own seasons properly, even when it came to the toys. Not only did they leave Beast Morphers incomplete, they didn’t even bother to do anything from Cosmic Fury
Just from the thumbnail, I feel immense sadness for that final wave of releases we had. A real Turbo Ranger after years of teases, and the start of 2 highly anticipated teams. Sadly we couldnt even get all of the Reds from the teams featured in Forever Red.
From what I've read on forums, the reason why the Lightning collection's final wave was so weird was because they didn't even know it was the final wave until very late.
Yup, Hasbro apparently gutted the entire team in charge of the ZAP project, the tv/film team, and the figure lines literally 2 weeks after wave 14 was announced. It's why Cosmic Fury got 7 episodes, then it came out that Cosmic Fury was originally suppose to be 20 episodes. Even the white tiger Zap Zord was cancelled.
What's funny is Hasbro is releasing about 14 variations of the same Mandalorian molds this year, something that I saw a Star Wars fan joke is a "Power Rangers move," yet Hasbro can't even apply the same logic to their own IP that's super easy for re-using molds. The number of missing rangers on a team AND mismatched molds across a team is mind boggling. It's even more expensive to do it the way they did it.
I think those were Gorenger (Aka Renger only), Jetman (Red Hawk and Black Condor), Dairanger (RyuRanger/Red and KibaRanger/White), Boukenger (Red, Blue and Black) and lastly by means of technicality Go-Busters (core trio and Buddyroids released but no Gold/Beet Buster or Stag Buster/Silver). The full Go-Busters team of only 5 members has never been released in multiple collector lines 12+ years after their season aired. Pain.
@@furnessespeonI think that they didn't do Shurikenger for Hurricanger, either. (Just the Hurricanger & Gouraiger, but not the Pimp, the Ninja of Ninja himself)
it's kind of sad that there so many other seasons of power rangers that hasn't gotten lighting collection figures yet like ninja storm, mystic force, operation overdrive, jungle fury, samurai et etcetera et etcetera.
Not getting Quantum is baffling. He would've been one helmet, morpher, and belt remold(with holster added as well) away from completion, the rest would just be paint changes and the chest pattern. It wouldn't have been difficult to change some pieces around and he only needs two accessories. Time Force in general cause outside of civilian heads it's just needing to mold slightly different helmets and recoloring everything else, and giving us the V Blasters.
I'm very hopeful that they pick up the line again. Maybe playmates will be for other realms of figures. They did say they'd still handle collector level items, so maybe Lightning Collection qualifies?
Time Force was especially baffling considering its pretty much a franchise staple for many, features a lot of beloved rangers (Wes, Jen and Eric) and one of the most popular non-Zordon era seasons. The team persisted in various ranger media, so them being made would've been a no-brainer. Even though seasons like Overdrive, Samurai and Megaforce aren't well liked (I don't hate them), every season deserved at least one representative each. I would've had Tyzonn/Mack, Antonio/Lauren and Orion/Robo Knight respectively. I don't get why we had the Putrids of all things, as they are some of the least memorable foot soldiers and I doubt they were demanded. I suppose it could've been worse though, we could've had the Batlings or Swabbies... Speaking of villains I would like a few more villains, maybe not more than the rangers but at least above the foot soldiers. I would've liked a Master Org or Zenaku over a Putrid. As I keep saying, it's weird that Hasbro didn't even complete either teams from seasons under their management, and it's a shame since Beast Morphers almost did, yet they left out arguably the most popular of the five, Steel. I am at least thankful they completed some of my childhood teams like Dino Thunder and SPD (albeit Cruger was hard to find here in the UK for me), but the lack of any Ninja Storm is both confusing and saddening. Ninja Storm is decently well known, at the very least bring Cam or Tori.
Personally I don't even count spd as being complete with the missing rangers being cat ranger and nova ranger. Minimum those two, but also making spd orange would be such an easy thing to accomplish.
I'm really looking forward to this video since I love your Lightning Collection videos! I'm genuinely surprised that they never completed Beast Morphers since they were so close to, and it was the first season under their name. Getting Steel would've been nice... It's also annoying that we never got Jen either, and I was surprised that this was one of the incomplete teams considering Time Force being fairly popular. By the way, do you plan on doing a "5 things to know about SPD Lightning Collection Figures", since that team seems complete, or does it not count as complete because it lacks the two one-appearance rangers like the Kat ranger or Nova ranger?
Absolutely wild they didn't release Zen aku with the wild force silver ranger. You know they could have made this easier by doing 3-4 ranger team packs. I think if Bandai had more time doing the legecy figures we would have got more. I appreciate the alien rangers being completed and Lost Galaxy, but did we really need the ninja turtle rangers, the A-Squad rangers, those Street fighter and karate kid rangers? Imagine if they gave those resources to completing Time Force, Wild Force, Ninja Storm, Lightspeed Rescue, Mystic Force, Overdrive, Jungle Fury (with the spirit rangers), SPD cat ranger and Nova Ranger, some of the other rangers that was revealed in megaforce that was Super Sentai only, etc. How didn't they immediately remake the other Neo-Saban rangers as while the older fans didn't like those shows, kids LOVE Samurai, Ninja Steel, and Megaforce. They could have at leasted finished Dino Charge. I use to see lil kids collecting those Megaforce cards all the time. This was just another mishandled fumble by Hasbro.
I feel like including the human head was what ultimately shot them in the leg. I'm not sure about copyrights and all that, but it sounds like a lot of effort and budget, along with other procedures that might've hindered releases. (controversies regarding actors or permissions, etc) The budget to the heads might've been better spent on other accessories instead
I barely even use the civilian heads. The only ones I would actually use are the Tommy head that came with Dino Thunder Black and the Turtle Ranger Leo head. We don’t even see the Rangers without their helmets on much anyway, so I don’t entirely agree, but I get where you’re coming from.
They ended up with the same problem as the 2010-2014 era of Sentai Figuarts. Selling Sentai/PR figure individually always hard because sometimes not every members would sell well beside the Reds & Sixths. Shodo Super is probably the only way for getting high quality poseable Sentai/PR figures for now. Sure it's on different scale & the price can get too high, but at least they got sold as a set for each teams.
I’ve never liked the lighting collection, grew up with Bandai Japan. But lately I’ve been 3-d printing my own figures. Time consuming but I want complete teams!
I don't really think they will just cut off the Lightning Collection this soon. Hasbro always planned to put the entire franchise on a 1-year hiatus in preparation for reinventing the franchise from scratch, but the legacy stuff will continue as soon as the reimagining begins. They will return to making the Lightning Collection stuff but Playmates will make the reinvented stuff by this point on.
If lightning collection really is finished, all I can say is what a sour note to end on, I really wanted a complete team of wild force since it’s my favorite season, mystic force they never touched and that upsets me greatly cause they have my favorite suits
I've been a lot more forgiving about the Lightning Collection than many, many others, but the incomplete teams are the thing I can't really defend. It should not take multiple years finish off any core team. I don't give a damn about "MMPR is the only one people buy!" it doesn't outsell everyone enough to take multiple years to finish.
I can not put into words how frustrated to this day about the Psycho Ranger releases. Red was a two pack, same thing with Silver, Blue was a standalone release for some reason, and then they just drop the rest in a Amazon exclusive 5 pack. Which was a slap in the face for those of use who bought the previous releases. Any chance on a Lighting Collection double dipping video?
And weirdly, Psycho Red was with Lost Galaxy Red, sure, they fought in To The Tenth Power, but that's the most it was. Surely, Leo should have come with Trakeena instead, and the Psycho Rangers are an exclusive 5-pack for somewhere instead.
Let me guess there's one of those lightning collection videos going to be ranking the seasons that never got a figure on how and which one would have gotten a figure most likely
Turbo is the only team shown that I really wanted, but I wish they had skipped some of the stuff like Cobra Kai and Turtles (Playmates could do that next year), and do more Sentai like Dairanger ( which had only one appear in LC like Turbo).
I was most disappointed with RPM, since that's one of my favorite seasons. I was so excited for Summer, but then never got the other rangers, or even Venjix for that matter!
I'm honestly not that upset about the Beast Morphers and Dino Fury teams not being finished as I found the basic figures to be more than adequate for my collection and less than half the price, though I sympathize with those who were anticipating those figures. I was most excited about Lightspeed Rescue as I love the Titanium Ranger design.

It would be understandable if it wasn't so heavily rumored and didn't have 2 product codes out there. The whole reason they were trying to get Wild Force Red out as a Battlized figure or a bike figure was to avoid including a Cole head, which was such a non-issue when there had been several releases by that time that didn't include a head.
I'm still hoping against hope that they'll continue the lightning line with Playmates, or that Hasbro will continue the lightning line in tandem with a possible playmates line. Is it realistic? Probably not but I have been so depressed at the death of the lightning collection (Which was what got me into collecting in the first place)
Excellent Video sir! It's all a shame, especially how I remember when this first started that we were going to get every Ranger Ever. Ha! Why did I believe that? But I wanted to believe it so badly...😅
I feel very bad for the fans of teams that got started in the Lightning Collection, but never got completed, and I especially feel bad for the fans of teams that never even got started. I also feel like maybe this could have been avoided if Hasbro hadn’t done certain releases. Like, do we need 5-6 versions of MMPR Pink? And those Cobra Kai figures, why did they make those? At least the TMNT and Street Fighter crossover figures were actually based off crossovers that actually happened in certain media (well, half of them regarding Street Fighter). The Cobra Kai figures they just made up and used the Ninja rangers molds and switched the hands and heads (and arms for two of them). I’m at least grateful that some teams got completed, like Dino Thunder and the main 6 of Dino Charge (still wish we could’ve gotten the rest, especially Dark Ranger with how he made an appearance in Cosmic Fury). But yeah, it’s a shame the line is over (as far as we know).
I'm still waiting for them to release the Spirit Ranger Trio from Jungle Fury. They are the only PR exclusive Rangers that really interest me aside from the Titanium Ranger himself.
@@BaulFoodmanedits to me the big mistake was pumping out all those MMPR villains. Massive overkill, too many sales flops. I think I'd be happy with full team packs, it allows them to sell less popular with popular, and gives a full team that matches.
Of all the two packs that could have been, aside from Steel with his original robot body and Ranger form with swappable human head, how was a Jen/Time Force Pink & Ransik set never one aside from "female Rangers don't sell" and the big thing being that two-packs of collector figures are more expensive as a result because of the standard they're going for? Since if that wasn't as much of an issue, they could have done a few more with the Heroes & Villains theme, like Merrick/Wild Force Silver (a definitive edition of) and Zen-Aku, or Leo with Trakeena instead of Psycho Red, just so the line at least had more villians you could get. Or even do team-up themed set, like True Blue To The Rescue with adult body!Justin/Blue Turbo and TJ/In Space Blue, replacing the glider set they did with him but only giving TJ a swappable head given Blake Foster hasn't returned to where an adult Justin head would make sense, while having kid!Justin with the swappable head be a two-pack with Alpha-6 to account the costs of having small figures.
To be fair, Phantom Ranger did appear in the "In Space" finale Countdown to Destruction. That may be the root cause of the mistake ob his packaging for the first run of his Lightning Collection figure.
This video, like so many of your others, was great but also a little retraumatizing as it made me think of all the ways we as fans gone got screwed over by the line, LoL. I’m getting flashbacks to all those horrible QC issues, LoL…😨 but of course like any sucker, I’d still take it back in a heartbeat and throw all my money at it 🤣😂🤣
Part of me is wondering that we'll never get a wild force red lighting collection figure because of what the actor did in real life or at least we just won't get a civilian head of him however.
I was waiting so long for the Lightning Collection to get to Lightspeed Rescue. I was hopeful but skeptical when they released Chad. I bought him, but never opened him up because I wanted to make sure I had the entire team before breaking the seal. Looks like that's never happening.
I know you didn't include them and I know why. But for me, the biggest let downs were an unfinished SPD collection, unfinished Dino Charge, unfinished Dino Fury abd unfinished Deluxe Blue Turbo Ranger where we could have gotten 2 figures and maybe an adult head. I would have purchased a second Pink Ranger and repainted her Orange for Dino Fury version of Fern. I think Hasbro doesn't like Money.
I could see they could making Operation overdrive in Lighting Collection. for next 2 to 3 year. Cause We never got them in Lighting Collection action figure.
well at least my 2 fave teams (only like the sentai version of gokaiger never watched super megaforce never will) and ninja storm didn't get done so no reason for cuz I was waiting so patiently for them but whatever
I never understood all the jumping around why not just start at mmpr and work your way through them? That’s the only reason I didn’t get into the figures cause I cant stand not having the full team.
Honestly I was never planning on getting every single Ranger it’s just way too much money for me, but at least was thinking that I would be able to have all the red rangers for the forever red set up. Super glad we got the alien rangers and the omega, but no Eric from time force? No Carter from Lightspeed Rescue? No Cole? Also wanted Shane and Hunter the Red and Crimson Ninja Storm. I do empathize with all the collectors that do want every team completed. They should have organized it better, done two pack with less popular rangers just to finish the teams for the fans. Plastic free boxes sucked 😂
Hasbro could have done so much cool stuff with the Lightning Collection. I mean Hasbro was the reason we got the Legacy figures. I don't think I've seen an idea fumble this badly ever. It was so good at the beginning but flopped with inconsistencies being the main season here.
It's sad there's no Blue Turbo Justin and no Ninja Storm or other teams from Mystic Force to Super Megaforce and Ninja Steel and mostly Cosmic Fury now. Also no Baboo and Squatt to complete the original Mighty Morphin Villians and no Piranhatron or Porto from Turbo we never got as Figures from Bandai also no Lightning Collection Evil Roxy with her head.
I personally only count characters with the "Ranger" suffix as official Rangers... so I wouldn't count Blue Senturion. I wouldn't even count him as core to the team, if I'm honest.
I saw an article making look like Hasbro might continue the line but as Hasbro Pulse or other store exclusives. That’s what Mattel is apparently trying to do with Masters of the Universe: Origins with the original toy line based figures, so maybe that’s what Hasbro might do. Hard to sell them on shelves, so I guess they think scaring fans into buying a small amount on those online stores might help.
I really wanted an RPM team, and yeah I think the Beast Morphers team never being finished was crazy. Hasbro never should have brought the franchise if they gave this little of a shit about it. At least I'm happy with my Lost Galaxy, Psycho, and Dino Thunder teams.
My only regret is never getting a gokai ranger red Or in american name, super mega force red ranger. Hated the mess of a season but the design is gold !
Let's be all honest cell shaded pink is the one lighting collection figure that shouldn't of been made. Ya could say the same about the the color swap mighty morphin two pack but that did give us a screen accurate yellow ranger
They have made a mess of it....some not finished, other series haven't even had a lookin......ninja storm, operation overdrive, jungle fury, mystic force, samurai, megaforce........
I am extremely upset! I have a 12 member MMPR Team, and I have complete Zeo, In Space, Lost Galaxy, Dino Thunder, and SPD Teams! However, I only have 2 Turbo, Red and Centurion, 2 Time Force, Lunar Wolf, 1 Lightspeed Rescue, and 1 RPM. I slept on Dino Charge and I only have 2, where I could have had more. I also have Evil Rangers Teams A Squad and 7 Psycho Rangers, and I have cobbled together a Lord Draken Rangers Squad. I only have 1 accurate Villains Team, Zedd and Rita, and I have Fudged a Astromena Team using Cogs as Machine Empire wasn't made. Beast Morphers and Dino Fury haven't been released on DVD, which is the only way I can watch the seasons, so I didn't buy them as I have no connection to them.
Op overdrive we coulda got red but the rest are red flags. Jungle fury could've been nice eventually. Mystic force would've been so cool with the capes
I feel those just show how little Hasbro cared about the franchise. They bought it just to buy it. That’s it no effort, cause it’s not a transformer… and the barely even care about that
I fell especially sorry for the Beast Morphers fans because that one started all the way back in Wave 2 , and somehow they still never got around to finishing that team.

I do not understand why Putrids were released, when you can't even make a 5-man team out of BOTH teams they fought with
It’s especially crazy that out of all the different foot soldiers they could’ve chosen, they chose the ones that barely even appeared .
@@BaulFoodmanedits to me the big mistake was pumping out all those MMPR villains. Massive overkill, too many sales flops. I think I'd be happy with full team packs, it allows them to sell less popular with popular, and gives a full team that matches.
@@ianmadeit Similar to Alien Rangers you mean? If so i definitely agree
If they were going to release a villian it should have been zen aku
In the Putrids defense, it was only figure from that wave that didn't have any problems
Personally Lightspeed Rescue is my favorite season there was potential. Two pack with Ryan and Diabolico for example
I'd settle for the special ranger from each series I love at this rate. I'd love a remaster version of MMPR White, too, since he's so hard to get now.
I bought that as soon as it dropped, knowing how hard it is getting Tommy products.
To be fair, Phantom Ranger did appear in the "In Space" finale Countdown to Destruction. That may be the root cause of the mistake ob his packaging for the first run of his Lightning Collection figure.
no operation overdrive?
It sucks to be a turbo, rpm, and light speed rescue fan they only get one ranger
Damn... With any luck maybe Playmates will do something...
Here’s hoping that Play Mates can do good Megazord toys cause Hasbro did not do them justice
This video, like so many of your others, was great but also a little retraumatizing as it made me think of all the ways we as fans gone got screwed over by the line, LoL.
I’m getting flashbacks to all those horrible QC issues, LoL…😨
but of course like any sucker, I’d still take it back in a heartbeat and throw all my money at it 🤣😂🤣
Part of me is wondering that we'll never get a wild force red lighting collection figure because of what the actor did in real life or at least we just won't get a civilian head of him however.
Are you doing a video for the SPD and Dino Charge teams?
I assume that there are some Rangers that are finished but unreleased
And I hope those get some kind of release
i wound have skipped the last wave to complete at least time force, Jen should have gotten a figure instead of a translucent phantom ranger
well, there goes hope for Cole and Casey
I was waiting so long for the Lightning Collection to get to Lightspeed Rescue.
I was hopeful but skeptical when they released Chad.
I bought him, but never opened him up because I wanted to make sure I had the entire team before breaking the seal.
Looks like that's never happening.
i’m still doing my collection i’m finishing up with SPD A squad and B squad next Dino Thunder
Hmmm...
well at least my 2 fave teams (only like the sentai version of gokaiger never watched super megaforce never will) and ninja storm didn't get done so no reason for cuz I was waiting so patiently for them but whatever
If you are thinking of selling time force red is worth quite a bit of money now. It has been nice to get back some of my investment
Aside from rangers i find baffling theres no Rito or Vile to an extent
There from mmpr but they just skipped them like other things
Sucks we didn’t get no samurai no super megaforce no ninja storm and I don’t really see playmates continuing the line sigh
My only regret is never getting a gokai ranger red
Or in american name, super mega force red ranger. Hated the mess of a season but the design is gold !
I know right
If the line ever returns I’ll hope for time force, wild force and rpm. so sad they are not done. also beast morphers needs silver!!
Let's be all honest cell shaded pink is the one lighting collection figure that shouldn't of been made. Ya could say the same about the the color swap mighty morphin two pack but that did give us a screen accurate yellow ranger
How many teams never even got started?
Man im absolutely bummed we didnt get Quantum ranger, nor even a hint at Wild Force Zen Aku.
Playmates doing kids stuff doesnt mean Hasbro wont do collectors stuff; I dont think LC is dead yet.
A Quantum Ranger from Time Force was my most wanted figure in the Lightning Collection
Mine was titanium ranger and time force pink!
And ninja storm but it wouldn't hurt too much not to complete that
I wonder if there’s a way to complete a team with colors using different teams, if that makes any sense
I really hope playmates scales well with LC bare minimum
Paint and joints being the same or better would be of course even better
Ninja Storm never came out huh? :(
Devestated by hasbros hadnling of th efranchise
I wanted Master Org , and all of the Wild Force Rangers and also I wanted Rito Repulsa and Luthor
I hope that the Lightning Collection comes back 🤞🙂😎👍
Those dino charge figures look familiar, where or what brand did you purchase them from?
Man, I really wanted an Xander figure
I wanted Dax or Theo
Speaking of steel for beast Morphers would you also want a Roxy figure for that too
They have made a mess of it....some not finished, other series haven't even had a lookin......ninja storm, operation overdrive, jungle fury, mystic force, samurai, megaforce........
No mystic force operation overdrive or jungle fury
Op overdrive we coulda got red but the rest are red flags. Jungle fury could've been nice eventually. Mystic force would've been so cool with the capes
the other teams had it bad
ninja storm mystic force operation overdrive jungle fury sitting with none
*Sad Nick Russel, Mack Hartford, RJ noises*
All them rangers about to jump him goes crazy
Hasbro couldn't get their head out of their @$$, as with everything they do. I'm glad playmates is taking over.
Faltaron los malos de zeo el reino de las máquinas y divatox y su clan
Hasbro: "Power Rangers aren't profitable."
Because you keep screwing up at best and doing NOTHING at worst!
Hasbro is mean for that
I feel those just show how little Hasbro cared about the franchise. They bought it just to buy it. That’s it no effort, cause it’s not a transformer… and the barely even care about that
sad we never got anything for cosmic fury even :(
