Hasbro dragging their feet is especially confusing when you see how they handle Transformers. They reboot it with a new cartoon every few years because by the time the 5 and 6 year olds who were there from the start hit 8 years old, many of them get bored with Transformers and move on to other things... like Fortnite. Hasbro's got it down to a science, and them expecting kids to just go years and years with almost no support is crazy.
See, I think it's pretty in line with Transformers. They release versions of characters years even DECADES after they appear in thr show. But it hasn't always been this way so maybe it's new? Ah, I don't know
18:55 I think what we need is not a return to plastic windows but a company that builds trust with QC, like Bandai Japan or Takara Tomy (or even Hasbro in the 2000s with some lines like Beyblade). I hope Playmates becomes that company.
This season proved to me that Hasbro doesn’t understand Power Rangers and how to make toys for it. With Beast Morphers they invented a Key gimmick for the morpher, but at least they used it in-show. With this though, they took they key gimmick OUT of the main weapon, invented a brand new gimmick that doesn’t match anything in-show, and didn’t make any of the keys for the armor abilities. If the toys can’t do or look like the thing seen on the show, it’s already failed as a toy. Same thing applies to the toy-original weapons given to the figures.
So I hope you take this knowing I am saying it with the utmost respect as a fan of yours and someone who cant edit: the mixing in this video was rough, specifically when doing the sound effects from the morphers. Your words are almost entirely drowned out. Always glad to see one of your videos on my feed though!
Another plus was the improved articulation when compared to the Sentai version. The basic line was the one “success” story of the run to me. Full slate of Rangers and villains at a good quality and gentle price point.
I like your take on the line. It's unfortunate Hasbro could never finish a zord line. Their basic figures were some of the best PR has ever had, and the Morphers aesthetically were closer to their Japanese counterpart. I think another thing too, is that going down the toy aisle, Hasbro was competing with their other lines, too. Hopefully, the Playmates MMPR line will do well. I just hope they do a good job on the Morphers and Mecha.
12:50 only just now realized that Hasbro did the Zanglass Sword from DonBrothers only a few years before Bandai made the Zanglass Sword since it has a similar gimmick of the blade reading the colors of the Ranger members when used in tandem with the changer
8:03, funny enough. I did get both these zords....but only in the Minipla ver. I got an extra Pachyzord so I gave it to a comic book artist who was a HUGE fan of Power Rangers called Crimson Star Comics and he was also ticked at Hasbro. 9:20, very, very embarassing.
Hasbro has consistently been bad when it comes to selling toys to kids when it comes to their TV shows. Not just with Power Rangers but Transformers too. The distribution of Earthspark toys has been pretty bad. And some of the new original characters, the Terrans who are the main transformers of the show took so long to get proper toys. As Hasbro prioritized constantly making toys of Optimus and Bumblebee, the franchise stables. Despite them not having as big a role in the show as the new blood characters. The only time Hasbro ever goes all out when it comes to kids toys is whenever a movie comes out. As Transformers RotB and One had large waves of their toys release just before the films came out. Just goes to show that Hasbro doesn't really value their kids shows despite them needing to be their biggest ads for their toys. So to see them treat Power Rangers the way they did is not really surprising. Especially since it's not valued nearly as much as other IPs they own.
Wonder if Hasbro did this to discourage new fans so the popularity of the show would go down and get people to focus on the reboot. A similar that seem to have been made when handling both Once and Always and Cosmic Fury.
I haven’t gotten Power Rangers toys for myself since I was a kid in the 90s but did buy a bunch of these for my son. Managed to get the full team and void knight. Never did find any other villians though.
This line wasn't as great as Beast Morphers, but I do love the consistent articulation between the Megazords. Makes me wish Cosmic Fury was the Super Mini Pla sized up because as it is it's not worth the price (and IDC about Kyuurenoh either so don't mention it)
It's so disappointing how Hasbro handled Power Rangers and other properties. I really liked the Lightning Collection figures I picked up. The best stuff they're doing right now are their GI Joe Classified figures, but they keep flooding the market with constant releases to the point where collectors can't keep up, so a lot of it ends up at liquidation outlets. 😞 They're not really a toy company anymore, sadly. They sell toys, but they just don't seem to know how to do that. 😕
I like the Dimetro blaze zord mainly for one reason you can open its mouth, a missing feature from the dimevolcano toy, which was odd since he spoke a lot in Ryusoulgers, I am glad i got the Amazon exclusive first figure 5 pack and the Megazord big box since the basic packaging was way to open for my likening, the only zord from that line I own yet do not dare touch anymore is the Ptera freeze zord due to its former white plastic yellowing, I wish Hasbro did not change the packing for the figures that annoyed me and kept me from getting a copy of Void King which is a shame since that suit looked neat in Ryusolgers as the character named Pricious.
I wish we had pachygaroo , shadow,shine, and cosmo raptor was in the toys because you could make the other two megazord combinations other than the ptera one shown in the last episode

As soon as they announced Dino fury I tracked down all the sentai zords because they never gave us the full wave in beast morphers

I also had issues with some of the joints on Ptera Freeze yellowing. Hopefully Hasbro will be able to nail down the issue with that all around.

Cosmic Fury was the first season were I don't want to buy the toys. I'm sorry, I just don't like Cosmic Fury since when the suits where revealed.
I was almost going to buy these and saw there were so many zords and not enough variety with the action figures.
