For some people, it is more comfortable this way. It depends on how you position your hands while using the keyboard. This orientation has more of an sort of angled descent for the thumbs as opposed the correct orientation where the thumbs are resting on the spacebar's sharp angle.

Bro you literally have no idea what you’re talking about. If you have ever had o-rings in a board it doesn’t feel spongey. An o-ring is supposed to be pretty stiff and made to some what dampen the sound or make the bottom out shorter. Literally I use them sometimes and they feel good on some switches.
