- Matt and Dan of BBC One's Rogue Traders get uncomfortably up close and personal with Ken Munro, the boss of Munro Solutions Roofing of Pontefract, West Yorkshire. Our elderly actress calls him round to look at her roofing problems. Ken Munro the Rogue Trader is as nice as pie when he's trying to sell her a whole new roof that she doesn't need. But when he's challenged he soon changes his tune. Matt, Exposes Ken Lies with a Fireworks Display which Scares the socks off Ken LOL.

4000 for a new roof? Bloke is out of his mind double it that is a decent price
14 k is a lot for that roof. But I’d like to see their fucking expert do it for 4k taking into consideration tiles at a quid plus a throw and about £2000 worth of scaffolding just to comply with Elf and Safety. Not to mention Tyvek at £90 a roll, plus nail and batten. £8500 would be my guess if that was in Hastings.

Hold up, why did it end there??? Glad I just fast forward to the confrontations on theses things now.
The more of these I watch, the more I wonder about the chances of anyone finding a genuinely honest tradesman to do a good job. The temptation to add unnecessary jobs and charges is always there.

Its rather shocking to learn but taking a relatively small sum of money from the government is nothing compared to trying to extort a pleasant elderly man of £14000 for a £5000 roof when only a £450 repair is necessary, the salesman in question should go to prison for that.

The website for Munro Solutions just displays an "under construction" banner now, but if you do a WHOIS query to pull up the registration address and look it up on Google the address is the same as a day centre that caters to the elderly in Bridlington!
I don't trust tradesmen myself and any rogue can get qualified so tickets and badges mean nothing..I hate seeing anyone being ripped off and it's extremely difficult to find honest so called tradesmen.

Most of the Elderly People in Our Country (UK) get small about of money from their State Pensions or the Government Benefits. With that in mind they try to deal & cope with life with what they have.
These Low Life Vile Rogue Traders scam them, for EVERY Penny they have; This is Absolute Disgust. Shame on ALL YOU Rogue Traders!!

The BBC ripped the British tax payer off by handing over 56000 GBP to Dan for approx. 30 days' work in total. Yes, the BBC themselves said they paid Dan for a few days' work every 3 months between 2008 and 2011. And it wasn't even proper work. He was just a bike driving sidekick to make Matt look less feminine (which didn't work, because it made Matt & Dan look like a gay couple).
I wonder what would happen if any tradesman charged 56000 GBP for 30 days' work. He would find himself on the Rogue Traders program, no doubt.

Solicitors and barristers set the standards with there prices they charge! Others then want to make the same profit for there time

Tbf just the scaffolding it’s self would be about £1500 and labour on the roof will be a good 2 weeks work for 2 guys so say that’s £4000 materials £1500 il say it’s an £7000 to £7500 quote and that’s bang on and I’m no ruff trader that is what it is £5000 is cheap and labour must be on crappy wages

I just googled it and you're right - benefit and council tax fraud for £24,000 - I am amazed working on a programme like that and claiming benefits as well - unbelievable. Perhaps the BBC will now make a new programme about him !
