  • COMMUNIST CITY 20 Minutes from Krakow - Nowa Huta 🇵🇱
Join me as we roam the streets of Nova Huta in Krakow Poland.
We visit a restaurant that dates back to the communist era that serves amazing food, especially their RAW Steak.
Luckily we meet Jacek, my subscriber from Nova Huta, and he shows us around all the best places to visit.
If you enjoy adventure videos from the former Soviet Union and Central & Eastern Europe, then grab your vodka, some zakuski and join me as we visit Nowa Huta, the communist eutopia in Krakow Poland.

Poland never disappoints. You should at some point visit Katowice and Nikiszowiec I think, maybe also Chorzow, Bytom, Zabrze and Gliwice too? Lots of history if you like industrial history. Have visited Katowice and was pleasantly surprised, but never had time to visit the cities outside.

Justin, have you seen André Traveler channel? He loves Metka Cebulowa which is a raw meat spread with onion, it sounds just like the “steak tartar” and you can pick it up at the grocery store, refrigerate it and take it home even. I was born in poland but live in the western US now so Im looking at your content with an unhealthy amount of jealousy. Thank you for the cool content!

Nice! But Nowa Huta is located Cracov :-) It is one of 18 districts od Cracov. 20 min (by tram) from the Old Center of Cracov - about 8 km (15 min by car). Nowa Huta has a lot of tourists - you can visit the steelwork, you can visit "nuclear" undeground shelters, it has a lot of green areas, a small lake, meadows, the Cystersi abbey from 1222, etc. You didnt see the oldest buinding - places where Nowa Huta was started in 1949

Have you visited Eissenhuttenstadt in the far east of Germany, close to the Polish border ? You will love it, a model GDR socialist city. If your fond of the architecture it’s definitely worth visiting. I enjoyed this vid have been to Krakow but didn’t get to Nowa Hutu will definitely visit next time. Thanks for posting.

I doubt that steak tartar comes from france. Word "tartar" or "tatar" links to Tatars or Mongols who used to invade Eastern Europe. They supposedly ate their meat raw
