It should be noted that Tatooine was turned into a desert planet due to the natives staged a popular uprising, causing the Rakatans to retaliate by turning the whole planet's surface into glass, which then shattered and became sand.
I also read that the species on Tattooine that were the top species were tortured & destroyed by the Rakata & devolutionized into what we know now are Sand People & Jawas
I loved the dawn of the Jedi comics and the conflict w the Rakata, and how they later appeared in KOTOR and the bane books, great video as always, I liked the new music at the beginning! I wish we could’ve got more Dawn of the Jedi comics

I believe it was also due to the Rakata having genetically modified themselves, the plague that stripped them of the force was why it spread so rapidly and is among the many reasons they fell so quickly
