Welcome to my home borough! I featured the following AWESOME places in this guide:
1. Queens Botanical Gardens
2. Lhasa Fast Food
3. Lockwood Shops
4. Museum of Moving Image
5. Brooklyn Grange (yes, it is in Queens)!
6. Gantry State Park
7. Murray's Cheese Bar & Caves
8. Rockaway Brewing
RIN DMC, LL Cool J, Jon Favreau, Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel, Beastie Boys, Steinway Pianos, many of the greats are all Queens!
@Andy From NYC Jamaica Avenue is not considered a destination point; it is a transfer point.
Mexican american born and raised in Corona, Queens. I don’t want to be biased. But Queens is the best borough out of the 5 in NYC! Tourist make the grand mistake to spend their trip at times square. When they can just take a 15 min train ride to Queens and experience so much more! Sarah love your content and charisma!
@Anthony Frank if you got a problem with that then you really shouldn’t be in NYC. Let alone queens. We don’t stand with racists here.
Action kid is from Astoria
@Andy From NYC Skrew you! ActionKid is awesome!
So glad I found this video! Spending a few hrs in queens before heading back to tx. I didn’t want to waste time going to time square.
Straight of the bat I could tell you are getting better at your videos Sarah. This video feels more polished over and more well done. I can tell also that you're more comfortable in front of the camera. Well done!! Keep up the good work :)
Thanks for showcasing my hometown Sarah. No place else like it!
My pleasure!! Thank you for watching :)
That Tibetan place looks ‘lush’. I’m so tempted to stick that on my ‘get fat or die trying’ list whilst out there next year 🤞🏻😋😉.
This is terrific. I'm a Queens boy at heart and A+ work!
I had no idea I wanted to go to Queens! Thanks Sarah, excellent info as always!
You should visit! It has so many awesome finds!
Thanks Sarah. You're looking amazing !
That was a great video. Did not realize Queens was that large of a place. I hope you do more of them. Thanks
Thanks Nancy! Will do! Happy to teach you something new :)
9. Forest Hills Gardens!! A very affluent tudoresque neighborhood that takes you to the UK in NYC, a very nice place to visit.
Excellent video, Sarah! I am from Toronto, and I can't wait to visit Queens!
I miss my hometown Astoria. Love this video. Well produced . Entertaining and informative.
Why’d you keave
I love the original Rockaway Brewing location in Rockaway.

Thanks David!
Live in Queens and still learned some stuff. Thanks Funk

Love Queens! It's where I stay whenever I travel to NYC. I've been to the Museum of Modern Image (great Muppets exhibit and fun hands-on stuff) and Lhasa Fast Food (OMG good...it catches up to you though!) Will have to try the others next time...and there will be a next time! Oh, there's an amazing Greek Grocery store in Astoria...it's amazing!
Thanks for sharing this video love it
Awesome video, my bucket list for things to see in NYC is getting longer! I also recommend Lhasa Fast Food. A bit tricky to find but totally worth it!
Thank you Sarah Funk you gave me a lot of first date ideas.

I also live in Queens , it is an interesting borough and a lot of new developments are happening all over . A great borough to live and visit.
Can you get into down town Manhattan from Flushing Queens on public transport? I'm from the UK. Thank you
I was already pretty much sold at the beginning but when you mentioned the botanical garden I was totally sold! Will finish the rest later 🙂 thanks!
FLUSHING!!!!!
I need to do a whole guide on Flushing!
Great video! You inspired this Manhattan resident to explore the borough!
Thank you Pete. You definitely need to explore! Thanks for watching :)
Well-hidden Tibetan food looks quite tasty and incredible! Spices can be very deceiving until they kick in moments later! Those are great Manhattan views from Gantry State Park. I haven't been to New York City yet, but I definitely want to try to visit it soon including Queens! Great video!
Hopefully you'll get to NYC soon. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching! :)
I can never leave Queens I’ve living here since i was 10 years old and i love it 🥰
There's so much to love! Thank you for watching :)
Thank you!
I went to Spicy Tibet restaurant in Jackson Heights which should be across the street from the the Roosevelt train station. I went to the Museum of moving image on a school trip when I was in high school.

Flushing, where the Mets play, Astoria where my grandma used to live before she died Southside Jamaica where my boy 50 Cent is from, Queensbridge Projects where my favorite rappers Mobb Deep and Big Noyd are from
How do you forget to mention Nas
@@chanelmone4721 the only good song from Nas is gave you power and either
Josh Raheim Don’t care about your opinion but how are you not gonna mention Nas when mentioning Queensbridge. I like “if I ruled the world “ imagine that
@@chanelmone4721 not my favorite rapper
Must’ve never LISTENED to nas to say that
Yes 👏🏻
More videos on boroughs other that Manhattan please!
Not the only cemetery-Calvary Cemetery is a Roman Catholic cemetery in Maspeth and Woodside, Queens, in New York City, New York, United States. With about three million burials, it has the largest number of interments of any cemetery in the United States
I have my best memories in Flashing Queens NYC🪄💫💕
Ahhh I see what you did there 😂😉
@@lynhrt2337 Why you can know that 🙈😂

Peruvian immigrant arrived in flushing 1993 . Lived in Bayside then long island then back to Bayside left 2019 thank God.
Greetings from dallas baby
NICE,I GROW UP IN QUEENS WENT TO FRANKLIN K.LANE HS AND BIG METS FAN
Thank you Sarah for this video on Queens.
The last time we were in NYC with my family was in summer 2019.
We stayed in Long Island City and we absolutely loved it.
Our hotel - Home2Suites LIC - was very near the Dutch Kills subway and that was very convenient to go to Manhattan, Lexington av station was just two stops away.
If one day we ended up moving to NYC then LIC is where we would want to live, we love the atmosphere and we could make this our home.
Now you make me want to come back because I have to discover Murray's cheese bar and cave, my mother used to make cheeses in France and she won national contests several times in the category of Goat cheeses, so I would love to check what Murray's has got to offer with goat.
Lhasa Fast Food is a place you want to make me try.
And lastly we were able to go to the Museum of Moving Image in summer 2019 and we loved it.
Hi Nicolas, glad you enjoyed this video. Thanks for watching :) Hopefully you'll get to visit NYC again soon.
I live in queens and Corona is my home🥰 I love it here
Queens Baby!!!! I am thankful for growing up in such a diverse Boro. It is the melting pot of NYC. I grew up with so many ethnicities and cultures. Big up to Woodside, Sunnyside, Astoria, Ridgewood, Briarwood, and Corona (which showed me the worst in Queens)..but all filled with diversity.
@Anthony Frank Your comment proves you are not from Queens so exit to the left...Kevin!!
Miss where I grew up, in Jamaica, Queens near Parsons Boulevard
She’s not going there😂
Hillcrest HS right there.
You should do a video on Flushing Queens next time.
Awesome content
I’m totally biased cuz I’m a born and bred queens native!
Lhasa fast food is not there anymore FYI - during covid - the whole block was caught by fire
Cool to learn how Queens got its name.

Queens is the BEST.....WOODSIDE MY HOMETOWN
I grew up in Long Island City, and seeing the old Pepsi sign made me tear up because that was where the Pepsi Factory used to be at. I miss my old Neighborhood now.
I'd go to Jackson Heights just to meet Randy Watson.
The Steinway Piano Factory is a fascinating place to tour.
Sketchy is Life.
Once again, you have made me hungry as a horse. BTW , love your hat!

Def go see my boy Steve at Centro on Vernon Blvd for a great pie 😋
Good tip! Thank you!
Anthony Bourdain was a good man he inspired me to travel. Sad what happened to him.
Be happy he is Happy or Resurrect him. We are always Yeshua's.
He was murdered. My favorite TV host too
@@michaelhurley3171 No question about it watching the show Killer Coworkers matured me into knowing that people get murdered at the workplace sadly. I liked Anthony Bourdain
There's SO many can't miss places in queens that I'm shocked you narrowed it down to 8
Can u make a video where u can get the best hot chocolate for Christmas.

I heard the sets sesame street was filmed in a warehouse in queens
Nice
As it turns out, I went to Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, which is right across from the Museum of Moving Image. And seeing as how it's right next to Kaufman Astoria Studios, there is a lot of performing arts and film action going on over there. I went to the museum a lot and I thoroughly enjoyed it and I am glad you featured this in your video Sarah.
Thanks for sharing! I didn't know that! I'm glad you loved the museum :)
My favorite 🤩 restaurant Lhasa fast 💨 food 🥘 but u miss one more place Tibetan Japanese restaurant one block away
