Wow you learn something everyday. I was unaware that New York's oldest bridge was in the Bronx. In addition, that the area has a zoo or botanical garden. Worth checking out. That is really cool about the store that specializes in Bronx items, and the bookstore in South Bronx. The coffee shop and bakery seem inviting as well. Hopefully, someday I can visit.
Thanks for sharing. I was born and raised in the Bronx. It was nice to see places that if I was well off I could visit and spend so much money on. Would truly appreciate if you can do another one of these videos but this time show what most average Bronx people covet and cherish as great spots. Like the parks and certain mom and pops stores that have been here for years that are close to historical but yet aren’t.
I love the Pine! My family and I have been eating their food for years!! We even get their catering for the holidays! The penne ala vodka and chicken parm is the best in the whole world!!! Plus the stuffed mushrooms 😋😋😋 I’m craving it rn may go their later been thinking about their food for a minute and this vid just made me realize I gotta act and go their! May stop at that Arthur ave bakery while I’m at it, and that book store!! Thanks for this video I was raised in the bx and you point out all this good stuff in my backyard, I live in Harlem now so I’m still pretty close. Now I got something to do today been bored working at home
I forgot the Regents doo wop group was from the Bronx. They had the hit song Barbara Ann before The Beach Boys made the song a hit. BYI, a bluegrass fiddler was an acquaintance is from the Bronx. My two cents. 😀
Of course the Bronx is worth it!! Anyway, I know Kat who owns Mottley!! We’re buddies from church! Her food is delicious. I wish Mottley Kitchen would deliver throughout the Bronx. I’d support her exclusively like my hairs on fire LOL. I’ve only been there once because my work schedule doesn’t sync with the cafes schedule 😔. Kudos on this video! I enjoyed it! I hope theres a part 2 for this video coming soon where she visits the Northeast Bronx and not just the South Bronx and Riverdale (you know, places only hipsters world care about because of its similarities and proximity to manhattan). We have bay plaza, City Island, Pelham bay Park (including Orchard Beach), the Bronx Zoo. We’ve got the gorgeous Pelham Parkway (the East Coast Greenway), and Gun Hill Brewery. Pelham Parkway is beautiful for a leisurely walk or daily jog, but it really doesn’t get its due. I’m gonna have to make a video showing the Northeast Bronx some love. We never get any love. The Bronx has a beautiful small suburban area in the side streets of Pelham Gardens and Indian Village in Morris Park by Jacobi Hospital. Williamsbridge Road off of Pelham Parkway is a bustling Main Street with great eateries, and same for Morris Park Ave between williamsbridge and white plains roads. We got delicious West Indian food, and we’re just minutes away from Westchester. Sarah, girl, hit me up and I’ll show you more cool places in the Bronx, boo :-). We gotta showcase the whole shebang!
RellupNorth I thought it was one word when referring to the neighborhood, and two when referring to the bridge. I was referring to the bridge. Is that incorrect?

Would truly appreciate if you can do another one of these videos but this time show what most average Bronx people covet and cherish as great spots. Like the parks and certain mom and pops stores that have been here for years that are close to historical but yet aren’t.
The fish spot next to artusos is fire too tbh fried fish shrimp and French fries 😍
To this Bronxite, born & raised their, B’H it’s absolutely worth it!
I'm from the Bronx and I ❤️ your channel.
Thank you! Appreciate you watching!
Yessss more please!
I Lived In The Bronx Nearly All Of My Life (70) Years And It Way A Great Time In My Life!!!
I'm shedding real tears... I'm so home sick!
Me too bro me too, as long as we have a way to get there its still our home.👍
@@lastbriteSon I'm in Indiana now, Its been 14yrs since I been back! A lot has changed, but its still The Bronx!
@@jameskirby8425 lucky😊 i hope you are enjoying it, stay safe
Happy new year sarah hope your feeling well 😘
The lit bar opened?!!!! Man cannot wait to be back and check it out!
I cant wait to get back to NYC and visit the Bronx. Many of these spots look perfect for me to visit. Great video!
I’d be remiss if I didn’t encourage you to also visit Pelham Bay Park, the Bronx Zoo, Pelham Parkway, Ferry Point Park, and Morris Park.
I love the Bronx! High Bridge is my favorite. 😍
Then you’d know it’s one word not two
RellupNorth I thought it was one word when referring to the neighborhood, and two when referring to the bridge. I was referring to the bridge. Is that incorrect?
@@therealhannahlee The High Bridge is two words. You're right!
Sarah Funk Thanks, Sarah! Great video! 😊
Will definitely check out artuso cafe and Frankie and Johnny's when I return in NYC for my birthday in November ...want to go when I visit in June but most likely won't be able to afford it ! Thanks for the recommendation beautiful lady😘😘😘 xox
Sarah is absolutely blooming and killing it. Go girl 🤰🏻🥰😘. From this side of the pond here in England (Brexitland)
Thanks Rich! You're awesome!
Can i ask you what camera you used to make video? Great quality , bright , crystal clear , great color
Been to that first place. I simply want to checkout the less-popular spots in the BX (aka the rougher areas).
Those are some cool places! I like the views from the High Bridge and then enjoying some homemade pastries! It's been quite a while since I've gotten pastries out and about, but I will have to keep that place in mind when I eventually get out to NYC one of these days. I love all the local spots you check out! Awesome video!
There's so much more to do here and explore you should definitely make another video ☺️
Interesting !!!
Thanks
Maybe give addresses/locations of restaurants and sites
Rest in Peace Big Pun 🎶
Wow beautiful place
Another mouth watering video!
Love this video, thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching!
Im at Frankie and Johnnie now and ordered your recommendation
That's awesome! Hope you enjoyed it!
@@SarahFunky i did very much thanks . im a foodie i go to Raos once a year
Thank you so much for showing the best of The Bronx. Most of the time you only hear the negative. Next itme you eat Italian food watch Moonstruck for some good romcom. You just gained another subscriber.
The shot in the opening montage of the apartments over the Cross Bronx Expwy and the G Washington Bridge is not the Bronx, it’s Washington Heights, Manhattan.
If it wasn't for the Bronx... ya know the rest!
Aaaayyee!!! Uptown Baby!
Being from the Bronx, I'm super excited to see this video!
After filming this video, I fell in love with the Bronx! I love your borough! If you have any other places you recommend please let me know and perhaps I can feature them!
I'm glad because the Bronx is underrated. Definitely looking forward to part 2 and possibly a part 3 (when indoor dining is open) where you can truly experience the ambiance at some places.
-City Island
-Milk burger (amazing burgers!!)
-Beatstro
-Charlie's Bar and Kitchen
-Empanology (at the Bronx Brewery)
Not In the Bronx but Puerto Plata Seafood In BK or their food truck in Dyckman 153rd street of NYC are musts to cover!! Thanks for capturing the beauty of the Bronx :)
@@GigTax Thank you so much for these tips! I have noted them all and plan on featuring some in upcoming Bronx videos. I wanted to feature Beatstro in the first video but they are currently closed :(
Happy new year , you are beautiful 👶🏻❤️❤️thanks for the video 🍀🍀🍀🍀
Yes it is worth it!!!!!
Lots of culture, history, and value.
