Hi!!! I recently watched your video but decided to bring my scooter to a shop to have someone change my tire professionally. For some reason after they changed the tire in the front my cruise control doesn’t cut off by tapping the brake or by tapping the throttle
One key point to keep in mind when working with any tubeless tire is that the opposite side of the tire bead needs to be kept in the drop center, or the well in the middle of the wheel. That's what allows enough slack to pull the bead over the edge of the rim. The other necessity is application of tire lube, which allows the rubber to slide more easily over the edge as you work.
I'm guessing that this tip is actually a critically important bit of advice. It seems that it will help me to get the tire off using a lot less force on the levers. That will be useful for avoiding deformation of the rim. Thanks, dude, you're a champ.
Perfect procedure how to change the tires of Ninebot..I bought my Ninebot Max last week so i keep on watching on your very helpful videos.Thank you Dude
For all those who struggled with the final step, where you need the tire to set itself with a "large amount of air" - there's a much easier way. All you need to do is take some decent string and wrap it around the tire, along the thread. Next, make a simple knot, put a screwdriver right on top, and make another knot to secure the screwdriver. Next, rotate the screwdriver, which will tighten the rope. The rope needs to be right in the middle of thread. This will either set the tire on its own, or start putting air into it as normal, and it will set.
after all the heaving and huffing half way through the video i needed a Red Bull and a valium to calm myself down all this i learned when i got my first bicycle this should have been very easy but as you see poor guy was insecure but learning as he went along good job xaxa
The final pop of a tyre into the rim is one of the most satisfying thing ever. Replacing a tyre on your own is such a nightmare. You could have stepped on the tyre and used your weight to push the edges down. But great video man. I heard you say for God’s sake 🤣
13:19 Thank you very much for this informative video. I had to pause the vid to immediately cancel my pending order for the upgrade tire as you quickly made me realize that I am not prepared for this battle att. At the point in the vid the struggle with the levers is inserting too far. Not catching the angle tip and only that. Been there, it's tricky.
This video helped me get the punctured tire off, and with some help from a couple friends I was able to get the new tire around the rim but about 1/4-1/3 of the bead didn’t set, it’s still down in the trough of the rim. I’ve got some actual tire levers like you’re using coming in the mail, would I be able to get those down in the and let the bead out? Would that damage the tire?
Just a heads up: The stem will loosen within a couple months. Take down the stem. To tighten your stem there is a 1 inch long hex bolt within the takedown latch that you will need to tighten by 1-2 turns that’s all😁
After ~ 2 month UPPDATE: I have since I bought the scooter only maintained the screws that I screwed when assembled the scooter, but will consider take down the steam. Still no issues since I bought it!❤
After mounting the tire, it wouldn't inflate. I even tried using a starting fluid and fire to seat the bead and it still didn't work? Do you have any ideas I could try?
Thank you so much for creating this useful tutorial. I've just purchased the ninebot Max G30LE, and I wanted to know how to change tires in the future. Thank you!
Absolutely there are a couple of solid and air tires you can buy. Air filled for more suspension feeling and solid if you want to make sure they don’t pop haha
@@ScootLetsGo That's great news thanks. I've just ordered the ninebot max G30 from ebay. I got it new for a great price (£450)and have only just noticed it has solid tyres (not my preference) Nice to know, if it turns out to be a bit too much of a boneshaker I can swap them out.
@@zibbezabba2491 G30 doesn't have solid tires from the factory. They are tubeless however, but still air filled and have more suspension than solid tires.
Is the trouble worth it? I need as much cushion as I can have for my bad back. I fear ending up in the middle of nowhere with a flat tire. How much more suspension/absorbtion can I expect from this one compared to ES2?
What tires are you currently running? If they are solid tires you will benefit from having air filled. However if you’re worried about punctures, then stick with solid.
@@ScootLetsGo I had the cheapest electric scooter I could find with tiny solid wheels and it made my herniated discs scream. I want as much cushion as I can get.
16:14 were you able to use that foot pump to seat the beads or did you have someone with a compressor do it? It does usually require a burst of air to seat, which is going to be difficult with just a manual pump. With some car tires and wheelbarrow tires, even an air compressor inflator doesn't work, and then it needs a special air tank with a large diameter valve to dump all the air in one shot directly into the tire.
On the tyre itself is mentioned 55 psi max pressure. Which pressure do you use? And if the tyre isn't fit well onto rim, how much pressure we can use to get tyre fit well? What do you think?
When you are putting the tire on, to seat the bead, you can put a little more pressure. Maybe up to 80-100psi to get it to pop. However, you would be better off taking it to mechanic that can get the bead seated, if you don't feel comfortable doing that. Riding PSI, I set to around 40.

@@ScootLetsGo thanks for the quick reply, i tried the air compressor at the local garage, but they are restricted to 60psi..... i tried the ratchet and that WAS working in that i could get air into the tyre, i pumped it up with my hand pump (see previous comment about local garage) to 160psi but the tyre still wont snap onto the bead.... then when i took the pump nozzle off my valve exploded, FML!!! luckily i have spare valve but still no close to getting the tyre on the bead. :-/
Some time's you need three hand's, a big yes on that soapy water
A que lado de la rueda delantera va la arandela ?
It goes on the opposite side the the brake drum
Hi, i watch you from Italy.
Is this the original tire or the best replace for that?
Thanks and good job!
Welcome. Greetings from 🇬🇧:)
This is an original tire and works perfectly.
Link in description for it :).
How to change the tube
Why was there no slime, tyre sealant in there? Thanks
There is, its a gel layer they put on the inside. This is actually better than the tire slime so that it doesn't go everywhere. :)
Scoot, Scoot, Let's Go! Ah ok that makes sense. I’ve used the slime product in my push bike and wrongly assumed it was the same stuff. I have a nine bot. Great scooter hey
Nick O I love mine. Great for getting to and from work. Now I use it to commute to friends instead of the car. Taking the scenic route. :)
if u keep the clamp on and position the other lip of the tier to the middle of the rim u have more space come right off without tools
Thanks for the tip :)
Awesome video. I’m preparing to change my back tire this weekend. Is it safe to assume the steps are pretty similar?
I believe the process is the same, you just need to be extra careful as it's the motor. Be sure to take it fully off before doing anything.
If you have someone to help you too, that would be a bonus.
Plus I had to by a special plastic tool cause it wasn't recommended to use any metal tool do to damaging
very nice video
Thank you 🙏
Thanks mate! Just wonder how long have you used your Max before you need to change the tire? Was it because it broke or it’s a nice-to-have change? I just got a new one and wonder if I need to buy a spare tire already just in case, since I hade some bad experience with some other pneumatic tires on an another scooter
I was sponsored at the time to show how to change the tire. My other tire was fine so kept for backup. However, I would buy another just to make sure you have a spare :)
Tubeless tire?
Yeah it is.
Holy Hell!!!
I rather buy the Nine Bot Max 2. Or at least buy a run with the tire and tube already installed.
There is no tubes in these tires.
Max 2 means gen 2? In what way is it better?
@@rbmanb gen 2 allows you to sustain speed for longer when battery level drops. However the trade off is a little torque
Realize my rear tire was flat and I didn't have all that stuff to fix but I managed but it was very difficult
Even with all the stuff it can be tricky.
A bike shop would probably be more convenient for people
Did it with my bare hands
@@KNUCKLESoarevalo well done.

Great work!, But it looks like it was a little bit tricky 😆
Hahah, this was. But with a little persistance you can do it. :)
You do things the hard way ,just use your knees to hold the corner in place and use 3 spoons to snap it on
