12 Pantry Essential Check List -scratchpantry.com/recipes/2022/7/s2dwi158fxjz8sadl8zn97t3er3ood
I view a well- stocked pantry the same way I view an emergency fund in the bank. It’s a cushion against hard times, because we all deal with hard times sooner or later.
This recently happened with my family, my dad was in the hospital with COPD, & I had to take time off of work because well he is my dad., and I wanted to be with him. So I made sure I have emergency money so I could take off work without actually losing money.
Boy, is that the truth! About a month before COVID exploded, my pantry was kinda empty. I was even thinking of shopping weekly to have fresh stuff for each week of cooking. Thankfully, I was able to really stock up before things got bad, started freezer meals, and sailed thru isolation. So glad I got on top of it before we ended up suffering!
Well said
Keep some cash safely locked away too, just in case ATM don't work (it happened to me a few weeks ago).
Only at the 6:45 mark of the video, but it's worth saying: there's nothing wrong with prepping for anything. Being prepared (being a prepper) should be a normalized idea.
Part of the Boy Scout Motto is Be Prepared and they have been saying that since 1910 here in the US.
Absolutely. Emergency preparedness is an important skill, stocking up to be able to care for yourself and your loved ones and being self sufficient were how this country has thrived for so long. Only now that the majority are no longer self sufficient do things like supply chain issues and inflation carry such a large risk. Preparedness is wise!
No shame in my game! 😉
I also find it odd that there is such a stigma still against doomsday preppers. We just went through a pandemic and because of some leaders making things like vaccines available in a year or less verses 5, we are coming out of it in 2 years. If a global disruption in global food supplies, as well as the possibility of WW3, and the dollar about to crash, I just find it odd that people even question "doomsday preppers" With that said, I also find it Biblical, and being a wise steward to gather while the gettings good, because throughout history we have seen that that isn't always the case. Then finally, being able to share and bless others without even an extra trip to the store. That is what I find is the most rewarding and the most often used portion of any prepping that I have done. But I love the analogy of car insurance, home insurance and health, but no food insurance.....the one thing that every human needs for existence!
Trial & error learning here. Im getting better, and glad to have started a while ago. Certainly not really good at it yet, but at least we won't be starving to death for a little while.
Unsalted butter was on sale at my grocery store, 50 cents a pound! That's unheard of. I bought 18 pounds to make ghee!!!
When the first shutdown of the pandemic happened, my then-husband and I ran to the store and bought a bunch of random, shelf-stable ingredients that we don't normally buy. Here I am two years later, divorced, moved, and I still have those ingredients on my shelf with no idea what to do with them. Since the divorce, I've become a prepper. Little by little, I'm learning what works for me and what doesn't. Now, I keep a spreadsheet with 14 days worth of meals planned, and a full list of the ingredients I'll need to buy in order to follow this meal plan for a year. I am steadily working on stocking up on the ingredients, buying a little more than what's needed to follow my plan until my next grocery trip, and stocking up when there's a sale. I currently have enough for 107 days. Given the bad news from Ukraine, and the rising cost of fertilizer, my extended family has also started preparing in case food becomes too expensive, or we have shortages. We've made an agreement that we'll all do what we can, and then help each other out when we need to. I want other people to get ready, too. The more people who are prepared, the better the outcome will be when emergencies do happen.
Smart thinking! I’ve realized I don’t have enough to season my preps, so I’m currently trying to build that. We do eat a lot of some varieties of beans and rice, but some varieties I never cook and I have those taking up space. I figure I can always trade them if we are in a situation. Like hummus, I never eat it but I can make and trade..or just trade it for something someone else has or is growing.
Too true! Don't feel bad; learning is learning👍
I am a proud prepper. Nothing to be ashamed of. If we all did it we would be safer!
Agree 💯
Girl, thank you for being rational and sane about this and reminding people to be a blessing to others not just to themselves. The fear mongering and completely weirdo conspiracies and accusations in some of these circles are tearing my spirit down. I can't thank you enough for delivering responsible good advice in a sane and rational way.
YES to the sharing! I *DESPISE* those "screw you I'mma get mine"-type folks! Being able to help others is a JOY.
Becky, 69 yr old cancer survivor here. Partially handicapped, but doing well. I have been stocking my freezer for years; getting as many deals as I can. Liked what you said about sharing. Used to cook, and share meals, with an elderly man who lived upstairs until he passed away. Told me many times he appreciated a good home cooked meal. Made him small freezer meals also. Saw his sister when she came to pick up his things. She and her husband lived in NC. She hugged and blessed me for taking good care of him. It was just the right thing to do. Purchased the multi-use grocery bags you suggested to keep your freezer organized; and got them for 2 of my sisters who have freezers. They are wonderful! Thanks for always sharing with us. You are a great inspiration. God Bless. xxoo
What grocery bags are these?
You are a great inspiration also. Helping a neighbor is something to be proud of. You will be blessed for it.
@@nancycolbert2703 Thank you. The Lord has blessed me many times over.
@@jowhite6547 Those fabric shopping bags. I used these in my freezer for the longest time, but moved up slightly to those fabric toy baskets. Nothing wrong with the bags, but I got tired of going thru floppy bags. The toy baskets have held up several years now, and they come in a variety of sizes. Not poo-pooing her idea, just sharing my experience👍
That is such a sweet story☺️ Nice to hear stuff like this in this ridiculous world💞
Oh my gosh Becky, you are like a home-Ec teacher that we all need to learn from right now! Looking forward to your lessons!
Financial analysts always tell people to have a 6 month emergency fund of cash in the bank but people are never told to have a 6 month emergency supply of food in their homes.
I am all about this kind of “reasonable prepper” content. This week you and Jess from Roots and Refuge both talked on the same topic. I’m just soaking it all in.
Thank you for recommending Azure, Becky. You might want to let people know that they do a “drop” in multiple cities where an Azure truck drops your orders off in a central spot in your town. I did my first pickup this morning (Cincinnati, Ohio) and it was great. A local person is the organizer for the timing and he (in our case) emailed everyone with the date and time. I arrived just as the truck pulled up. It takes a bit of time for the unload but it was fun to talk to others who can, grind wheat, preserve, etc. I can give you more detail on the experience if anyone wants to know.
I’m just south of Dayton and crafting my first order. Trying to make sure I’m buying things I actually need. They really have great prices for things that I normally buy and there are limits on beans, pasta etc at the store currently. I’m excited to try it out.
Thank you Becky for these types of videos. I use organic Beet Sugar because I am allergic to cane sugar. I have not been able to buy beet sugar for a few months and when I did find some the cost has been super inflated. I watched your video and it occurred to me I should search for bulk Beet sugar. I just bought 50 lbs thanks to you at a cheaper cost per pound 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I couldn’t agree more with you, Becky! I have been doing emergency Food prep for about 9 years now and a lot of people laughed at me for doing so until Covid hit! I am trying to be as self sufficient as possible with growing our own veggies for us and our chickens and constantly stocking up my 3 full pantries and half of a double garage full of food grade buckets with dried ingredients! Water was a concern until recently we now have someone come in and dig us a second well with a hand crank! I’d rather be prepared than sorry later! Much love and ty for your videos and insights
Great! I’m glad it didn’t discourage you when people did that!
@@amandachavez5795 thank you and yes actually those were the first people to ask if I have extra bread, which I didn’t but I offered them to show how to make bread from skratch and offered some of my flour! Some were thankful and said yes to my surprise tho some declined lol okay then 🤷♀️
@Nina Armstrong ! A little louder for the people in the back!!!
@@gaudywidget thank you 😊
This is my dream! We are only about two years into preparedness and I've gotten many things set up, including larger gardens and chickens. However my husband is not on board with the "clutter" that comes with stocking up so I'm currently at a little bit of a pause. Any suggestions on how to keep things put up and out of the main living areas? I have a good sized pantry but it fills up quick when you start adding buckets and bags of dry goods, not to mention animal feed and gardening supplies! I also homeschool my two daughters and that comes with a lot. A hand crank well is on my dream to do list, right after getting goats.
Money saving is the number one for me buying in bulk. When we lived in Puerto Rico I would go shopping every six weeks. I learned to substitute items in recipes and planned meals based on items left in the pantry.
The preper stigma is real even when shopping sometimes… I always buy bulk BUT don’t get to store it for a longer haul yet because I use it with a large family lol what would be someone else’s “hoarding” is just a regular shop for us and gets me nasty looks at the store sometimes 🤷♀️ I never judge someone else because I don’t know why they are buying maybe they have 6 kids like us or maybe they just have a good stockpile not for me to judge
That's rude! Sorry people do that to you☹️ Wish people would mind their own business; not like you're stealing! I give the stink eye, but it's for people blocking isles oblivious to other humans existing, or for the guy who tried to run me over the other day when I was walking my dog🙄 Not people who aren't interfering with my life!
@@gohawks3571People who act like THAT,are to be IGNORED, they are showing their IGNORANCE.❗️
you have to have money to buy in bulk. I just priced a half a cow here locally from the rancher and they are asking 600.00, for half. I dont know if thats normal but I could buy a small greenhouse with 600.00, or a new freezer (but no meat to put in it) or almost pay my rent for a month. Tone deaf to the people struggling to just make it month to month which over 60% of the country is right now based on the last news piece I saw on the subject.
I made inventory lists of everything and am trying my best to get a 3-6 months supply! Today I bought 10 lbs of chicken leg quarters threw them in my roaster. I then took the meat off the bone and put the bones back in to make broth! my next project is food grade buckets! I know we are headed for shortages! love watching your channel for more great ideas!
you are lucky. Can't get 10 lbs of chicken here right now.
Heads up on the vittles vaults- the weights they are marketed as holding are averages based on air filled pet foods. Most of the time they still stack fine with heavier items but when completely full they may start to collapse the one below, so test them out by filling just over halfway and adding more over a few days and always put the heavier items on the bottom. The 40lb holds about 50lbs of flour and the 25lb can hold about 40lbs of rice.
I have had the same experience!
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Just to let everyone know, if you go to your local grocery store that decorates cakes chances are they might get their icing in food safe plastic buckets and if you ask they might give you or sell you the buckets cheap. And the gamma lids fit on them.. This can save you quit a bit of money. I have s lot of my staples in the buckets I get.
I’ve been wanting to do this too. Do you need the gamma lids? Or are they just more convenient?
@@AubreyAaden I think they are just more convenient. But no just get one of those hook openers, the lids that come with the buckets are hard to get off.
This is what I do and it’s so great. They’re already food safe, plus it’s reusing an already spent item. Sometimes they have 5 gallon buckets and gamma lids would fit those.
I can confirm this....I am a cake decorator and we do get both 3 and 5 gallon buckets, we save them for customers all the time for free and I also get my buckets there!
@@amberdabney6174 I use to be a cake decorator but retired 2 years ago
The nearest grocery store is 30 miles north OR 30 miles east OR 20 south. I learned 26 years ago when I became a middle of nowhere Central Oregon cattle ranchers wife, best just to stay stocked up....and stay that way. I just bought a milk cow. Chickens up next. Garden on the way. Azure Standard delivers my dry good. With any luck I can avoid town. (Bend)
"Things just fall into the cart" yep that was me. Thank you becky I'm in Ireland and prices were expensive before and starting to rise quickly. I'm trying on a tight budget to stock bits
You do awesome videos...I always learn something new from you. And I say that as someone who cans, freezes, raises all our own meat, and grows the majority of our vegetables and some fruits. Being prepared and preserving food is not hoarding or fear mongering. It is a way of live that used to be the norm and now is coming back. Homesteading is about taking care of yourselves, family and friends, and it brings a lot of joy to our family when we can share our blessings with those around us. Keep up the awesome videos! Blessings to you and Josh!
I do buy in bulk as well, not 50lb. Bags, but 20lb. At times friends come to me because I do have the extra sugar or flour. I have been doing this for many years, way before covid.
Almost a quarter of a million subscribers WOW! ❤️🇬🇧
CONGRATULATIONS in advance 😍
I had the same thought. Gratulations, Becky!
I think the covid lockdown was a prime example. People buying things at the last minute left a lot of people high & dry. Being prepared is the smart thing to do, as you said, food insurance. You are an amazing young woman & I hope & pray it starts a movement, because what would we do if our country became like the Ukraine. Think it can't happen, think again, the Japanese were able to rain hell on Hawaii & Americans didn't even realize it until it was too late. God bless ya'll. 🙋♀️😁🙏💜
My favorite comment you mentioned was “buy only what you use”, I also watch frugalfitmom on RUclips and she came out with a video saying beans and rice is the cheapest, longest shelf life, great resource, ect. So I went and bought like 6 different types of rice and beans… and Guess what… here we are two years later with 6 bags of beans and rice. I never eat beans or rice?!? Why did I go out and buy them. Only buying what you eat is such an important step to building a pantry stock.
I just got myself some food grade 5 gallon buckets and gamma lids for my flour, sugar and rice! I am so glad to have them because they have been stored in my basement up until this point yesterday. Half the time they were in their paper sacks and would get shuffled around and set on the floor next to my shelves and people wouldn’t put them back where they belonged! We were very fortunate that that part of our basement didn’t flood when our pipes had issues this winter. That could have been a lot of food down the drain!
Thank you Becky! Im not crazy! People have called me a food hoarder. I too like to be prepared! I love your channel!
Hoarding is what happens when you are NOT prepared! Because I AM prepared I don't have to run out and buy up all the soup or bread or TP because I already have a good supply at home! It's those with the empty cupboards who are desperate and hoard the food available to them. I don't understand how we have gotten things so backwards.
Agreed. My mom rolls her eyes at me but guess who she comes to when she’s out of something? 😂
I absolutely LOVE your content! I really appreciate you always mentioning blessing others but also you are incredibly realistic about the situations that many people are in right now, myself included. Hearing you say not to be discouraged and that building this takes much time is refreshing for those starting the journey! Thank you for your brilliant content
Nothing wrong with being a prepper.. Im am a prepper. Being responsible for the lives of four kids I always made sure to have a 1 year supply of food medicines, wood for the stove. The first time I had a rabbid raccoon in my back yard trying to get to my chickens I was grateful to have taken classes in gun safety and was able to take care of the problem. Being a prepper is a good thing to me.
I have a very large family with 4 grown children, hence 13 grandchildren and a great granddaughter so far so , I'm prepping for alot of us as well as hubby and I.
My siblings do think I go overboard on groceries but, I try to be really aware of the price/oz. Sometimes it is way better to buy a larger amount if it is something you will use. If it is something that will go bad before I can use it, sometimes paying a little more for less is better. I am more able to get through the store being out of something for a period of time than they are. Now the pandemic did make me more aware of staying way ahead on toilet paper 🙃🤣 After 2020, no one is laughing about getting a roll of TP for Christmas!
You are such a sweet, kind, knowledgeable person! I absolutely enjoy watching your videos and love the content! 💙
Well done, Becky. It took me years to teach myself how to buy meat from farmers, shop in bulk, garden and preserve food, and avoid the grocery store. You distill how to get started into one video and provide resources it took me a long while to discover.
Thank you for this video! I agree with everything you said as that is why I started buying in bulk. As a kid, when I wanted to bake, it seemed we were always out of things so now I like to have everything and then some. Also so good to be prepared for job loss or even the transition to a new job. It’s saved our butts several times having extra. My husband is an avid hunter and that is one of the best things we can do for extra meat as well as it being local and humane.
I do buy some items in bulk. However I have no storage space
@@lindapier7149 I’ve seen videos of people who store packaged food in low height/long plastic containers under their beds, in plastic bins in their closets, plastic bins covered in a table cloth in their living rooms. It may seem odd, but it can be done to some extent when space issues are right. Blessings to you and yours 💞
TIP: when scooping your flour/sugar/oats etc. you will compact your ingredients by scooping with your measuring cup. If you scoop it out with a spoon or scoop and fill your measuring cup that way, you will use slightly less of that ingredient, thus stretching it just a little further. I know we all cook by feel and have our own twist on our recipes, but when times are tough this is a good trick to stretch that flour or whatnot until more is obtainable.
I heard this on a different podcast and use it every time I'm at the store:
Two is one, and one is none.
If I'm need 1, I buy 2. If I'll use 2, I get 4. Builds the pantry in a super quick and affordable way.
I have been getting 2 gallon and 3.5 gallon buckets from Publix bakery for 10 years for free. I stopped by a few weeks back and they told me they were having to reuse the buckets and the icing, etc they used to get in the buckets comes to them in bags now. They also said they had no helium for balloons. Shortages everywhere on everything it seems. Also, there is a really good RUclips video by JO Q showing how to put the gamma lid on using a small length of 2x4 and your body weight and taking them off with a spoon. Both worked like a charm for me the other day.
I stock piled paper items but not much food, but your videos have me stocking up my freezer. I bought totes and separated my food up by category and it is so easy to know what I have and what I need. Thank you!!!
be sure to balance that with nonperishables (dried or canned) - dunno about your area but ours has lots of power outages!
@@vickiamundsen2933 Thanks!!
I loved that book.
I have it on audible.
Thank you for this I also like having a stocked pantry and an just starting to be able to get there again. We were the same here when March 2020 hit. In the last 4 years we have been through drought, fires flooded in twice and the craziness that was 2020 & 2021. I have managed to feed my family even without being able to get out for a few days. Even if it was beans and eggs on homemade bread. We had enough basics to keep us going. It’s a game changer.
I feel that Your personal reasons are valid Becky & know that You are blessed to have the means to make these purchases over time which can be shared with Your Family ; I’m only 1 single 52 yr od woman on Disability so buying bulk isnt fully feasable as one person & being low income!
Start a buying/prepping co-op with 2 or 3 friends.
It's fun to pre-assemble meals as a group too! Just remember to skip the Wine until everything is measured haha
Becky you are a gem! Thanks for being you, sharing your life, and making learning fun! ❤️
Well I have officially watched every single one of your videos in the last couple of weeks 😅 what should I do now? Probably some work😂 hello from Ireland with love 🤗
Great video! It’s funny, you made fun of preppers and then pretty much described exactly why preppers prepare. It’s not for some zombie apocalypse, but for any emergency that could happen. My mom had cancer when she was 34. We lived on food storage because she had been a prepper, or prepared for emergencies. We grew up with that being the way of life and I continue living like this with our children.
I didnt get the impression she was making fun but more so highlighting the sort of stigma that comes to mind when some people think of preppers. I totally agree though. It’s just that preparing for any unexpected circumstance! I’m starting to get into these things too so learning more all the time 😁
She said doomsday prepers and said she like to be prepared for emergencies not a zombie apocalypse
@@sophiejarvis6908 yes and its not accurate. I’m in lots of prepping groups, no one is like that.
@@klotzhomestead8492 that’s the whole point
@@vqjohnston1 I think preparing for anything it super smart. I loved the video, that comment just made laugh🤪
I love Winco for bulk pantry staples! They also usually have good deals on food grade storage containers.
WAIT A MINUTE 1!!!!!!! I didnt grow up eating alot of variety because my mother was not an exciting cook. I am 64 now and just recently discovered beans and rice (ALONG WITH MANY OTHER FOODS TRIED} I let myself explore foods- I now would not dream of going without it on purpose
I love beans and rice.
I'm loving this series! We are slowly building up our pantry stock and your videos have been a huge help
Chit Chat. my pantry's stock for groceries is sky-high. yes, on stock your pantry my husband thinks I'm crazy. I learn from my mom and grandparents. about growing a garden, canning, freezing foods, We washed clothes by hand. But God always provided us with what we needed and always be a blessing to others.
Informative as always Becky,I had a small freezer dinner ready to eat when I got home today, all because I watch your videos 💜
Hi Becky! Thank you for sharing your “Why” of bulk shopping!
You are so right. Thank goodness we have an Amish community to purchase from!!
I just purchased three of those gamma dog food containers for my flour, bread flour, and sugar! Also two smaller ones for my rice and dry pinto beans. Loved this video and such great info!
This was amazing! Thank you for spreading your message! You definitely inspire me to “homestead” but I’m taking small steps where I can because I’m in a very small apartment lol I can’t wait to have the space!!
I so enjoy watching & learning with you. I’m growing a little garden this year. We only have a little yard. Love you. When a day goes by without a video of yours it awful 😢. 💖
Love your outlook!! Trying to start making this happen in my pantry!
The list you added is incredible!! So glad i stopped to take a peak at it ! Super impressive !! Thank you for sharing❤
So excited for a new video!!! And how appropriate that I'm planting seeds while listening to you 😊 Thank you Becky for all you do 💖💖💖
I really want to learn about fermentation this year. I haven’t gone down that food preservation path yet.
So true! Super important to have extra food. Thanks for the tips!
I have the Stackable dog food containers with gamma lids for my chicken feed and bedding and I love them.
i am SO jealous of people who actually SAVE money at farmers markets! for us, seattle area, its a trendy kind of thing, and its good because you support local farmers but you will spend a LOT more at the farmers market than at a grocery store or imperfect or whatever.
I think Covid made many of us more insecure about food supplies, not just toilet paper! Today was my pantry clean up and reorganization, I’ve inventoried and will be doing my own challenge 😉
Becky, I got a few of those 60lb pet vaults last year from Amazon. Although they say they are stackable and rated for 60 lbs, when I put about 50s stacked, the lower ones started collapsing a bit. You might want to just store your lighter stuff on top level, and only go 2 high. I just wanted to mention it, so you don't warp your bins, like I did. I love your channel and Congratulations on almost getting to 250k and so quickly. You definitely deserve it.😊❤
Thank you so much for this video! I have been slowly building my pantry and I already have seen some benefits.
Everyone really meeds to prep, prep, and more prep. Thing are going to get bad and supplies are really going to get scarce. The less supplies, the higher the price. Get what you can every time you can. Great info Becky. It makes sense.
Bulk foods, costco, azure, sam’s club or even restaurant supply stores. If you like to shop, otherwise order from companies online.
Thanks Becky! We are preparing even more after watching you for a while now. Everything you’re doing makes sense to us. Thanks so much for being real and sensible. Love your channel!
What a valuable video!!! You are so informative and such a sweetheart. I love your videos and such a help to those of us who need a little guidance. Love you, Becky
We put food up for hard times and that's the food we ate until the next garden season. Love having our stock pantry out in the country we been putting food up since forever and having things we need. Love this and plus we grow our food and hunting and raising our own meats.. love that way of life its simple.. love your videos!!!
Yes I recently shared the ant & grasshopper story with friends. Experiences over the last few years & hurricanes its very important to have a good pantry.
YAY! 250K!!! You’re so good at this, Becky. Thanks for being here! 💗😊
Just stumbled upon this randomly today and am so glad I did! Will definitely be following along for the series. These two episodes have been great advice and help. I’ve always wanted to start something like this and have finally decided our garage would be the only appropriate storage place so the link to the containers is very helpful for when I’m ready. Take care and thank you again for sharing your ideas and knowledge of this!
I learn something new everytime I watch your videos. You may be a beginner in your book but you're more than that to most of us watching you. I hope you are able to read my comment so you know that what you doing have purpose and meaning. But watching you and a few other I'm learning a lot and it's not as hard when you see other make the same mistakes as you. It makes you feel sort of normal..cus what is normal anyway. Well let me cut this book short by just saying you rock girl keep up the good work and videos.
Hi Becky I love watching your videos and I think you are so organized !
I am so happy when I see you have a video out. I have to stop an watch it right then. Thank you for your helpful info.
I just want to say thank you so much for doing this video series! I've wanted to get started with canning and bulk buying but I didn't know where to start. You've really helped me find my new path for this year 🥰 I've been following you for the past year or so and I was very wasteful with my garden last year and I am so very excited to start canning and preserving the food I grow for my family. Keep up the great work 😊🤍
Becky, you are so good at this! Such a natural teacher. I'm just so impressed with how you continue to expand your brand here on RUclips while making the content interesting, relevant, and not click=baity. I wish we could hang out in person and cook, LOL!
You make so many good points. I am on a health diet and need special things. I was surprised to find that you can buy bulk containers already sealed so I do not need to reseal when I get a bag - things like almond flour.
I agree that being prepared makes sense. I started stocking up early this year as a way to minimize inflation impact. When meats are on sale, I buy and freeze in portions. I bought a grain mill and bought wheat berries. BTW, you will love milling your own grain.
250,000!! Congratulations. I haven’t even seen the video yet was just so excited to see you’ve gone over 250,000. GOOD JOB BECKY! Each subscriber is well deserved. Aloha from Hawaii 🌴
thank you i’m really enjoying you videos, enjoy how you give information explicitly but quickly not dragging out.
love your practicality and not throwing food away. the resources listed with web addresses. how many videos have you made, want to see them all. thanks for sharing your life. you are definitely a blessing to me.thank you!!!!
Great information Becky for those that want to start up! 👍🏻 always love your videos.
Thank you so much! I had questions about buying in bulk and you answered a few of them. Your knowledge is so helpful to me and I’m sure to others as well. You are a great blessing by teaching us!
Thank you so much for sharing this great information!! I love your channel and look forward to all of your videos
We have 2 freezers in the garage in addition to the one with the fridge. I have been buying/making freezer meals for 30 years. I go to a local farm and get 2nds of apples, tomatoes and peaches. Just got a freeze dryer so looking forward to including that. I also try to stay well stocked and my dtr and son and his girlfriend "shop" from me. As always, great video.
Awesome series!! Becky thank you! May God continue to bless you and Josh and your families! ❤️❤️❤️
I absolutely LOVE your channel. Thanks for all the info!
Great idea, I hadn’t thought about THAT. Thank you 😊
Misfits boxes are wonderful to order to they have good deals on food:) thank you for sharing this!
thank you for the video it has given me an insight how to get hold of bulk storage. thank you for sharing. xxx
Becky, this was an excellent presentation. While we are not brand new to this subject, it’s always worthwhile to have such a thorough review. We can always improve our food storage journey. While we cannot do gardening as we’ve done in the past, we intend to do “some” growing of just a few fresh foods.
Thx for sharing your experiences and we look forward to your upcoming videos. Susan
Since I started watching your videos ( when you started), I knew you had the good quality teacher within ♡ I'm so proud of you sweet Becky. Great topics!
Good morning, new to your channel. Great video and conversation will for sure check out some older videos. Just bought a dehydrator to add that to our preparedness. Also just bought a case of tp. We should be good for six months, one less thing I will need to worry about on a bi weekly basis for us.
Hey Becky, I noticed yesterday when I went to Walmart, they had marked down their fresh Asparagus bunch from $2.48 to $1.44 a bunch. I grabbed a few and put them up in freezer bags. I checked my surrounding area Walmart Stores and even Redding, California location and they were showing the reduced price. I have family in Redding and wanted to let them know also. Thanks always for the great info !
Also bought 6 bundles this week 👍🏼 Great price
Becky, I enjoy your channel quite a bit. Just went out on Amazon and ordered the buckets and gamma lids in preparation for an Azure order. You are truly an inspiration and I learn so much from you. My next step will be to start doing freezer meals.
I'm trying to have a stocked pantry & it's working even on my starting out. We ran out milk & I wanted to make biscuits but I had buttermilk powder they turned out beautiful
Woohoo! Perfect timing right now for what I am doing!!!
Me too! 🤣
Becky I just posted a video for my channel and it came in 6 different videos lol I am still getting use to this
Totally agree! I have been this way for a long time
Timely information. In this day and time, you never know what is going to happen! Always be prepared.
