I just order one after putting it off for 5+ yrs.. Watching your video gave me that extra boost I needed. Should have done it yrs ago. ;-) Several yrs ago I mistakenly bought the Manfrotto flex "goose neck" arm which has limited uses compared to the MagicArm. To add to your "uses" list, I use it as a stabilizer when attaching a long slider to my tripod. One end attaches to a tripod leg and the other end connects to the end of the slider to avoid slider movement when moving the camera away from the tripod's center of gravity. It's literally like having a solid 2nd arm assistant. You really packed soooo many creative use ideas into that short video! Great.
I really enjoyed your video, and learned something; that you can place a quick release system onto the spigot of the magic arm. Thanks for a really clear explanation of the many uses of the Magic Arm.
What a brilliant review. It showed me EXACTLY what I needed to know about this superb tool. I am alrerady hooked on Manfrotto quality so it did not take much to convince me. Excellent video!
Thank you for the great video. In this video I think there's two sections where you mount video lights on to the magic arm. They're not. The ones that you have LinkedIn the show notes. But i'm wondering what lights those are? I think you have barn doors for them also.
Question. I have the articulating arm, super clamp, and 244 rc, to accept a rc2 quick release, just like you have in the video, where you mount the camera. Exact setup. Question, I took out the quick release system that holds the camera but I cannot put another super clamp on that end. The super clamp won't fit where the 244rc is in place... Can you confirm that? So I will be needing another articulating arm, that can hold both super clamp on both sides?
loving your work man. Such a small community yet you've managed to get 30k subs!!! nice work... I'm in the middle of moving house but when i'm back up and running I should have enough room to set my studio back up and get making Stop-Motion content. I know a lot of fans that have seen Dan of the Dead would appreciate my channel. Lets hope I can hit the heights you're at and maybe in the future we can do a Stop-Motion Vlog together? Keep up the great work
You're right there my friend. I built a great following when I made Dan of the Dead, but lost many because I took so long putting it on RUclips. This was no fault but my own and I've had to learn from my mistakes. Now I will put every bit of content out there straight away! In fact, i'd love you to take a look at my first film. Let me know what you think ruclips.net/video/k6i-BY5Xf4M/видео.html :)
I can't begin to imagine all the time and money you must have spent to come up with your working set of gear. It's hard to realize until much after getting started.
Great review of this product! How did you attach the Manfrotto quick release plate onto the arm? Is there a screw I need to buy in addition? Also do you know of a way where I can extend the height of the arm from the clamp? I’d like to use the arm for overhead photography
Hi Edu, how did you fix the arm to the table? Is that black plate part of the arm or is it extra? If extra could you give us a link to buy it? Thanks !
Great videos, thanks for sharing your knowledge! One question - what's the name of that table clamp you're using? Looks bigger than the Manfrotto super clamp? Cheers!
Because of this "magic" arm I have never felt the need to purchase a tripod!! I love it! Also, how can you remove the quick release system and replace it with another clamp? It feels that the screw is VERY tight... Great video!
Hi ! I learn a lot of things with your videos, thanks ! I have questions: If now you had to change your Canon, would you take the 80D again? or a higher range? if yes which? Will you soon have armatures in stock on your site? Thanks :)
Thanks, I am happy with the 80d, if I could pay more, a 6d is a good choice, does the same and it is full frame what makes a huge difference in picture quality, also focal lenght are real and depht of field, etc. You can mail me for the armatures I take preorders but hope to have in 15 days.
Hi.. I love this!.. Can you suggest a decent & affordable attachment that I can use to hold my smartphone.. Its a Huawei mate 20 pro. Would I need to buy any extra screws to do this?.. Thanks for your feedback 👍
Nice! I hope they are referral links because I want to buy a couple of those. Do you have any recommendations on lighting for stopmotion? Most versatile/ Good for a low budget/ Low flicker
Did you purchase the magic arm and the quick release plate separately and put them together, or buy the 244RC combination? I was wondering if the combination can still be taken apart and used without the quick release clamp with other accessories.
When I bought it years ago they came together and did not work for the clamp on the side of the quick release. But there is an option the 244 with the camera plate, not quick release, that works for both camera and rigging
Hey mate, if I wanted to buy one of your arms to hold my GoPro, devices or just other things in general, do I need a special attatchment or? I’m a little confused, do I just buy the product itself and then a clamp and hope it works with a GoPro? Cheers
Another great video. The 224 magic arm is one of Manfrotto's best products, along with the auto pole. Together they are awesome! I have two questions though: why are there no magic arms over 11", even from the clone makers? And do the cheap magic arm clones work as well? A longer arm would be fantastic for holding small lights - the desktop sized C stand.
Hey people! Can somebody suggest me a similar, strong built thing to hold an iPad Pro 12.9? I really don’t know which brand to search and the average ones on Amazon seems really poor built... Thanks Guys
Great video! Thanks! Does the quick release plate come with the screw that attaches it to the Magic Arm? I'm looking into both, but wonder if I need to buy the screw separately, and if so, what are they called? Thanks! ruclips.net/video/HRi3tUb_0_w/видео.html

This is my favourite tool, by far, on set. Hope you love it too.
Does tightening the knob in the middle of the arms also lock the ball and socket joints?
I agree
David Smith yes it does
Hola Edu quien ganó el give away ?
David Smith yes
U deserve way more subsribers! Its just Insane how much work u put in Ur Videos!
Thanks, I put a lot of time into it
That's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for this video! The best argument was, that the International Space Station is full of them :D
Jaja, it is a good argument
I just ordered one through your Amazon link. Looking forward to not having a tripod to worry about tripping over! :D Thank you!
It's a great piece of kit, don't forget to get a clamp
I really enjoyed your video, and learned something; that you can place a quick release system onto the spigot of the magic arm. Thanks for a really clear explanation of the many uses of the Magic Arm.
Thanks, just say that the magic arm with quick release has a different spigot on one side for the plate. It is smaller and with special shape
when your a teacher on a budget like me.......it breaks my wallet! Best one I have seen so far
SOLD!!!! awesome overview thank you
Brilliant review. Planning to get this to replace my tripod
What a brilliant review. It showed me EXACTLY what I needed to know about this superb tool. I am alrerady hooked on Manfrotto quality so it did not take much to convince me. Excellent video!
This is very good, I just recied one! great kit !
Really good video. Thanks for sharing.
I have this and it's amazing! For anyone looking to save a few bucks, Impact Pivot Arm is identical. I've got both of these.
Moltes gràcies!

Wow! That is a magic arm!

Our studio is 12 years now. Little by little
Great video! We will buy it soon, thanks a lot!)
Can this be mounted on a tripod? If so, what mount do you need?

? GRacias y saludos desde Argentina

That thing looks amazing!
Thanks for the video! Does this have a taller mount pole?
how did you remove the quick release plate from one end? It seems like its glued and can't take it off.
There are 2 models of Arms, in one the plate is fixed, that would be yours. On the other one you can connect all you want in regular spigots
thank you!
gracias! un saludo jefe
I know this just right now, why I am not buying long time ago
Love ur videos

Its Great!!compliments for Your job
Hi Edu, how did you fix the arm to the table? Is that black plate part of the arm or is it extra? If extra could you give us a link to buy it? Thanks !
It is in the description, called superclamp
Great videos, thanks for sharing your knowledge! One question - what's the name of that table clamp you're using? Looks bigger than the Manfrotto super clamp? Cheers!
Its the Manfrotto super clamp
Thanks! I just noticed that the super clamp comes with a removable wedge.. That must be why it looked different to me. Keep up the good work!
wow you can do alot with it, now i want one daaaamn 👍👍👍👍👍💕💕💕👌👌👌👌😁
Because of this "magic" arm I have never felt the need to purchase a tripod!! I love it! Also, how can you remove the quick release system and replace it with another clamp? It feels that the screw is VERY tight... Great video!
Yes it is a good solution. You can't replace the quick release with a clamp. That side is different

Okay.. Thanks for getting back to me.
Hi!! Do you have any tutorials on how you edit out the rigs and supports in your stop motion videos?
Nice! I'm going to get me one of these!
can you make a video about how to build a studio
Such a difficult goal, a studio requires time to make
Nice! I hope they are referral links because I want to buy a couple of those.
Do you have any recommendations on lighting for stopmotion?
Most versatile/ Good for a low budget/ Low flicker
Thanks!! They work great. For lighting I use good led panels most of time. Apperture has also a super nice dimmeable lights
I must do a video about it soon
I was wondering what would you recommend to do an overhead rigging using these arms.
As in setup.
Ohh i need one of them thats awesome .
Yay, new vid! Good work! It's a bit out of my prize, brcause I'm saving up for a k2. :^D

Manfrotto is cool but very expensive :-(
nice review can I use this as a microphone stand and what stud would I need if its possible to connect a mic clip?
The end of the regular magic arm has a 1/4 standard camera thread, most mics have this as well
When are the live streams going to start??? I'm so excited to see them.
32k!!! wow! a week ago you where 29! is it me, or are you growing faster and faster?
Yes it is insane😃
Cool
Whats the maximum support ? 3 kg?
It can hold a camera and big lens perfectly
@@edupuertasfruns i cant hold lights biggers than the video? Like 5kg?
Whats the name or model of the quick release for cameras that u have in video
5 kg seems too risky if it is not in a good position, anyway the quick release model is 244RC
