- Recently returned from an extensive desert tour with the Ecoflow Delta 2. This video dives deep into its performance in real Australian conditions: 40°C heat, rugged terrains, and remote locations. I've assessed its efficiency, durability, and practicality for both camping and 4wd use.

Are using a portable battery bank as your main aux battery? Keen to hear how you go. Leave me a comment in the comment section.
Thank you for the shout out! Great review and glad to hear another opinion from the 4X4 off-road community.
Any time!
Nice review as always stefan 👌
If i didnt already have a great setup in my 4wd and a use for a portable system it sounds like a fantastic solution 👍
Thanks! 👍
I have a delta and a delta 2. I concur with your findings. I have recently added a Bluetti AC60 to the fleet as it is IP rated for dust and water. I run a gladiator so having the dust/water rating and living in a truck bed basically negates the need for a formal house battery system. The biggest issue I have had was figuring out where the setting in the Bluetooth app was that let’s the box charge off “unclean” power as the JT is not pure sine wave
good point with IP rating, mine lives in the car unless I work or cook outside so no issue for me but it definitely would be a benefit to have IP56 or 65.
Very nice especially this new version now with Lifepo4 technology.
yep I loved the Delta Max but the Delta 2 is a better size for my purposes and now with LifePo4 it's just brilliant.
Nice piece, tahnks.
Thank you too!
I like your test reviews. Could you possibly do a test on different portable solar blankets?
using actually a few and was meant to do a test at some stage
Hi Stephan, great review and I am now considering the Ecoflow as a option over Bluetti. Just wondering what brand/model induction cooker you have and would you recommend it? Cheers Rob
Cheap one from Amazon I initially only bought it for testing purposes but it works well especially for the price www.amazon.com.au/shop/alloffroad4x4adventurestv/list/1H8TI4ZRUHQUF?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_mixed_d
I have been using a Bluetti 200AC. It’s a much bigger capacity, but comes at cost of much heavier unit. What I am interested in with the Delta 2 is how much drainage does the AC inverter use when in standby mode. With the Bluetti, I suspect that the standby mode does suck the capacity quite a bit. Just wondering if you have found similar with your unit. Thanks
good question, let me test that

You should compare this to the new anker c1000 solix. I actually purchased 2 of the delta 2 and returned both of them. The product worked just fine but the ac plugs being located at the back was far more annoying than I expected and the customer support was less than to be desired.
yea I mentioned that when reviewing Delta Max I can see how that can be an issue depending on application. The way I use it it's no issue for me though.
Hey, have you bought a C1000? I’ve just bought a Delta 2 and I like it, but the fans come on when Im only using 100w which is annoying, and it seems like its dropping 5% overnight too - which is useless if I need it in an emergency. The C1000 looks good - but the Delta 2 is very nearly ideal. Not sure if I should return it and try the Anker or hope for a firmware update on the Ecoflow
I'd take out the slow car charging out of your con's list. Because they are staying within the parameters of people's car's cigarette plug. Anything higher would blow your car's fuze. Just saying. They are doing you a favor of keeping you safe.
not really if you want it as an alternative to a fixed install in needs faster charging for example via a DCDC charger
It's a crying shame that Ecoflow cares so little for their Australian customers that they offered ZERO discount on the Delta 2 or the battery expansion unit for the Black Friday sales here. I was going to buy both, but after they insulted us with their lack of discounts on their products (they offered huge discounts to US customers on those same products), and when I brought it up on the Australian users Facebook page, the admins banned me. So I bought a VDL portable power station, instead for less than half the price.
Actually for Europe costumers we got a small discount.
US got the big discount on this product.
Mate what are you sooking about? You didn’t like the price so you bought something else. Good for you, that’s how capitalism works. Stop being a cry baby.
@@MrFastFarmerI think the way Ecoflow treats Australian customers is disgusting. If you want to call me a "sook" for decrying the mistreatment of customers, then feel free. You are the one being a cry baby. Why are you crying about me informing people of the way Ecoflow treats customers?
@@RealFarknMcCoy how did they treat you badly? Not give you a discount? The reality is they don’t need too, lots of people in Australia are buying the delta 2, just not you!
@@MrFastFarmerWhy the fuck do you care so much? They treat Australians badly because they price-gouge us. They are charging Australians MORE for JUST the Delta 2 than they are charging US customers for a Delta 2 + an extra battery + a solar panel. Does that seem like equal treatment to you? Why should Australians be gouged?? And why would you defend that bullshit?
Cons... imput limits and size for ah. It's OK for people for once a year trips with lots of driving but otherwise do it right.
it's ok when you go on the occasional weekend trip which many do but yes could not replace my build in system
