Looks promising. I'm 52 years old and I believe I can still achieve the MuscleUp. I'll try it out as it get's a bit warmer here in Germany. Thank you very much.
your welcome! Your youtube videos about muscle up check list has been very important for me to achieve it, I've detected several mistakes thanks to them and believe me I've watched many tutorials about it and your videos are one of my top 5! @@MikeZouth
Thanks. That "relaxation in movements" shows up more often the more I age. The least amount of tension necessary to do the task... seems like the goal of movement mastery of any kind. 🎉
Best tutorial ever, some people just make state you must have grip with palm not use finger and also say you will not be able if you use your finger. But for me, I prefer use my finger also like Mike. And when we go up, we need use muscle between the elbow, not full on back. This's was right thinking about muscle up. Thanks a lot Mike 🙏
Very good explanation, been doing Mu now for 2 years (with pauzes beetwen) and still cant do it without band...thanks for video i will do my best again.
Relaxing legs and core body makes my legs an swing a lot. Swinging legs are what usually throw me down from the bar. By the way, I have spastic diplegia CP so this is way harder than normal people. My latest progression is purple band and red band together.
I've done multiple muscle ups but i just can NOT get them consistently. sometimes i go to the gym without doing any at all. This video has so much information and i'm definitely going to use this, thanks a lot for this!!
Great video!! Do you think the little orange band is too small to be worth while? The jump from red to bodyweight seems a bit extreme to me. Thank you!!
Thank you for the encouragement. I am working on ring muscle ups and have had difficulty shifting to bodyweight only. Nailed 2 yesterday, for a total of 3 now lifetime...lol. Yesterday I was able to link three orange band assisted muscle ups twice. For me, it seems to be a good part of the progression. Perhaps I will feel differently when I tackle bar muscle ups...?
I have 3 bands available, i figured out i can use number 1 (red) and 3 (green) combined, i can do 5x5 with this. However, the next step would bij 1+2 (red and black), which is a bit more support then green alone and i cant seem to get 1 rep. Do you have any advice?
I am just curious, most of the time when my clients can do 5x5 muscle-ups with a band (or combination) They can progress to a thinner one. IS your red band this size?: www.gymgrossisten.com/dw/image/v2/BDJH_PRD/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-hsng-master-catalog/default/dwbe0ce67f/media/GG-Produktbilder/Star-Nutrition-Gear/setstarfitness_star-gear-fitness-band_star-nutrition-gear_0220.jpg?sw=655&sh=655&sm=fit&sfrm=png
I i got good at muscle ups when I was training regularly but since I got a job then Ive only been training all out mainly in the weekend and realised that I havent got the explosiveness to do pull ups especially when Ive done a few reps of pull ups. Do you have any suggestions.
This is impressive and a good job in explaining. Technically, this is not a true muscle up, though. It's nit-picking, I know, but in a clean muscle up, aka, using only your muscles to go up, you could stop at any time in the movement. Your technique requires momentum, so it's a mostly-muscle up. Much cleaner than many others I've seen. Again, not wanting to diminish your impressive feat of strength and technique. I am just nitpicking. This video is 💯
Thank you! Have you been doing muscle-ups for long?
Thanks for the video ❤
Glad you liked it 😊👊🏼
Very patiently explained in detail.. would you have advice on building strength progressively without bands and working towards a 1st muscle up
Without bands I would recommend working on your weighted pull-ups, clapping pull-ups, negative muscle-ups. Hope that helps!
Great video!! Do you think the little orange band is too small to be worth while? The jump from red to bodyweight seems a bit extreme to me. Thank you!!
Of you can do 5 reps for 5 sets with the red band you have 1-2 bodyweight muscle-ups for sure. But why not use the orange as well, not a bad idea 😊👊🏼

They are two different beasts. Glad you are making good progress. Keep in it up 💪🏼☺️

I would say follow the instructions in the video + do weighted pull-ups.
Bro if you can do pull-ups under your stomach u finna do a muscle-up
True 😊👊🏼
