Suggestion Grandpa:….You may want to put mulch around the plant containers so 1) you don’t have to mow/weed around them and 2) when the 🍉 🍈 grow over the edges of the containers, because they will, you won’t have to disturb the vines to mow or weed etc. 😃

Grandpa, I enjoyed this video so much, the sunrise, the interaction with the animals, and I am very happy to hear you are keeping Lola....I was hoping she had piggies by now...I will still keep my fingers crossed she still does....if her teats are not getting bigger and her backend not swelling up she probably is not pregnant...also the last week before having babies she should start nesting....I hope there is still baby piggies in the future...God willing...learned that bit of info from watching another homestead youtube channel....many blessings to you and yours...Love Lois

Glad to hear about the copperhead! 2 years ago I was bitten on left are by an adult copperhead lots of venum. .I have a bad heart .was told my bloodthinners helped me.i did have a heart attack a week later. I have a tattoo of Michael the archangel on my left forearm and the snake bite was through his shield. .I say Michael protected me..it was my fault I laid my arm on the snake I didn't see him.

Story: When my Mom was 6 years old she was bit by a Copperhead. She still has the scar on her leg were they cut some skin away. She's now 95 thank the Lord. By the time I was old enough to understand my Mom and Dad told me before you step out the front door you look make sure no copperheads. We also had skunks we had to watch out for. Anyway, Beautiful sunrise that is always appreciated. Love the personalities of all those critters. Happy for Miss Red. I wondered why you didn't show her. You and the Mrs are a hoot. My greatgrandma was putting her laundry out on the line about 50 years ago and she was bitten by a Copperhead too. Back then ambulances were few and far between and they lived way out in the country so my greatgrandpa had to rush her to the hospital. She lived to be 95 years old. I miss going out to her house. Great memories made out there.

Ralph, I think it's so awesome to see your sons and grand kids all working on your property for you. I used to watch my grown sons working with their Dad and the memories of their childhood would flash through my mind, comparing then and now is amazing ! Quite the reality check as to where all the years have gone. Our youngest is going to be 46 in June and our oldest son was 47 this past October. They were born 20 months apart. I have really been enjoying your videos , Kyle's videos and Chads, also Rae and Shannon. We are blessed ! Aren't we !

Great sunrise Grandpa Ralph! Who wants to pitch in and buy a vet visit for Miss Lola?? I'm the type of person who likes to call in the professionals. Roofers, washer repairmen, plumbers. There is something wrong with Lola. She sleeps a lot, sits a lot and just doesn't seem right. And we don't know if she's having babies. She could not be in the best of shape to birth them.

The view of the sunrise was a great way to start off the video. It is a shame that Lola may not be having babies. Love watching the interaction with Kyle. Garden looks great. Watching you gardening got me in the planting mood. I got some containers from the dollar store and I planted some baby carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, snap peas and peppers. I will eventually have them all out on my balcony once they are big enough to be outside. Hi grandpa, I just want to make a suggestion for your chickens. I've been raising t them for 26 years. I have found that is the spring when their laying ramps up they tend to crave more calcium. There are three effective was to fill that need. You can give them oyster shell, save your egg shells when you eat eggs and give them to them or feed them a few eggs back. Good luck with this issue and I hope this is useful.

So excited for y’all getting your new farm carved out! On the watermelon and cantaloupe: I grew 3 hills of each there are 3 plants to a hill. We were a family of 11. We had 3 watermelon and 3 cantaloupe ripen each day! Finally the kids started complaining about did they have to eat watermelon and cantaloupe? Got where the neighbors wouldn’t take any. People would see us coming and lock their doors and hide because they didn’t want any more! Just to let you know. 🤣🥲🤣

The cow's, goat's & Lola will love the watermelon. If you grew some pumpkins, they are a natural deformed & good winter food for the critters.
Garden plots look great, Kyle's work is looking great. So glad you disposed of the copperhead. Keep Grandma & Adler safe. And the critters.

I have found out I have diabetes, and had it for about three years, and my Doctor didn’t tell me! My daughter is a nurse and had her doctors she works for do blood work ( because I became very dizzy while getting a check up) and found out I have diabetes!!! Well anyways it’s under control, and feeling better!!! I just love your post and both your son’s, too!!! God’s Blessings to you all, always!! My mama grew up on a farm and one of her jobs was to help clean out the corn crib in the spring. She didn’t have as many mice and rats to deal with if they had a black snake in the corn crib. So when we were growing up we knew not to kill any non poisonous snakes. But the cotton mouths, copperheads, or water moccasins were fair game. My paternal granny on the other hand hated any snake. She made mincemeat of any snake she saw.
