EA doesn’t understand their player base with the F1 game. They want to do what they do for most games, which is put online first. But the F1 player base is significantly more offline focused than any other series they make.
That and the fact that most racing game/sim players literally do not give a flying f*ck about a bunch of dumb challenges when it comes to online. I prefer racing against real people, and when it comes to that in a game I want two things:
To be able to jump in a quick race or two be able to join a league and race against the same people over the course of a season. I haven’t even really checked out f1 world because it just seems so.. extra.
thats mainly because online lobbies mostly is full of a bunch of dumbass idiots who cant race normally and just crashes you every single time.

And the problem with that is that online should be perfect if they mostly focus on it, but it’s full of issues. Crossplay for example is impossible to use due to the connection issues, the screen freezes and all of that (even if you have a good internet connection)
Another game series EA will ruin for good.
When comparing to FIFA, F1 World really gives me Volta vibes

To be honest, Breaking Point reminds me of The Journey, but stranger after 1 year in Formula 1.

That's a good ideia but I don't think it would work as we don't have the same variety of car categories as in GT sport, and then it would end up being too repetitive
I like that idea too. They could do a "Daily Race A" that's F2 cars, Daily B could be the F1 World cars only, and Daily C could be the official F1 teams on the track for that week's GP, or a random track/old track not on the calendar for weeks when there aren't a GP during the season, and just random tracks in the off season/mid-season break. Not as much variety per-se as GT7, but it could have potential.
This should be in the game already as dirt rally 2.0 has daily races and is also made by codemasters

The single player progression in f1 world is determined by you completing the series. So you have to do Australia mastery and the other series in order to UNLOCK even more series so the real grind begins
The only reason I go into F1 world is to grab car setups from time trial or mess around with livery colors. I wish they could have added some of the features to career/my team, they could do both. Also, whoever is in charge of designing the liveries should be replaced, almost all look like they belong more in Fortnite and the majority are asymmetric designs for some reason.
They rarely work with the sponsor designs either which on its own needs a total revamp and lots added to it.
@@jdevlin1910 omg yes. There should be many more slots, should be able to place wherever you want and have sliders for hight/length and should have the same system but be separate for the helmet.
F1 players want to drive the current season's F1 cars. There's absolutely nothing Codemasters can do that can get people to play anything additional for them to pay for.
The 'Series' part of F1 World only updates once you play the base events. Then you unlock more at higher tech level.
F1 world was actually cooler than i thought it would be, but theres just not enough to do in it….
What really makes it frustrating is that some of f1 worlds options should be in myteam like different upgrade parts having different effects on your car
Fully agree about the scenarios. They should also have historical scenarios with historical cars.
Mansell vs Senna at Monaco would be awesome to recreate, for example.
I played it a bit in the beginning, but there is nothing to keep me there. What do i gain from grinding tech level? Nothing. It's all pointless.
I really want to see the layout of the oem car change, front wings, side pods, halos, i love the halo wings and rn you don’t have any, yet there are upgrades that improve them

It's not bad, but it's so easy at the start, it's hard to see it through until it gets more difficult.

When starts to be difficult? Because I am 20 hours in, and I still win with +40 sec. It's so boring that the only excitement in the races are that when will I catch up with the backmarkers?
If tech lvl actually mattered when using a f1 world car online then it would be played more imo
I play it and enjoy it, it's a better way for me to practice then just hot lap which I find boring. It also levels up my podium pass faster.
Same over here. Specially with those domination events around Melbourne, Austria, those are helping me start to let go of the racing lines and begin to turn that assist off

I don’t play MyTeam but in F1 World we should have the things like upgrades and team principles to your team
being able to pick an engine supplier, rnd system, and make the challenges not 200 tech level lower than you so its competitive. theres so much they could do

I also think your audience might be biased considering you are a Careermode youtuber and barely do anything else. Then again i dont think a more general audience would be that much different. My last game was F12020 and despite me being curious about like the new tracks and the storymode, i dont see a whole lot that has changed and that ive missed out
I didn't even know you got liveries for completing the scenarios. I just assumed all that stuff was locked behind a pay-wall so I didn't bother ever looking for the possibility of rewards.

There was along time I thought I couldn’t go without my yearly copy of FIFA (like 10 years ago) and EA changed my mind because i loved career and Pro. As soon as they bought Codemasters I knew it would going downhill and now I just wait till it is on Gamepass before I even try.

I would like to see konnersport in my team and have us as the 12th team it would be great. But i do play f1 world just to grind my car up in levels

I’m enjoying it, it’s good to have focused gameplay in short bursts. I like the fact there are no racing lines challenges which will wean people off that assist. Also more things do open up as you go.
You have to complete the thing in the series page to have them go away and you unlock new ones as you complete them. It's still a pointless grind. Just driving as much as I can cause I'm new to no assist
I play the ranked multiplayer and play the events that reward customisation rewards otherwise not much else
They messed up by not doing anything for my team f1 player base is mostly offline I’m already on season 3
I still have F1 Championship Edition and F1 2019, i dont need a new game for the next years, unless a different studio makes it.
if you unlocked the series more, it unlocks the solo and multiple player events
I’ve only used this F1 world thing to do those events to get that Mclaren livery etc. Apart from that I haven’t touched it to actually race as I would just do it through the unranked lobby list not with these tech level races
On PlayStation there a trophy for completing 10 goals, a core part of F1 World. It's considered ultra rare with only 2.2% of players having it which says a lot.
Yeah the focus on F1 world has made me sad and it will be the reason why i will probably not buy the game cuz 99% of my play time is sp career and the rest is mp career(and that's only on F1 2021 cuz nobody i know bought F1 22 so i could only play sp) and I am actually kinda weird since I have no problem with the handling and actually find myself much faster than on F1 2021 where i have more than double the play time

I tried F1 World in the opening week of the game, but after that I went my usual F1 game modes of Career or MyTeam. Ngl, I was hoping that MyTeam would be tied into F1 World. How? Idk.
Given the size of the brand, EA really aren't a great gaming company.
They will release novelty modes that nobody asked for whilst allowing several bugs to persist, or new ones to occur.
Only thing I do is the ones to get the new liveries but I aint doing anything else in F1 world
with this game they introduced the concept as a side-project, with next years game using your own parts will be mandatory for ranked races

It depends, if you're still playing F1 22 then you most definitely are not living the dream 😂 F1 23 for it's faults, they've managed to at least make the traction driveable on this version

I bought F123 3-4 weeks ago. Played for maybe 3 hours. Started My Team and realized I was really out of practice. Spent most of my time in Time Trial. Hoping to play more soon as I was somewhat enjoying myself. Would like to explore more and do more of tye F1 World stuff.
But agreed, the car is at least drivable. F122 was pretty bad.

About the series not refreshing, they're not meant to. By completing them, you unlock new ones with a higher tech level.
The only time I touch it is when the liveries come out or time trial.

This was the first year that I've not purchased the game. This was based on your feedback of the lack of development. I'll wait 9 months until it's on EA play.
They should update the good parts of the game
Like fifa they ignore the single player aspect of the game, with f1 game single player is more popular i would say than multiplayer, and putting more time into my team would be more beneficial. But it is just looking like theyre gonna nelgect my team as all they done this year was change the UI colour to match the game and probably change the name of some upgrades.

what i hate the most about it, the supercars i love the drifting challange but i just can't find it and have to hope for it to appear, if that even happens.

I honestly believe F1 world is like a trial or a feeler towards how they want to set up the next my team, and i put the fact it wasn’t done in this game to the usual hierarchical stuff.

Adding a bunch of micro-transactions is the only thing that would cause a major uproar for F1 game fans. I hope EA learned their lesson from that star wars game.

All i wanted was to find time trial and Grand Prix. Nothing else matters. Braking point is awesome. I almost wish this was a 3 season series of braking point. It would be better than it is now.
I play ranked multiplayer, which uses equal cars and not your upgrades. Does that count as playing F1 World? ;-)

It’s got all the same game modes as older games just handling is a lot better and the game looks nicer.
this massively depends on you, if you want to actually drive yourself or not, we can't answer that for you. They are both solid titles at their core.
None of them are worth it, just get motosport manager and old f1 fames like f1 20,2012,2013 etc.
They should take some of the game modes from Real Racing 3 (the mobile game) feel like those modes could be good scenarios and what not
This is basically EA thinking they can make another FIFA using F1, yet they fail to realise that simply buying a franchise and changing the concept doesn't work, ESPECIALLY if the fanbase doesn't give a shit about it

Series unlock the more series you play. They are still wayyyyyyy to easy when you unlock more though. That's my main problem. It's too easy
I hate NBA 2K for it's more of a science project then basketball for me. But at least they try to listen to the community. And they have a city with a 100 players roaming but F1 can do a open world Paddack ridiculous same for Madden.

We know how this will end. They're going to monetize with the modes the people are playing with. Indeed I was sure, before the launch, that the gacha updates were for the career modes.

More track mastery events are available, you have to unlock them by completing other events. I agree that F1 World is very lackluster
Personally I'd prefer more accurate, laser scanned tracks over F1 World

To me F1 world is just an annoying extra button I need to click to get to time trials to download setups
