Color Line AS is the largest cruiseferry line operating on routes to and from Norway. The company is also one of the leading operators in Europe. Color Line provides transportation for people and cargo, hotel accommodation, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. The company currently employs 3500 people in four countries.
Color Line's main office is in Oslo, but the company also has Norwegian offices in Kristiansand, Sandefjord and Larvik, in addition to international offices in Kiel, Hirtshals and Strömstad.
MS Color Magic is a cruiseship owned and operated by the Norway-based shipping company Color Line on its route connecting Oslo, Norway, with Kiel, Germany. She was built at Aker Finnyards Rauma Shipyard, Finland in 2007 and has been the largest ferry in the world ever since.

i came home from this today, and can not say that i shared the same enthusiasm. first, the sail is way too long, they should leave later and sail faster, leaving you more than a mere 3 hrs in kiel. also the tax free selection on the ship was disappointing. i was at a conference, and most of the daytime was spent with work, but even 3hrs free time was 2 hrs 45 mins too long. you could see everything in 15 minutes, and then what. sure, you can eat and drink at norwegian prices, but you can do that back home. if i could have a steak dinner for $15 maybe.. they know they have mostly norwegian passengers, end they have to eat and drink on the ship, they can charge what they want.
Also, plan your tax free shopping. I made a rookie mistake doing many small trips, i should instead hvae planned my shopping and gotten the color memebership to save an additional 10%. at $16 a year for a membership i would never again use, i didnt think it would make sense, until after when i tallied up all my purchases of perfume, liquor and tobacco for friends..
If you like this kind of thing, then sure its probably great, but it was not my cup of tea. Would rather fly to a german city, spend the day, and then fly back. (i had to fly to oslo in addition to the cruise)
Do you have to use cash or can you use Debit cards?
Credit card all the way 😊 Norwegian in general rearly use cash any more 😊 but of course you can use both 🙌🏻
