I feel like there are so many younger people online who try to portray themselves as experts without having done the work or have very limited life experiences. I agree wholeheartedly. I'm 55 yo with over thirty years of experience in my field, and I still don't consider myself an expert, but instead always learning and fine tuning. I've been working on shifting my perspective that three decades really does carry value and wisdom. And while I respect the inexperienced's fresh perspective, they most likely only have the highlights around the subject, not decades of actually living it. And very importantly, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the fresh perspective is just as valuable as the experienced.

the youth have answers. There's wisdom in age and also wisdom in the youth. Very important to see things from a new perspective, and to also learn what has been done before.
A unique problem I've noticed is that, even with such great content, people won't start anything. I use to be on the same boat, I'd watch self help, business, philosophical etc videos and noticed, it has become a source of entertainment for me rather than something that's actually taking me forward. Motion vs Action as James Clear would say.
What truly brings about change is action. While plans, ideas, and intentions are important, change can only be achieved through putting them into practice. Only by taking proactive measures and putting in effort can we attain our goals and change our lives.
However, action is not always easy or natural. Many people may encounter obstacles and challenges such as procrastination, lack of motivation, fear, and uncertainty. To overcome these obstacles, we can take the following actions:
1. Develop specific plans and goals to better organize time and resources and achieve objectives more effectively.
2. Establish good habits and behavior patterns to improve self-discipline and efficiency, such as exercising every morning, eating regularly, and checking emails regularly.
3. Seek motivation and inspiration by communicating with others, seeking feedback and support, and finding role models.
4. Overcome fear and uncertainty by taking small steps, seeking help and support, and trying new methods and experiences.
In summary, truly achieving change requires taking proactive action and overcoming various obstacles and challenges. By taking determined steps, developing good plans and goals, taking proactive action, and overcoming fear and uncertainty, we can achieve real change.

Yes, most people never start living, let alone start a RUclips Channel. Who really feels alive and fully present. How many people really do anything with their lives, except basic survival. If you can figure out how to start living, you might be able to start a RUclips channel.

I started my own business in 1999 and still own it to this day. I can't "coach" anyone how to do it because my business is an extension of me and no one can duplicate exactly what I do. So, the "one size fits all" approach of "learn how to do something and then teach it to others" does not and CANNOT apply in my case.
This is absolutely amazing, and I have been trying for almost a year now, to articulate or make sense of any of this! I have started two businesses, and while both were successful, there came a point where there was no more room for growth in my OWN holistic and satisfying way. Essentially, I’ve been in the middle of such a bad existential crisis for over a year, and ended myself in a story similar to many spiritual stories - I had it all. Everything one could ever dream, but I was empty and I sought something else. THIS is what I’ve been trying to put words to this whole time while everyone is watching me throw my 15 year career into a state of chaos publicly 😅 You are an absolute genius! So thankful I found you!

This is the most amazing advice I stumbled across. So many friends have encouraged me to start making videos and share my life on topics they feel I have inspired in their lives. I haven't taken any action because I'm not sure where to start or what my end goal should be. I love the idea of putting myself out there imperfect, learning, evolving, and having people that resonate with what I am doing and then inspire them to do the same. When YT began showing me your content, I didn't really resonate. But the algorithm knows me better than I do. Lately you've been more and more relevant. Or I'm just now getting the message. I've run an agency since 2010 for the money. I'm burnt, frustrated and depressed. Doing something I actually love is what I need!

I think one of the main issues with regards to packaging a course that helps a person get from A to B, is that they dont have the gumption to read book upon book to learn not only the steps but also the writers experience on the matter - as you said, the holistic approach. People want the shortest option to get from A to B. Much the same as how our attention span has been reduced to such as extent that even an 8 second reel is too long for some people, or most.

Just found out about this channel. I read the comments to make my decision about watching the video or not, and I was totally convinced by the people around here. I just have to say I’m glad I clicked here…This is so refreshing. It’s so good to hear ideas that don’t make me feel anxious about the future and give me hope that the internet doesn’t have to be this “fake people land”. Social media can be useful and it can be healthy if you use it just a little bit differently from the majority of people 🤷♀️

Dude, I have no idea who you are and how I stumbled upon this video, but damn, this hits hard. I ran an online education business and the way I saw the bullshit of marketing moving towards the Clickfunnels route (scarcity, countdown timers, bullshit) just turned me off of it so much that I hated even being associated with 'those people who sell courses online'.
It's been a real struggle to wrestle with over the years in terms of what I enjoy doing and creating for 'work' because I love making things that are helpful (beyond the dopamine level hit of 'get rich courses'), and this video is giving me some new insights in how to go about that in a fresh way / reframe how I'm thinking about this, so thanks for creating the video, Dan. Self-actualization: to fulfill the desire to become everything one can be. To actualize your potential. Good lord that struck my head like a lumberjack swinging a sledgehammer against my temple. I originally wanted to start an online business to get money but you're spilling out more than I or anyone could've asked. So now I got the mindset to start an online business but mainly to serve others and give others the value I have because I believe that is my life's purpose. I'm aware about other models like dropshipping and affiliate marketing but I feel as if I learn a skill I enjoy and employ myself as an agency to serve others, I figure it wouldn't be that bad right? Regardless, I signed up for your power planner and 7 days to genius to see if I can create myself into someone that's capable of generating income and highly able to help other people online. You make good work and your knowledge doesn't look like it has a ceiling, thank you for sharing.

I don’t know if it’s because I’m a creator (and by virtue of that a marketer) but marketing tactics and psych tricks in any video/copy etc stick out like such a sore thumb to me and deter me from going for the offer. I much prefer people who just let me know they have a solution to a problem that I may or may not have and then I can choose to purchase or not. My responses to sleazy marketing tactics in the past have ALWAYS been rooted in fear & scarcity (and so I was never really in a position mentally/energetically) to receive the offering in the first place.
Yea all the mind games. Whole thing is people trying to dictate how other people perceive. Like you I don't want anyone trying to intentionally influence how I construct a perception of what I'm looking at. Show me or indicate to me what the thing really is and I'll do the rest. If they can't do that or they wanna try to trick you into seeing it in a way that benefits them, then I have no attention to give them. It's everywhere though.
