Neither Chrome nor Firefox allow full history recovery to my knowledge. Therefore we have a few other options. Option 1 is to have a diary where you write down manually the names of all websites you visit. Option 2 is to create a Word file where you put every link you visit. Option 3 is to use Firefox´s restore feature to copy any link you want to remember and put into your Word document. I can confirm that the only way for you to recover lost Firefox history is if there is an old Firefox open which has stored it and you can access it. But only if this Firefox does not stay minimized. If it stays minimized, you have to wait for several days for the new upgrade to allow you to revisit the old Firefox. Meanwhile, you have to use a new Firefox update which means you cannot revisit your old history. If you have diaries and Word Files storing the names of all websites you visit and their videos you cannot lose access to these files as long as they remain on the web and as long as you have saved them somewhere.
The video shows how you can (or more exactly how you could, because I did not test this with more recent versions). So, at least at the point in time when I made the video, it couls be done.
my dad deleted all of my history, changed all my passwords, blocked websites (youtube, netflix, roblox) and deleted all my social apps on my phone.😐 this is the least i can do

How to recover deleted browsing history on Firefox?
I work mainly on Firefox and I was accessing all my accounts automatically without going through any login requests....
2 months ago, I emptied my cache and since then I can't do it anymore for Facebook especially
I opened my Facebook account with a Yahoo email for which I forgot the password, so I no longer have access to it.
And I also forgot the Facebook account password.
If Facebook emails me to check if I'm the owner, I can't see because I no longer have access to the email
But Facebook is open right now on the phone I'm using.
I want to recover the password so I can open it on my computer again and most importantly I want to switch from Android to iPhone

Sadly, as far as I know, what you need can't be done even if you recover the history. Your websites were using files in cache to open without requiring a password. Once those files are gone and you use the computer for a while and they become overwritten, you can't get them back.

even if u deleted browsing history, u definatley can recover it... unless u delete app data from user account. there is a simple way to recover it.

Why is the history so unreadable?
To prevent people with too much free time from entering those links by hand to see what the owner of the computer in the video browsed last :))
Systools only allows me to open MDF files, not sqlite...
I hope they did not change it over the years.
Does this work for cookies? I deleted all my cookies but now I'm logged out from Yahoo and I don't remember my password. I need my cookies back.
Id you also deleted the cookies folder, they are probably gone. If you only deleted the cookie files, try to use a recovery software like Recuva in the cookies folder and restore them.

hi,may I ask why I couldn't find 2021 history of chrome in the history file after I follow all the step? It only shown history of 2014,but I already check for the "Folder options",it selected "show hidden files,folder,and drivers".

@@UltimateDIY ,it's okay,I knew the possibility to get back the history is not high,I just keep trying to get back in different methods recently.A few days ago, I found a website said that can search the cookies,then I will know which websites have been visited. Although that just cookies,but it can let me know that which website I visited before. I'm still keep trying to find other methods to get back the history that have complete history details. Probably your login session info is stored in cookies. Just log in again, nothing is affected.
I cleaned out my cache on fire fox and lost my email for Frontier they wont help me reset my settings been on 3 hours jacked around pass the buck and f off got no where there yahoo. Is Cache the same as Browsing history? I cleaned out my Cache on Fox and it just whipped out everything . Heads up if you have Frontier and your settings go out on your email or they update there system and they kick your ass to the curb and you can no longer use your email well you can kiss their ass they will not help you! They had a terminal down in Texas years ago and they actually hired AMERICANS ! at the call center you called had a problem all you had to do is log them in and they went in and reset everything or talked to you over the phone. Their customer service was kick ass! They proudly advertised American based tech center. If you needed to set up a new email account they were there for you. Then good old GREED SET IN THEY SHUT DOWN THE CENTER AND KICKED EVERY ONES ASS TO THE CURB AND SHIFTED ALL THE JOBS OVER TO INDIA ! I was on there over four hours and all I got was passed to somebody else that didnt know their ass from a hole in the ground . THEY DONT HAVE THE TRAINING AND THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU ! I pay over $100 a month to Frontier and you can pretty much kiss their ass because nobody will help you. I remembered years ago this happened before and I got on Office max tech service to get my email straighten out you cannot talk to tech you let them in and there is a box to type well the ass hole went in and dumped and deleted a bunch of my files . Man I was livid anyway I called got a hold of a supervisor and he walked me through how to reset my computer to older setting and I was able to recover all my files and data . I found a youtube on recovering data , Basically its set your PC back to earlier settings well that is what I did and thank God my email is up and running. I honestly didnt think it would work . So if you wipe out your files or setting on your email go into your PC and restore the previous settings I cant believe it worked

Thanks Bro. I could recover my chrome browsing history, but while following the steps for Mozilla Firefox, couldn't locate the file "place.sqlite" in the folder mentioned by you. Plz guide is there any other way to locate of find this file.
Sorry, but I never did this since making the video, so I don't know if they changed the location or the file name.
Rahul if you want to store browsing history, you have to write it down. You cannot rely on the ability of search engines to keep it for you. They are not as advanced as diaries are. Diaries are simply better mediums for saving your browsing history. Word Files which you create and then print and store to save browsing history are also ideal. But forget for now on and forth with trying to rely on any search engine to save your browsing history for you.

Use the little software called Recuva and scan the downloads folder. It will find the deleted files and if you are lucky it can also recover them.
@@UltimateDIY I try that and when I got them back most of them were damaged and corrupted some of them got mixed up
Sadly that is all that can be done. Deleted files get overwritten and corrupted really easy.

No, if clear browsing history was used, the data is deleted for good.

If you can't see it, probably it can't be restored.

Then,I give up to do the recovery of the history,because I keep trying to recovery the history but unsuccessfully. These few months the memory of I have been bullied on the last year keep flooding back,so I decided to try again to recovery the history of last year in order to protect myself in the future. I keep checked the comments under this video in these few days,today only discover your replied.

I use Chrome way more than I use Mozilla, so I'm not that familiar with it. For Chrome it would be CTRL+SHIFT+T, but that does not really help you...
