Dina leaves Ellie at the end of the game. This is a totally sensible choice. Dina is 19-20, and raising a child. Ellie is CLEARLY not well and Dina has done her best to support her. But now Ellie is throwing her family away to go on an (understandable) suicide mission. Dina gives Ellie an ultimatum and she makes her choice, and chooses to go to Santa Barbara. What's Dina supposed to do? Stay at this farm and take care of this baby alone for MONTHS, worrying about whether Ellie will come back or not!? No. She returns to Jackson, their relationship having seemingly ended. I imagine that is also what upset you.
Dina made the right choice. A relationship is a two-way street. What's she supposed to do? Keep sticking by Ellie REGARDLESS of whatever she keeps doing?? Stick by Ellie regardless of her choosing to abandon her family to go on a quest that might kill her?? Ofc not.
This is coming from someone who LOVES Ellie's character, btw.

Do people not like Dina? Didn’t feel a particular connection to her, but I didn’t dislike her. Surprised by that comment. Would be interested to know any reasons for people disliking her.
There is a small contingent of folks who dislike Dina for... some reason. She is perfectly pleasant and a ride or die. I get not having a particularly strong connection to the character (not every character will truly gel with every person), but hating or disliking her is... weird lol.
Edit: Ah, okay. After listening to his comments ("THE STREETS!" ), I think I get what his issue might be. I think that iBerleezy might've had a similar issue.

Dina is bisexual and had recently left Jesse at the start of the game. She gets together with Ellie, someone who had clearly liked for YEARS and they both know each other, after leaving Jesse. When Jesse joins the girls in Seattle, I think some people began to wonder/worry if Dina was going to get back with Jesse or something.

A lot have been openly bad by engaging in anti-trans shit since the moment they mistakenly thought Abby was trans (some STILL do somehow???), and Bella Ramsey being nonbinary set that crowd on hating every part of them being casted. That’s not all remotely, but there’s alot of layers to it and there’s drastically different kinds of crowds watching this show

I dont get all the gripe about bellas age. Ellie is 19 in the 2nd game. Bella looks like a 19. The game did us a disservice by making ellie look like she was in her 20’s.
Bella is 21 years old and was probably around 19 when they filmed this. People complain about the dumbest sh*t.

The Last of part 2 will be season 2 & season 3 of HBO'S Series, director & writer confirmed.
Also according to the writer/director Craig Mazin, they are planning to wrap the series up in 4 seasons, so expect a 4th season boyz.
Bella just has a baby face. That ain’t changing and they knew that casting her. Bella will have the same look in a decade if no work done, which would be unnecessary. Will need makeup or prosthetics to achieve a more grizzled look.

What you think is coming may not actually happen in season 2. It has already been alluded to, that we are not only talking about at least a season 2 + a season 3 based on the 2nd game, but also that the structure and chronology is going to make season 2 different from the game, while the story itself will be much the same.
In any case, the 2nd game was more about hate and revenge. In season 1 Joel was made look more vulnerable than in the game, and notice that he is also sheading tears at the end of this teaser, not to forget the therapist at the very start, that has been added, so you can expect season 2 to be going in kind of the same direction in some places, unlike in the game.

They should have recast Ellie. They cast her to play a 14 year old and now they keep her to play a 20 year old. Abby from TLOU 2 would kill this Ellie with one smack.
No, they cast Bella because they needed someone who could portray both ages of Ellie 14 & 19. Ellie was written and played as a 14 year old in Season 1. in Season 2, she'll be written and played as a 19 year old closer to Bella's actual age.😊
