During the war in Syria people would leave wounded and sick near the fence , Israeli soldiers picked them up and took them to hospitals, free of charge. They did a terrible thing in damour but they were ofc a leftist, pan arabist, and non sectarian militia. The Phalangists on the ither hand were basically neo-fascist in ideology and determined to exclude Muslims arabs and palestinians in general from lebanese life.
