I’ve been saying this all season: We NEED to pay B Flo like a head coach. Don’t let him walk! There is no coaches salary cap so we can pay him any amount. If the Wilfs are willing to pay $2 million for tickets to the Lions game, they can dish out extra money for defensive coordinator.
He's already rich, he can get head coach money with a head coach job, and he's made it very clear he wants to be a head coach again. Paying him more isn't going to convince him to keep being a DC, you people are delusional thinking it will. Just have to hope that he realizes that none of the job openings this year are worth leaving for. Next year though the Bills (if they disappoint in the playoffs and don't improve next year), Bengals, and maybe even the 49ers could be looking for new head coaches. Hopefully he's smart enough to hold out for one of those jobs and stays another year, but that's best case scenario. He's too good to not get another HC job, the sooner people accept that, the better.

Winners win and great quarterbacks make plays. That said, I’ve softened a bit on Sam’s performance - O-line failed him. KOC play calling failed him. He’s not innocent but the offense needed to step up and help him in Detroit and they didn’t.
Am not too worried about Darnold, am pretty sure he will recover from his horrific game and if not we move on to next year. Rams are no easy task but Vikings can win this game!

Darnold had more pressures, hurries, and hits in the game against the Lions than the Vikings put on Daniel Jones in the first game of the season. Is it any wonder he did not play that well? Name one QB who would have had a great game under those circumstances. The O line was pathetic. The game plan had no options for pressure and blitzes. There were no in game adjustments made because KOC only had one game plan. It was for what the Lions did the last time. KOC game planned for the last game. He is the biggest culprit in Darnold and O line playing poorly. The Lions did something different than they showed all season, and KOC coughed up a lung. Campbell and Anzalone rushed the passer a total of 19 times. The Vikes missed blitz pickups at an astounding rate.
Agreed Jamir Gibbs stat alone in the Lions game was a killer. That why i like idea of Vikings going out for their own Gibbs in draft if they can find him if it means trading up to get best Rb in draft like their trade up with Dallas Turner could be an option if the other RBs not up to par but lot of time to look at the draft after this season.
I just remember in 2021, the Niners swept the Rams in the regular season and they met in the NFC Title Game and the Rams won it. So, there's hope that if we see the Lions again, we'll take our revenge in the playoffs. Which will be much sweeter.
