I'll be super shocked if this isn't the best Spider-Man game ever. Such a great and passionate team that loves the character as much as the fans that'll play it. I'm so glad they picked insomniac
oh same here, this looks like it'll easily beat SM2 (that's just me).
The only actual good Spider-Man games in my opinion, are Shattered Dimensions and Ultimate Spider-Man. Other than that, every other one has been either meh, or god awful. This will most definitely be the first amazing Spider-Man game, especially considering Insomniac’s track record.

Shattered dimensions is my second fav. My fav tho is web of shadows, the acting is a bit terrible but everything else I really love. Ultimate Spider-Man is another great pick tho. Fingers crossed I can say this one is my new favorite come September

The Velocity suit was the second of the "original suits" which was officially announced at the Marvel Games panel in Hall H. The Advanced suit (the one with the white emblem), is the only other Insomniac original suit that has been confirmed and named. Yes there will be more original suits.
I really dislike how some gamer channels try to make it seem like it will have a small story...*cough*Caboose*cough* God of war took as long as Spider-Man to make and it was over 25 hrs + Have some faith true believers!
Edit: P.S. they’ve stated the script is over 3,500 words longer then GTA V’s. I’m convinced.

You and the 5 likes. 3,500 words longer than GTA V's script.. Not 3,500 in the entire game. GTA V is an average of 30 hours for the story. Spiderman has noticable villains, as opposed to the many come and go characters in GTA V. I'm assuming Spiderman will clock around 22-27 hours on average.

I'm sorry, but am I the only one who's sick of hearing about Bryans origin story? This guy is getting way too much credit for someone who didn't design, write, act or program anything in the game.

The amount of love this game and hero receives from this studio is amazing. To have the time to record different lines based upon if he’s moving or not shows that. I can’t wait to play this game!!
I knew I really liked Bryan Intihar. The Ultimate Spider-Man comics were my favorite comics as well. Growing up with that gritty, violent, and refreshing interpretation gave me a lot of perspective on Spider-Man and Peter Parker as two halves of the same whole.

Man that insomniac Spider suit has really grown on me. I hated it the first time I saw it and now I almost prefer it over the classic Spidey suit. It really is great looking

WackyTabakee It's the series I grew up on but upon rereading it I really didn't like it. It's really depressing, Peter just goes through hardship after hardship after hardship. Then he died. Plus everyone else in the Ultimate Universe was literally an asshole.
If they implement the Ultimate Spider-Man suit that was in the comics and the 2005 game, I’ll practically throw my wallet at Insomniac’s HQ.

I’ve heard in multiple interviews with Bryan and the team, “this first game”, notice you hear him say it here when Spider-Man is fighting Kingpin. I really wonder if Insomniac is planning a second or even third game and this is where I think Miles could come into play, pun intended. Peter is already 8 years as Spider-Man so what if at the end of this game Miles is brought in as the Spider-Man as a passing of the torch from a Peter and the second game focuses on Peter training Miles and Miles taking over?¿ So many possibilities
it could even start with DLC. we shall see.

Spider-Man is like Marvel's second Captain America, I love this character and finally getting a game of him as an adult like in the Raimi films which was the best spidey

The Gotham Knight that or it will go away from tech to other stuff. If they have a connected universe of games like this and avengers project we might see doctor strange and daredevil in spiderman sequels and more enhanced/magic plus other villians like sandman mysterio kraven chameleon venom and norman as green goblin in a mech suit or oz formula creature from ultimate universe

I'm not even a fan of Spidey or super heroes in general but I'm hyped for this game simply because it looks FUN and GORGEOUS! I know web swinging had effort put in to make it good but I hope the story is cool for non fans to enjoy and combat is great also?!
Game looks phenomenal. That care-free spin he does during almost every swing needs to be seriously reduced however. The animation looks lovely, and flows beautifully. How often it happens, though, doesn't seem natural and appears overly scripted. It's such a specific movement that activating it as one of the default swings or every 2nd or 3rd swing seems unnatural to me at least.
And for those thinking I'm hating - I'm not. It's just a small thing that I can't stop seeing/noticing that is immersion breaking for me. Likewise to seeing behind the curtains to the cogs running the machine.

Ok I’m sorry but it’s so obvious who they’re talking about when they talk about peter’s mentor, they won’t give a name tho, but it’s so obvious that it’s Norman Osborn. I think they’re gonna show that the spider that bit peter was a project of oscorp and Norman offered to help peter figure out how his powers work, and he even helps peter with the advanced suit. And in the game peter will be fighting the green goblin but not know it’s Norman till later in the game, probably gets his suit bashed in some form since normal definitely put in a failsafe for it and he regroups with MJ and Miles, they work their way up fighting the sinister six and getting all the information they can. And they win in the end.
Corby orange No. Norman doesn’t know Peter is Spider-Man at all. If you’re going off the last trailer, those two scenes featuring Peter and Norman aren’t in the same scene. Just a clever editing trick. Plus it’s either Norman or Doc Ock. Most likely Doc Ock. I mean he’s the last member of the S6 that has yet to be shown. Idk if it would be Norman since he’s mayor. He wouldn’t have time to be mayor AND in the lab doing experiments.
And I just watched a video to say he’s not working at oscorp, and how does Norman not know peter if he was in that story trailer where he went” peter Parker, how the hell are you?” But I think Norman might be Spider-Man’s mentor but not knowing spiderman is peter, at least not revealing it to Norman but he finds out anyway but doesn’t reveal it to peter until he’s already shown he is the Green Goblin, I won’t believe that doc ock is the villain, why would they show Norman but not Otto Octavious? It makes no sense.

I hate how people always jump on the Stark bandwagon. This IS NOT Homecoming. Stark isn’t always a mentor to Peter. This is singularly a Spider-Man game. No outside Marvel cameos. Just Easter eggs.
Charlie Kurlzz that still feels like a missed opportunity. Side quests would have been good, have Pete finding lost pieces of Tony's tech or stealth missions where you obtain documents to help Matt Murdock with court cases. Still build the universe but make it just a little more filled with heros

After the kingpin fight the classic suit gets all ripped, so he makes the advanced one. In the menu you can either choose damaged classic suit or normal.
