- Moving my baby blotched blue tongue skinks from the start of the year to their new naturalistic outdoor enclosure! While we are at it lets do some maintenance on the pits!
Животные
I hope that more blue tongue skink subspecies become more popular in the states. I really want a centralian blue tongue.
Wow! They get so big so fast! I'm amazed that they were only hatched out a year ago. They look like little, chubby, foot long, sausages, with cute blueberry squishy tongues. They really are such neat and docile lizards and I like them very much. Thank you for sharing them with us. 😊👍
Mate, thank you so much for your videos and sharing your expertise in keeping reptiles in general. I appreciate it as a newcomer a lot and I know my Blueys and future Geckos will appreciate the experience you're sharing with me as a keeper.
Very cool, updates are always nice to see.
Thumbs up awesome video and I love the name of the channel 😀
wow, awesome blueys collection.
Woah they are huge!!! Wow
Nice pits for them to live in. They all look great so beautiful. In America you don't see so diverse a collection of Blue tongue skinks. Thank you for showing them to us.
GOD BLESS 🦎💖🦎💖🦎💖
Man they are a pretty skink! I would have one if I lived in Australia. I don’t think I have ever seen one for sale in the USA.
They grow so quick! I have a 10-month-old Eastern female, "Ashe", who is already past the 40cm mark!
Awesome Coop looking great mate cheers
Love those pits!
So much enjoyment keeping them out there!
Your videos are so cool and inspiring
They put the astro fire pit tent roof on the dark tounge for cover you know what that means ☝️😂
nice😁
You stole my hoe too my lovely paper that picked up the ceaser sauce that went into the honey monster bin which Churchill dog angle was deployed ☝️😭

Hey Coop, I've been wanting to get a Blotchy for a while now .. especially since my son back home last year, with his 2..and has since moved out with them again 😭
I'm REALLY interested in having a chat about if you'll sell any babies when your beautiful mumma has hers. I'm down in Melbourne..which is why I want a Blotchy, father than a Northern, or Central, etc (& preferably a pair).. but definitely 1.
Be great if I could have a chat to you about it. I prefer your set ups & your lizards look super healthy!!
Hope you had a good weekend! ✌️
First yay
Hey @coop's reptiles do you know the name of that grass plant 5:19? Great enclosures!
I didnt know they could eat dog kibble, might try that!
yeah its convenient I use it sometimes for variation!
@@coopsreptiles2588 Yeah, awesome. I'll remember that next time I want to mix up my shinglebacks diet a bit. Small question for anyone that knows too, I have a huge problem with ants getting to my lizards food since they're in an outdoor pen. How do you combat that safely, without posions that might harm the lizards? They refuse to eat if I disturb them too much before feeding so I can't really bring them inside or bring them out physically to feed. I just have to let them find it themselves.
Have you ever had issues with mites in outdoor pits or is that really only an issue for indoor keeping?
thankfully ive never had an issue with it!
How big do they get they are adults !!
Had a female that was about 55cm
Hey cooper? One of my Neighbours found a eastern bts and I went to catch it and release it in my garden but when I was about to release it I found it had a MASIVE gash on its right front leg i think I could see the bone idk what to do I have released him but in Mel it’s gona be a hot day so I have a feeling ima see it again but when I do should I catch it take it to a vet or try get a bandage on it?
Random question, can blotched blueys breed with eastern or any other blue tounges?
they possibly can but It is not a good thing to do IMO. Species are species for a reason keep them separate
hey mate I'm in the middle of breeding my 2 blue tongues, just want to know can I keep the baby's together for there life. just need to know how many tanks I need to make.
I live just north of Melbourne and I found a lizard in my shed today - didn't handle it, and it seemed to have made a nest of dried grass under my lawnmower and it can get in and out of the shed so I decided to leave it alone. It seems much longer than these lizards in the video, maybe 60 cm long and very snake-like in appearance with tiny, skinny legs. Another different between the ones in this vid is that is seems to have hoops rather than blotches. Does anyone know what it sounds like? I want to leave it some food so I want to make sure I am leaving the right snacks for the species.
3rd comment les go
Hey coop, I always see blue tongues in my backyard but I’m too scared to pick them up.
Does it hurt if they bite?
Yes they have very good jaw pressure
@@coopsreptiles2588 so won’t be attempting to pick them up haha, thanks
@Mr Jones thanks for that
@@jakedalessio1706 I mean if you pick them up the right way you should be fine
How do you stop then from digging out of the pens?
the walls are sunk into the ground
@@coopsreptiles2588 and what do you do in winter to keep them warm just keep wood shavings in their hides? Asking because i was thinking of putting mine outside to free up space for another snake
I would really love to build a lizard run down the side of my house. I heard blue tongues may get aggressive towards other blueys. How do you manage this ?
Space, choosing the right animals, not putting males together
