Good video. I have a 35RT I grabbed cause I wanted a ligh amp with an aux in and I have a bunch of Orange amps so I lean that way. Holy crap man, he ain’t joking it’s loud. It’s super loud and acts like a tube amp in many ways . 25 lbs of pissed off transistors . Loved this video he really stretched its legs out.
This amp scared the hell out of me! Bought it about 2 years ago. Had been playing Katana 112s for a while and was tired of them. Wanted something basic that I could just plug and play. Unboxed this amp. (I got the black version too) Plugged in with the volume at maybe 3 or so. Strummed the strings a couple times. Strummed a couple chords. Then I did a quick down up hitting it hard and I just about fell out of my damn chair. It got LOUD! lol The Katanas were 100w, and of course they would get loud, but there was no touch response like this thing. Never regretted selling them at all.
Haha nice story! Thanks for sharing. Yes, they get incredibly loud. I never owned a Katana, only tried the 50w mk1 version once while it stood in the rehearsal room. I think they sound very good, but I was never interested in actually buying one for myself.
I’ve had my 35RT for over 6 years now and I’m still amazed by it! I have other, more expensive, Oranges. I keep going back to the little 35RT as the amp I use the most.
Man thank you for this remake. Considering a 35RT as half of a weird bedroom stereo solution because it has an fx loop. When looking for reviews last night I heard you say it won't compete with a drum kit, and I said to myself in my midnight haze "no problem, I won't ever play with real drums again" ... Woke up this morning still thinking about the amp, and the algorithm tossed me this follow up. Really appreciate the retraction and proof of concept! Sounds like this amp is a winner.
Thanks for watching, yeah you should really get this amp! I bought it for the same reason, light weight and fx loop and I don't regret the purchase one bit.
@@PedalJunkie just did, there was one 10 minutes away and I have spent the last couple of hours playing through it! Going to double it with the my Yamaha THR30IIW tomorrow; ABY pedal on the way. Total bedroom overkill. Totally different response on the Orange from anything on the Yamaha and I love that box. Pedal board has practically exploded to experiment 😂
Now THIS is a practical review and practical sound samples I'm looking for, even though you almost blew up your mic LOL. When looking at amps with this kind of wattage, home practice isn't the only thing I'm looking for. Yeah Orange amps are generally freaking loud, I don't know if it's their mids or circuitry or what. But their wattage does deceive you.
I have that amp, love it, but I haven't gigged or band rehearsed with it. I was hoping to pair it with another amp (not purchased yet) for a Wet-Dry rig setup. My thoughts were to mic it and put that through the PA in either circumstance. Thanks for putting this together. It looked like fun :o)
Yes mine is a gig amp in medium venues.. it is a killer little amp for recording practice or gigging. It does so much, and takes peddles great too. Orange builds great stuff. And I have played through Marshall half stacks. Lol
Normally I'm a Marshall guy too, but I don't know...I've been playing by ny self quite a bit lately because currently I'm not in a band, so this amp is killer in any situation.
This was a breath of fresh air. I feel like it’s OK to make a mistake. But the way you made your amends. Was fantastic. This was such a good video. I have a question. What do you use to edit your videos? And I subscribed to your channel. You have so many videos for me to watch I can’t wait. The Guitar playing sound great. I don’t know I could go on and on and on. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for watching and subscribing! I'm glad you liked it 🤘🏻 about your question, since I don't have a computer (actually I have an old windows 10 pc but I just use it to browse the internet occasionally) I do everything with my phone. I use an app called "Vidma" to edit my stuff and "canva" for the thumbnails. I checked your other videos as well, I enjoyed everything you put on your channel, especially your cool intro 😎
Tnx for the updated review! 👍🏻 The amp sounds great. Was your distorted guitar sound just the amp on the dirty channel or the clean channel with pedals?
Thanks for watching! The distorted guitar sound was the dirty channel with a Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive. The exact settings on the amplifier were: Dirty (volume) 1 o'clock, Treble 1 o'clock, Middle 2 o'clock, Bass 3 o'clock, Gain 2 o'clock The Boss Pedal was : volume all the way up, tone 12 o'clock and gain all the way down. Cheers 🤘🏻
I use my crush 35rt as a power amp for my boss Gx100, and other preamp pedals like an Empress Heavy, fantastic little amp for that. And of course the amp's own preamp section sounds great too
Love the video, especially your humility and desire to set the record straight! Subscribed.
Thank you very much! Yeah, that was important to me
Orange amps are fantastic no matter the wattage or price!
Tip. You can make any valve Orange amp sound exactly like a lifeless Marshall by dialing the mid to 0.
0 it's like a fender, 2-3 it's like a marshall 😌
Dude, this is EXACTLY what I was searching for, drums and this amp, thanks a lot.
Same, thanks dude❤

Thank you very much my friend!
I think you guys sounded great!

Me too this little amp replaced all my other amps..5 years with it Still rocks loud and tight. 35RT hard to beat.
Respect
Well, that was not expected. Obviously will not go anywhere, but I support it.

And for good reason! Thank you very much for watching 🫡
Have been using it in live gigs?

@braindamage_eclipse man that's great to hear 😁 thanks for the update!
Thank you Sir for sharing the experience, now i like to get one for myself. You guys Rock🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thank you very much for watching and your feedback, Sir 🫡
Get one, you'll love it
More watts =/= More volume
If you want to know how loud it gets, disregard the specs. Just turn it up. No need to make assumptions
All from a 1x10 speaker too!
Yes! Amazing

That sounds like a great idea! I'm sure it will sound beautiful. Thank you for watching, yes we had a lot of fun 😁

Do you know how this amp works with a multieffect pedal? I just want to use the power amp sections. Thanks!
You can do that, no problem 👌🏼
