Great video. I JUST bought the Mini Cinch at Michael’s 40% off coupon brought it to about $50. I had additional 20% for the binding wires and other items I bought. No one in the store knew anything about it or how to use it. One associate suggested RUclips so I looked you up. I don’t make journals to sell but I love making books for friends and myself. My first plan is to make a “book” of calendar pictures with Scriptures for a friend who likes that type of thing. I will most likely layer the pictures onto card stock in odder to cover the calendar grid on the back side. OR I could put two pictures back to back… not sure yet. I have multiple sized calendar pages so I’ve got some “creative crafting” to do, but that’s half the fun!
I ordered the bigger cinch last night and even though I know it won’t be as worth it since I’m not planning to sell art and craft works anymore for the moment… I enjoy buying these tools that let me create what I want. I’m glad you showed it with the watercolour paper as I bought mine specifically to make sketch books with a mixture of heavy weight paper I like in a number of different sizes as well. This helped me understand that I will only be able to do a few sheets at a time and how long it could take to make a sketch book with that many pages. Also planning to create some portable travel journals and itinerary plans for my trip in a few months
Thanks so much for sharing! I just got my mini cinch - it was on clearance so I got it for about $38USD and all of the binding wires were $3 each. I haven't tried it out yet but I'm looking forward to using it for gifts.
Thank you for this video! I just got mine and cant wait to play with it. Michaels Canada 129.99 but used 40% coupon (online only and did store pick up) so was $77 Canadian. I would have preferred the larger cinch but it's hard to find in Canada
Thank you for this informative video. I watched a few and they were not as helpful as yours. I am making recipe cards for Christmas and found maybe I should've bought the bigger one but I'm not sure how often I'd use it after this gift. Nice job!
Super cute! I got this mini and the big cinch, i prefer this mini version as I don’t do a lot of craft and the big one took too much space. Also the big version has a little edge right where your papers slide in for punching, so if you don’t pay close attention and make sure the paper go all the way in, you would end up wasting some as it would be misaligned. I don’t have that issue with the mini.
That's good to know I have both and I have the same issue with kid it is not lined up exactly right. Every time you have to double check so you don't waste your paper.
I just bought my cinch from Michaels with a 50% off coupon. It cost me 39.99 USD. It's mindboggling to me that less than a year ago it was retailing for over $100.
Clear and helpful video, thanks for sharing. It’s a great little machine but really bad that they don’t include any words to get you started. You’re essentially buying a useless machine if it doesn’t work out of the box.

Thank you, you did a great job demonstrating the tool. much appreciate your care.
Very helpful. I had 1 got frustrated with it & put it up, but now you've motivated me to give it another try.

Thank you. Hobby Lobby in Spokane: $59.99 US I agree, binding wires are hard to find. Looks likevAmazon and one Office Supply are $27.99/16 wires.
Thank you for sharing. Very useful 🎉🎉. Do you know where I can find the tape ?
You did a GREAT job showing how that works and made a neat notebook. 😊👍
Amazon is currently having the Mini Cinch w accessories on sale now (8/9/24) for $69. Includes book boards, coils, and a wire cutter!
What size is that book 6x8 ? Every Mini Cinch video i watched shows how its done but none say the book measurements. Is it A4 ? 6x8 ? 8x11 ?
Extremely helpful. Thank you so much for posting this!
Thanks for this review. Weighing prices on regular and mini.... this was very helpful.
Thanks for the in depth review!
Thank you for this thorough tutorial/review!
Finally some one in Canada sharing same passion as me, I love your videos. Thanks for sharing

I'm planning on buying it soon. I think I prefer the mini because it's smaller and youcan change the attatchments for the holes.
The mini can’t be changed but the MULTI cinch can use the other hole types don’t get the wrong one (I may or may not have done so)
Does the mini have a way to reopen the wires of your journal to add more pages? I think the larger machine may have that?
Super helpful... thank you for sharing!
Great tutorial!!! Thank you ❤
Can I make a 6 x 8 notebook using the mini cinch?
I purchased the mini cinch with bundle set for less than $80 from Michaels.
The 1/4 inch wire doesn't seem to fit on the mini cinch easily. What am I doing wrong?
The mini cinch uses 5/8 wires = 0.625
Thank you for this information.
What size chipboard did you use for the back cover?
I did the same size as the inner pieces and cover. Mine ended up being 15.3cm by 18cm

Would the mini cinch cut through laminated cardstock?
Yes it does. I use it for that :)
Thank u 😊
