This movie represent my childhood, I remember in 2000 i was 9 years old and went to Cinema with my father and since that day me and my father always watch this every year. Today my father is having difficult to walk and dont go out anymore because hes old and have back problem but I still invited him and we went to the Cinema watch GLadiator 2. He had difficult time to go up the stair to have the best spot to watch it but I helped him and he made it and we had fun again watching the movie. BUT we still prefer Gladiator 1 for sure ! I love my father

It just blows my mind that humans had such low respect for other lives that they just killed eachother while cheering and laughing about it. It’s cool history, but damn it was brutal back then.
Phoenix had the meatier part to play and did it to perfection. When the hate for a character lingers into the actors next few roles you know they did their job but then he totally redeemed himself in Signs. The script and Gibson sucked but Phoenix tried to hoist that turd up. His performance holds up.
