That yellow accent at the bottom of Jaune's new shield was Pyrrah's headpiece... all that remained after she was incinerated by Cinder.
Damn, so he carries a part of her with him always now, that is so sad, I did not expect that I would end up feeling so bad for Jaune after the earlier Volumes, I thought he was gonna start as a whimp and get his shining arc, but poor guy is really suffering, tho he is really improving so there is that
Jaune is actually taller than Ren, it wasn't just the camera angle.
Oh, the farm boy is relevant...you just have to wait to find out how.
The intro does contain a minor spoiler, but after episode 3, you can watch it without any issue.
Oh, and keep in mind what Salem ordered her minions to do:
Cinder: stay there and recover.
Dr Watts: meet an informant in Mistral.
Hazel: meet with the leader of the White Fang...who's apparently named Sienna Khan.
Tyrian: capture Ruby and bring her back to Salem.
And yeah, it was Ruby's giant white blast from her silver eyes that made Cinder lose an eye and her voice.
Jaune is actually pretty heckin' big, isn't he? Don't worry about the intro, I think I watched it at Ep.5 or something? Maybe 4? Cause yeah, I did talk before about how I am a bit ahead in watching compared to posting on the channel, to avoid spoilers, just in case, also I did not expect what Ruby did to mess up Cinder that badly
Something to look for in coming episodes/chapters... The Schnee butler Klein whom you saw talking with Weiss at the end has a unique Semblance. All I will say is that if Weiss is based upon Snow White, then Klein is her '7 dwarves' wrapped into one.
I am usually a few episodes ahead in recording compared to posting, so advices like this might sometimes be a bit too late haha
Yeah, the gold is from Pyrrha headpiece, the only thing that remained after Cinder flash-incinerated her. The whole JNRR (Junior) vs RNJR (Ranger) debate is a nod to the community trying to come up with a name for team, with those being but 2 of the proposed names. You may not have noticed, but Nora's upgrade is her hammer producing electricity for her to absorb and charge her semblance. Interesting fact, that Grimm they fought was a Geist, but when it made itself a stone body, that form is called a Petra Gigas, and the thing Weiss fought in the White trailer is an Arma Gigas. That was apparently several Geists forced to possess the armour of Nicolas Schnee, Weiss's grandfather and founder of the SDC, and it's defeat was Weiss's test by her father to allow her to attend Beacon. Yes, Jacques Schnee (Weiss's father, and he changed his last name from Gelé when he married Weiss's mother Willow) made his daughter destroy a treasured heirloom to try and prevent her from escaping his control. There was a reason she was avoiding talking to him in Volumes 2 and 3.
Like I said in another reply, I feel really bad for Jaune, tho the gold thing is pretty sweet of him and at least he carries a piece of her with him now, also the naming thing is pretty cool, I like how sometimes they integrate community stuff in the actual show, at least they show interest and inclusion for their fandom, tho when it comes to Nora's hammer, it became like Thor's hammer now if it can produce electricity, but bigger and bonkier, and to be honest with you, I am NOT going to remember the Gigas names, but the story about the trailer is pretty cool, that feels like some pretty nice to know backstory, and Weiss' dad does seem like a prick, I am a big ahead in recordings so *spoiler* I did see him
Fun Fact: Tyrian (The guy who had a kill boner) is was voiced by the English VA of Armin from Attack on Titan and my GOD does he do an amazing job voicing him.
OH, I had no idea, Jessie James Grelle?? That one is also a VTuber, called Mimcubus, I knew of them for a long time but had no idea they voiced in RWBY, huh
The technique blacksmiths use to fuse two different metals together is called marrying, so Pyrrha’s head piece was married to Jaune’s shield which was a family heirloom so you could Pyrrha married into the Arc family, and realize her dream.
Vol 4 is full of lore bombs. Can't wait for this volume!
Volume 4 feels to me like a whole new era of the show, like walking into a new age where there are new possibilities that opened up by the ending of Volume 3, and I cannot wait to see what they do with them !
