Ricky and his family have been fighting an uphill struggle against debt since the 2008 financial crash. An opportunity to wrestle back some independence appears with a shiny new van and the chance to run a franchise as a self-employed delivery driver. It's hard work, and his wife's job as a carer is no easier. The family unit is strong but when both are pulled in different directions everything comes to breaking point. Кино
One of the influencing factors in the film is the shot when the son comes to ask his injured father if he needs any help. That was very impactful. My eyes teared up in this scene.
Salut from Morocco 🇲🇦🏴🇬🇧
So inspirational, great questions, untold respect to all involved, LOVE Ken and everything he stands for x
Champion of social causes. We love covering his films 🎥
Fantastic interviews!
This film is amazing I am going to look up Ken's other works now
ohhh first film to them?? how come ..wow
they were amazing..watched the film mannnny times.
You have to give credit to Paul Laverty, too (person on the right ;-) )... who wrote many of Ken Loach´s films. I´ve just watched "Sorry we missed you" - even darker and more sad than most of Loach´s other movies, I think.
Gracias
After seeing this film and the unexpected fading end in particular, this intervieuw served as a bandage to some inner turmoil. I loved the depiction of life, the talented actors, hated the very rare signs of bright spots for the family. I understand why though. Maybe I expected more parallels with The Pursuit of Happyness. The fact that it didnt makes this gripping movie better as it stands and falls on its own.
