If you're a yank, and I assume you are because you're moaning about sound quality, tell me; why are you all so useless at hearing everything? Is it because you're all so irritatingly loud all the time? You burn each others ears out in day-to-day conversation etc... If you're having trouble hearing any of this and you're not a yank, you need to see an aurologist, lively.
The content is top notch whether its military or not. Any old iron being sorted is worth watching and anyone who disagrees aint a true full blown Petrol/Diesel/Steam head! Keep it coming!
Loved this content, & knew you'd get it going again but thought you'd cobble the burnt out fastrack lump in the hole, brilliant job as always, looking forward to the Stolly rebuild & hope Jack is sorted now! 😜👍
The “complete gyppo” comment had me chortling. Great little video. Glad to hear Jack’s doing ok after his op and will be back on the channel soon with his sarcastic comments.
True delight in the shed when it fired up. One of the continual joys of this channel is the vicarious feeling of joy, delight, pleasure when things go well as if we were actually invested either financially of physically in the whole project. Keep up the great work
Quite frankly Joe, you deserve a medal for working and filming in this heat and humidity. Right now I make a cabbage look energetic. I should have been born somewhere in northern Norway. 🫠❤🫠
Happy birthday Joe, I always look forward to your videos. It's good to see younger people not afraid to get dirty and to get things running that have been setting for ever. You and your buddies truly have a gift for that. Keep up the good work.
You got some well earned luck with getting that going and it looks a good 'un with no obvious looseness in the boom or stick pivots or - perish the thought- the slew assembly! undercarriage looks sound too. Well done on saving it because anyone else would have taken it out of that hole with the cutting torch 👍
Good work getting the old Cat running, it may struggle for lack of horses if operating multiple banks at the same time. You're fast becoming the English WD, you have the excavator, just need to set light to a Ferrari in one of your dad's fields now. Could call yourself "Misfiring/Sputtering Petrol" in keeping with a lot of the old military engines you have... It'll be great to see Jack back with his humour and the banter between you two.
I don't know about this particular model, but I know many old Cat engines were essentially identical between the NA and turbo versions. Pretty much the only differences on many is the injection pump, manifold, and turbo itself. Might be feasible to swap those parts over if they aren't too far gone. Regardless it'll be a fine machine as-is. Just gotta take things a bit slower.
Well done Joe, another one 'saved' & a good workhorse for around your place I'm sure. Best wishes to Jack, for a trouble free recovery from whatever surgery he required having 'bit's shaved .. 😉 .. 😂 Thanks for sharing .. 😂 .. 👍 atvb t ..
That was pretty cool, amazed that everything worked so well. If you're too tight to put fresh diesel in it, filter old hydraulic oil, & thin it down with some old brake fluid.
Brilliant stuff. The smile when you get things running is fantastic. It's so cool seeing someone so passionate about something and getting joy from it. Thanks for taking the time to put these videos together.
Good news all round , a service for the old girl and that it! I suspect every hose is toast but still very good to see , Thanks guys this lots of fun to watch!
What a brilliant video I,ve been following your progress on the cat as I cut my teeth on this model as an apprentice would be great to see her finished and glazed keep up the plant rescues joe 😀
I like watching any form of mechanicing, generally between you and watch wes work. Tanks are cool but so are diggers it’s all cool, Keep up the good work Joe and belated happy birthday.
belated birthday message 'your getting older' all best to Jack and having his legs done to pin up super model length hope the weather stays warm but not too hot to do tank work great to see the Cat thing working again, sure you'll find something suitable to crush with it, of pick a boxing match with something similar
Swapping rhe engine made all the difference and seems quite healthy as it doesn't smoke. Of course there is still to do but at last it is working 💪 👍👍👍
I laughed like hells bells ringing when the Cat motor sprang to life. Obviously, you couldn’t believe it either, hence the second start attempt to confirm you weren’t dreaming!!! 😃 The birthday gods were smiling on you Joe, but only until you needed new hoses! I’ll never understand the price gouging mentality. When new customers came my way, I did whatever I could to keep em coming back. I guess greed never takes a day off. Anyhow, I spent my Sunday morning in my easy chair with a cup of coffee enjoying your program. Bravo sir, another job well done!!! Btw, hopefully I speak for all in wishing Jack a speedy recovery and I can’t wait for him to get back into the mix. Slow & easy is the best way to heal up & live life. 😃👍🏻👍🏻
Good to see the “digger” is practical project. How is ‘our’ friend Jack I hear he has been to the hospital- give him our regards and tell him to get well soon - we are missing his gallows humour. Regards to all.
1/Beware Hydraulic Oil catches fire really easily. 2/ H Oil from a split pipe could have huge psi and a thin jet can pass through your body, and then its probably lights out. Apart from that warning great vid as always.👍👍
Love this channel.I know nothing about fixing or engineering but love your process from broken abandoned junk to working again.I think you need a better sound recording system as its hard to hear you sometimes.Keep up the great work!
Well done Joe and team another brilliant save! I have been a life long hay fever victim, a few years ago a friend put me on to Flixonase, unlike all the other stuff I had tried it really works for me. You may have to go to the quack for a prescription but don't get fobbed of with anything else.
Love the channel . . Some microphones would add so much to be able to hear your wisdom! Keep it up Mr Hewes

This is exactly what I was thinking, especially as I'm old and going deaf already 😂
Yes I’m deaf as well
Yes, microphones would help my old ears

Without being condescending the knowledge you guys have whilst so young is commendable please keep up the amazing work you do.
A handy piece of recovery kit to add to the fleet , and very handy round the farm for your dad
What a well behaved little engine !
That engine starting on the back of the truck is cool ass, like a bringing a heart back to life
Can we take a moment to appreciate the Bose PA rig in the workshop
Personally I love seeing you revive machinery aswell. I could watch videos like this all day. Its all cool.
The content is top notch whether its military or not. Any old iron being sorted is worth watching and anyone who disagrees aint a true full blown Petrol/Diesel/Steam head! Keep it coming!

Even without the turbo, you got this thing going in record time. Good on yah!!
The sheer reliability is AMAZING....THATS SOME ENGINEERING...OH YEAH
True delight in the shed when it fired up. One of the continual joys of this channel is the vicarious feeling of joy, delight, pleasure when things go well as if we were actually invested either financially of physically in the whole project. Keep up the great work

Never thought that would be so easy. Engine running, But everything else works aswell.. Great job, Great channel.
Great to see you uploading regularly. Think we can all agree this is the best account on youtube . Great bunch of lads too
Great to see it back and running after all those years, will be a handy bit of kit to have.
Very cool. Love seeing these old abandoned vehicles given a new lease of life... plus diggers are always fun.
You and the crew make it look so simple... well done lads and lasses.
Nice to see Ted turning up when all the work has been done!.....thats the perks of being the boss though!
Another brilliant Sunday afternoon movie, thanks !!
Lummy, that engine sounds really sweet on first start up, really sweet 😁
Yeah it does and very little smoke . Think he got a good one there!
That is a great video! Really an accomplishment! And give our best wishes to Jack for a speedy recovery. We miss him.
When the boys ready with fixing, the girls clean it and give a shift fresh paint ❤Vivian Hyde 😊
Quite frankly Joe, you deserve a medal for working and filming in this heat and humidity.

Joe Hewes, you're a flaming miracle worker, mate! Brilliant!
excellent getting this thing back sorted. love to see you get it totally wrapped up and tidied.
Great video, fantastic to see that engine start so easily after all those years in storage. 😎👍
Great video. Great to see the old CAT coming back to life. Top job gents 👍
great to see u good a good set of mates to help .Great update MR H
Im amazed that that all worked so good after being left for so long in a field . Cool video 🙂
You mad? The engine from the field is wrecked, this is a replacement.
@@johnnunn8688 no but the hydraulics and gears etc is what I meant .
@@johnnunn8688 but the engine being wrecked wasn't because it has been left in a field, which I think was the point.
@@Rover200Power , it has nothing to do with you. Zeberdee explained, I liked his explanation.
@johnnunn8688 aww, someone IS mad, and it isn't zeberdee.
It's great to see another vehicle back from the dead. A very useful tool too.
Happy birthday Joe, I always look forward to your videos. It's good to see younger people not afraid to get dirty and to get things running that have been setting for ever. You and your buddies truly have a gift for that. Keep up the good work.
That machine will come in handy for so many projects. It still seems to have a lot of life left in it! Another great job well done and happy birthday!
You got some well earned luck with getting that going and it looks a good 'un with no obvious looseness in the boom or stick pivots or - perish the thought- the slew assembly! undercarriage looks sound too.
Well done on saving it because anyone else would have taken it out of that hole with the cutting torch 👍
Great score. That will come in handy just as a crane for pack lifts.
Brilliant. Had the pleasure of driving a 215 30 years ago, and would have one again tomorrow, far superior machine to the current offerings.
Good work getting the old Cat running, it may struggle for lack of horses if operating multiple banks at the same time.

Super a good service and clean fuel tank.... and she will be ready for work!👍

Not only does it run, it MAKES ITS OWN FUEL! 😆😆😆
Personally I love pretty much all heavy equipment so these videos have been pretty much just as good as the tank ones :D
Nice work! Was expecting some more hoses to blew up after sitting for so long. 😄Very durable machine!
Well done, for a second hand engine, a couple of pipes a lot of skill and hard work the old girl starts another life.
Happy birthday Joe. Awesome channel, great result there with the cat. Always good to see Ted. Much respect from West Wales
Good news all round , a service for the old girl and that it! I suspect every hose is toast but still very good to see , Thanks guys this lots of fun to watch!
Hi, enjoyed this mini series, many thanks.
What a brilliant video I,ve been following your progress on the cat as I cut my teeth on this model as an apprentice would be great to see her finished and glazed keep up the plant rescues joe 😀
I do want to slowly restore it
Engine seems to like it's new ride. If the digger minds, it doesn't show. Well done.
Great seeing things brought back to life :)
There is certain satisfaction getting a buggered tool working again...Anyway I liked it.👍
I like watching any form of mechanicing, generally between you and watch wes work. Tanks are cool but so are diggers it’s all cool, Keep up the good work Joe and belated happy birthday.

You make everything look so easy.
The smiles say it all. Awesome bloody job.
Superb video again. Love to see this old stuff getting used again. They don't build them like that anymore!
Swapping rhe engine made all the difference and seems quite healthy as it doesn't smoke. Of course there is still to do but at last it is working 💪 👍👍👍
That is magic, thanks for doing it. Of course if it was more modern I bet it wouldnt have even started with the door open 🙂
Thoroughly enjoyed this series. Looking forward to more.
Well done, great result access to an engine replacement was huge bonus.
First class job, well done I hope there's going to be more videos on the Cat 215. Keep the good videos coming.
Brilliant! Obviously you lot would get it up and running again 👍😊.
WHAT A BABE!!! Love a good kitty cat starting video
Enjoyed the video again boys and girls and lovely ted thankyou 🐕
Amazing Job Getting the Cat up and Running 👌🏽👌🏽🍾

Love the Bose 302/802 workshop sound system!
You guys are getting way too good at this. No one should have that easy of a first start up lol
Cracking job Mr Hewes!! sounds like a good runner too!
Phil
You guys Ace it every time...
That engine started well 👌🏻 runs like a dream
Loving the Bose 802s and subs hanging from the roof.

That engine was rocking the whole truck.
Great video. Hopefully we can see it digging at some point.
The way your head bobs up and down as it atarts to come to life on that truck bed was to funny 😂
Excellent as always you are a magician, fantastic job and looking forward to see this masterpiece targeted up 👌
Much appreciated 👍
Oh wow. The sequel we all wanted...and all expected!

after all those years you got her running again
