I've been given a 2 section loft ladder I just want to screw it and manually move the hatch out the way. Strangely it does not have any locking position does that mean the support at the top needs to take all the weight. It's a presumably very old Dracol 21

The two black rubber ends of my guide rail fall off, do you know where I can find the placement?
Who is the manufacturer? The main one is Werner, maybe it's them? I would ask them if they can send you some :)

One of hinges has come loose can they be fixed or do I have to buy a new ladder
Hello Denise, sorry to hear that. Can the hinge be screwed back tight again? If not, I suggest you contact the manufacturer and ask them to replace it under guarantee. Most of the ladders we sell come from Youngman (in Essex) (youngmanaccess dot com) but I don't know if you bought the ladder via us, or if it comes from another manufacturer? I hope that helps!
@@LoftZone we have had the loft years, I’m on my own now it’s not so much the hinge it has a metal rod which is attached to the floor that’s ok but the rod is attached to the ladder , it’s ok on the left side but the right side has come loose it’s like a plastic cap but that’s gone can you advise me

I am so not happy with the workman who installed my new loft ladder. He installed a pulldown wooden ladder that is so pathetically narrow,only a kid would feel at ease using it. I had ones before that were much sturdier and had much wider tread. Wouldn't mind if it was a cheap job but it wasn't😢
No one wants to go up into the loft even with a ladder so at least now you have a valid excuse to send a child up and not do it yourself. Well played
