I bought one of these and before I fitted it I thought I’d check to see if an install video existed. What a superb explanation! As I was going to attempt it but now I have full confidence I’m doing it right. Cheers lads - subscribed today 👍🏻
Just discovered this channel. You guys are great! Incredibly knowledgeable, great at explaining and take pride and care in your work. I wish all tradesmen were like this.
Taking over the RUclips game. Constant quality content 👌. Why don't you boys buy a shell of a house and do the whole lot would be a great RUclips series.
Fantastic video lads, love that you just explain it straight forward and don't try and use daft terminology! Down to earth and insanely helpful video! Definitely a viewer for life now!
I almost feel confident to do that by myself but am still gonna have a friend who knows more about these things than I. Mostly to have him there to catch me before I make the mistake I don’t want to make.
Are you both worried about asbestos in the Artex when sawing through it? Did you test it first. I ask coz I'm in a similar position wanting to extend a small hatch in an Artex ceiling. Thanks a lot
Hmmm I was thinking I could do this until you got talking about packers and lost me entirely. Would've been great to video the packers thing. Still excellent nonetheless, I think if I can at least make the hole in the roof and reinforce, I'll be able to spend less on the carpenter to install the rest for me!

Thinking of doing this to my loft. Is there a way to get some insulation on that set up or do you just have to put on draught excluders?
It has a fully insulated lid and is airtight 😊😊

Your “Skill saw” is made by DeWalt😂. Usually an American faux pas. Informative vid since I need to do exactly this..TY.

First thing you do is make sure the ceiling is not containing asbestos.

Don't forget your PPE for working in loft, hold on it's changed from my day, PPE is now baseball cap, trainer's & no hi vis
Why the fk would u need a hi vis in a loft?
@@waynemcmurray8405 it was a joke mate c,mon, train sets are sometimes found up there
THE SOUND IS horrible
This did not prepare me enough
What's up with it?
Poor sound quality.
