Nicki Parrott brings SO much to every ensemble she plays with! Such Energy, Style, Taste, and a Solid Groove! Can't get enough of her playing, and when she Sings!!!!
Peps is the best modern player... he and the late Kenny Davern were at the top for many years. Different styles, hard to choose, sometimes played together on albums. The irascible Kenny Davern has left us to complain about the amps up in Heaven, while Peps soldiers on. Ken the pride of Cleveland and many early 70s polka bands. Classic sense of humor as well.
I sometimes don't know whether I should hate this man because I'll never get anywhere close to his level. But of course, I love him. He plays such incredible beautiful music. I guess he could get music out of a lantern post.

I tripped over him a couple years ago - instant fan (my past included music major/woodwinds/and abundant venue of great artists) - Come to find out we have several mutual friends and acquaintances - Hope to get to NYC and see/hear him perform live soon. I've shared his work with at least 30 fellow musicians, vocal artists, composers, Film/TV Music Directors - and friends that simply appreciate real instruments, talent, and music. All agree with us - He's a world class talent, diverse in genres ...and he has a fabulous sense of humor. I found him listen to Gypsy Jazz "Django Reinhardt New York City Festival" here on RUclips, I recommend a listen - Jan Solomon posted - I think it was from 2003 or 06, (the audio is pretty good - not professionally engineered, but you can enjoy the talents - Ken stole the show - and they're all great artists) - Enjoy 🎶
Ken Peplowski? The BEST! Recently watched a rather silly RUclips clip that listed ‘the greatest clarinet players of all time’. And Ken Peplowski-among others-was not on it. Oh, really? Sort of like listing the greatest thoroughbreds but omitting Secretariat. But as of today, don’t saddle me with any other choices. Peplowski finishes first.......IMHO.
