This means a lot to me my Great, Great Grandfather and Grandmother are buried in Goshen, Utah. The came over from Scotland on a wooden ship and crossed the plains in the LDS hand cart company... many did not live as it was winter. I am not LDS but I love my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. And for the 2nd series to be filmed in Coshen makes me feel very connected. Praise God for being a personal God. I can't wait to see how He inspires them. This year has been an absolute nightmare but for believers, the more oppressive the world gets the more we seek God.
I was praying that Dallas and the crew would be able to use this set built by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is literally an answer to my personal prayers. It is the greatest Jerusalem set on Earth. The research that went into the building of this set is truly remarkable. The set itself has an amazing story of how it was built and for the purpose that it was built. Movies like The Chosen are one of the reasons this set was built. Every last detail down to the stones and the markings on the door ways are authenticated by researchers and historians. The site has the 12 major locations in Ancient Jerusalem built into the set. These locations are connected by unique walkways and streets. The craftsmanship and detail that went into this set is unparalleled. My heart leaps and I am so filled with the Spirit of God that they are able to film in this location. I am so glad that God worked a miracle for this to happen. We are so excited for season 2.
Praise the Lord and thank you for this background on the new set. I’m sure that when we see the final cut, we will be swept away by the authenticity of the background not to mention the superb performances we have already witnessed by all the cast. I tell everyone I meet about the Chosen and several people have watched and have become followers. Praise the Lord!
I've been praying they could shoot at Goshen also!! It is such a phenomenal set..so inspired and beautifully and expertly done. I've walked it and was in absolute awe and felt the spirit there so strong. It will be a blessing in and of itself to this area in our state of Utah to have this wonderful series filmed here ❤️

Thank God, it is His set. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I fully heartedly believe God wants this show to be filmed on that set. When I watched the first season my heart got deeply touched and I remembered how I got saved 30 yrs back on the streets of Berlin. Out of satanism, drugs, and from being lost. "Is anything too hard for the LORD?" “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”- Just when you think you've gotten use to it, God's blessing will never cease to knock you off your feet. The location is beyond amazing. & His time was just right as it always is. Even when we feel like we've missed the boat. I too prayed that day for The Chosen and the work you all do. One of the greatest things about this situation is the way God has us all involved. I can not wait for season 2! @@mitchellc4 JESUS IS KING OF KINGS, LORD OF LORDS. Jesus said “I and the Father are one” John 10:30 First, Jesus claimed to be one with God in the sense of being equal to Him. Jesus _did not_ claim to be _merely a messenger or prophet_ of God, but of equal power with God. Second, His audience understood that Jesus was claiming equality with God the Father. In verse 31, “The Jews picked up stones again to stone him.” Why? Blasphemy was a crime punishable by death according to the Jewish Law. When Jesus asked why they were planning to kill Him, they answered, “For blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God” (John 10:33). If Jesus had been lying or deceived, His statement would have been blasphemous. In fact, the only way His words were not blasphemy is if Jesus was telling the truth about His equality with God. Third, Jesus referred to Himself as God’s Son and to God as His Father (John 10:36-37). He used Psalm 82:6 to show that the Messiah has the right to claim the title “Son of God.” Fourth, Jesus claimed that that Father sent Him: “the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world” (John 10:36). In this statement, Jesus claimed preexistence in the Father’s presence. No biblical prophet had ever made such a claim before; yet Jesus claimed to exist before Abraham (John 8:58). Fifth, Jesus only stated that the Jews did not believe Him; He never said they misunderstood His claim to be God. John 10:38 notes, “Even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” Jesus was not correcting a misunderstanding. They understood what He said perfectly. He was correcting their willful rejection of Him. Colossians 1:16-17 affirms Jesus’ same teaching: “In him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” John 1:1 explicitly notes that Jesus was both with God in the beginning and was God. In summary, Jesus claimed to be one with the Father as part of a larger argument to note that He had existed from eternity past, lived in perfect oneness with the Father, held the same power as God, and was sent by God the Father’s authority. Unfortunately, He was rejected as divine by the Jewish leaders. Jesus’ claim to have equal power as the Father was not blasphemy. It was the _plain truth._ A look at the biblical passages that speak of Jesus as King of kings and Lord of lords offers much insight regarding the meaning of these phrases. The phrase "King of kings" is used six times, including three times in relation to Jesus. In *1 Timothy **6:15**-16,* we read, *"he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the **_King of kings and Lord of lords,_** who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see."* Here Jesus is called King of kings along with other titles to show His unique and perfect role as God. He is noted clearly as divine and of greater power than any other ruler. When Jesus used the phrase "I AM," He made specific revelations regarding His identity and nature. These revelations _made it clear to all_ that He was claiming to be much more than a rabbi or prophet; Jesus _claimed_ to be _the Messiah-God in human form._ One additional "I AM" reference in John's Gospel offers another clear look at Christ's identity. In *John **8:58**,* He answered the religious leaders, saying, "Truly, Truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, *I AM."* This was a clear reference to *Exodus **3:14**,* where God revealed His name to Moses as "I AM." The reason the religious leaders wanted to kill Him was because Jesus claimed to be God.

I've received some positive response from my friends about this show. I watch some scenes regularly, idk why. This show is very very Captivating to my eyes. I lost counts on how many times I've cried watching Jesus healing the leper, the paralyzed man & the scene of the Samaritan women is simply terrific. A TV Series such as this blooming in such a dark time is INDEED GOD INTENDED. May this Series reach the entire world. God bless you guys.

So when we're carrying out His plan, there is NEVER a bad day, never a tough spot. Our eyes may try to deceive us, but every single day in Him is a GOOD day, even when the storms are crashing against the boat. @@mikezoo4856 - Romans 8:17 - Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Christ is heir to the Father and He has made us co-heirs with Him if we confess Him and follow Him. It doesn't mean Jesus replaces the Father any more than we will replace God. But we can become His heirs and become like Him, glorified, eternal beings.
@@bijoythewimp2854 - The Triniy is not a biblical doctrine. It was created in the 4th century by combining theology with philosophy. Jesus himself said that the Father was greater than He. He also said that only the Father knew of when the Second Coming was going to take place. On the cross he prayed to the Father and asked, "Why have you abandoned me?" All of this, and many more examples, point to God the Father being greater than Christ. So if you follow the Trinity, you are following 4th Century Christianity, not biblical Christianity.
This set was built to make a New Testament video series which reenacts the Savior’s life using the exact words of New Testament. That series changed my life! The Chosen has done so much for me and my family and I KNEW this set was the only one that could accomplish what Dallas and the Chosen staff needed to spread the message of Christ to the world. It is owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I am grateful the Church provided this set to make “The Chosen” a world class production!
Mitchell C I looked and saw that you posted the same response to many other supporters of “The Chosen”. I know there are many Christians who find the interpretation of the show troubling. There are a lot of bad things in the world...”The Chosen” is not one of them.
Mitchell C It is true that liberties were taken with Nicodemus. It does seem that the text shows that he supported him/admired him during his ministry. For example there was the visit with Jesus at night where Jesus taught him about being “Born Again”. However there are two other moments in the New Testament where Nicodemus is mentioned. One time in John 7:50 Nicodemus seems to be debating g other Pharisee’s about Jesus...”Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth”? To which he was criticized. “Art thou also of Galilee”? Being from Galilee was not a compliment! Also, in John 19:39, brought a 100 lb. weight of myrrh and aloe to anoint the body of Jesus after his crucifixion. This act, a very generous one, tells us a great deal about Nicodemus and his love and admiration of Jesus. Just a couple of thoughts.
AMENNNNN regarding the set!!! It reminds me of the place where Jesus tells his disciples to go get a donkey and instructs them to say, tell them Jesus has need of it. When I watched Season 1 of the Chosen, it was the first time I felt a true representation of the character of Jesus Christ while he was here on the earth. Your talent in directing this amazing series stands alone in comparison to others. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I am thrilled you have found a connection for Series 2 in Goshen, Utah. Our church has filmed many wonderful videos on this set, but uniting with your abilities will only make this second season be even more spectacular. Aside from all this, I hope personally that you realize that even though you are telling the stories of the past, that currently we have apostles and prophets here today. I pray that you get to know these men who represent God and Jesus Christ in these latter days for God has not left us alone. His Gospel is alive and well on the earth today, lead by his prophet Russell M. Nelson. He has 12 apostles that have devoted their lives to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. You are a man filled with faith and I pray that you will come to know in this present time, that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is waiting for you. That is so incredible. I cant imagine how overwhelming the power of prayer was for you guys. I LOVE what you guys are doing. You're bringing so much life to the scripture that too many people, including myself, had a hard time understanding. You're gauging interest and displaying relevance for the gospel in such a way that the Catholic church never could for me otherwise. I just got my first bible a few weeks ago and I CANNOT read it fast enough. I jumped straight to the book of Matthew and thanks to you, I have a beautiful way of visualizing and feeling the word of GOD and the story of Jesus like never before. In a time where everything we watch is seemingly controlled by Hollywood, I couldn't thank you enough for having the courage to take on this project, break off of the mainstream, and bring light to so many people of my (millennial & Z) generations.

Father God, I pray protection over the Jenkins Family as they endeavour to bring more of You to the World, that your Son Jesus will continue to get Maximum Glory and We will continue to make your name Great on the Earth! Holy Spirit, as I heard your wind blow at the end of the video, I ask for your Pentecostal Love to wrap that set with some many miracles amongst the Cast and Crew and every person on that set that the Behind the Scenes videos are as compelling as the films themselves. I hope the cast and crew of The Chosen are aware of how many online articles and compliments they are receiving from the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. While members may not be 100% doctrinally in agreement with a classical evangelical Bible church, many have commented how the series brings the Gospels to life, making the message more personable and relatable. This is a wonderful work that is being done.
At the end of all the season I definitely feel each and every crew and cast of THE CHOSEN team is going to say some testimony or the other. Every one of them is going to see some miracle in their lives and career . God will never forget the things be it small or big, whatever we do for His work will be rewarded. Every one of them are going to be astonished, every one associated with the show will definitely share their miracles and deeds that will be way beyond their understanding. The set is awesome. The attention to detail revealed in a slow pan, was very emotional... you could actually cue in some of the music from season one and make it a stand-alone video for meditation. Surely you have plans to screen test the set for morning shots, noon, late afternoon, and evening shots with torches, interior lighting, etc. God Bless the custodians of this remarkable structure.

The came over from Scotland on a wooden ship and crossed the plains in the LDS hand cart company... many did not live as it was winter. I am not LDS but I love my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. And for the 2nd series to be filmed in Coshen makes me feel very connected. Praise God for being a personal God. I was praying that Dallas and the crew would be able to use this set built by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is literally an answer to my personal prayers. It is the greatest Jerusalem set on Earth. The research that went into the building of this set is truly remarkable. The set itself has an amazing story of how it was built and for the purpose that it was built. Movies like The Chosen are one of the reasons this set was built. Every last detail down to the stones and the markings on the door ways are authenticated by researchers and historians. The site has the 12 major locations in Ancient Jerusalem built into the set. These locations are connected by unique walkways and streets. The craftsmanship and detail that went into this set is unparalleled. My heart leaps and I am so filled with the Spirit of God that they are able to film in this location. I am so glad that God worked a miracle for this to happen. We are so excited for season 2.
Praise the Lord and thank you for this background on the new set. I’m sure that when we see the final cut, we will be swept away by the authenticity of the background not to mention the superb performances we have already witnessed by all the cast. I tell everyone I meet about the Chosen and several people have watched and have become followers. Praise the Lord!

“I and the Father are one” John 10:30
First, Jesus claimed to be one with God in the sense of being equal to Him. Jesus _did not_ claim to be _merely a messenger or prophet_ of God, but of equal power with God.
Second, His audience understood that Jesus was claiming equality with God the Father. In verse 31, “The Jews picked up stones again to stone him.” Why? Blasphemy was a crime punishable by death according to the Jewish Law. When Jesus asked why they were planning to kill Him, they answered, “For blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God” (John 10:33). If Jesus had been lying or deceived, His statement would have been blasphemous. In fact, the only way His words were not blasphemy is if Jesus was telling the truth about His equality with God.
Third, Jesus referred to Himself as God’s Son and to God as His Father (John 10:36-37). He used Psalm 82:6 to show that the Messiah has the right to claim the title “Son of God.”
Fourth, Jesus claimed that that Father sent Him: “the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world” (John 10:36). In this statement, Jesus claimed preexistence in the Father’s presence. No biblical prophet had ever made such a claim before; yet Jesus claimed to exist before Abraham (John 8:58).
Fifth, Jesus only stated that the Jews did not believe Him; He never said they misunderstood His claim to be God. John 10:38 notes, “Even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” Jesus was not correcting a misunderstanding. They understood what He said perfectly. He was correcting their willful rejection of Him.
Colossians 1:16-17 affirms Jesus’ same teaching: “In him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” John 1:1 explicitly notes that Jesus was both with God in the beginning and was God.
In summary, Jesus claimed to be one with the Father as part of a larger argument to note that He had existed from eternity past, lived in perfect oneness with the Father, held the same power as God, and was sent by God the Father’s authority. Unfortunately, He was rejected as divine by the Jewish leaders. Jesus’ claim to have equal power as the Father was not blasphemy. It was the _plain truth._
A look at the biblical passages that speak of Jesus as King of kings and Lord of lords offers much insight regarding the meaning of these phrases. The phrase "King of kings" is used six times, including three times in relation to Jesus. In *1 Timothy **6:15**-16,* we read, *"he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the **_King of kings and Lord of lords,_** who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see."* Here Jesus is called King of kings along with other titles to show His unique and perfect role as God. He is noted clearly as divine and of greater power than any other ruler.
When Jesus used the phrase "I AM," He made specific revelations regarding His identity and nature. These revelations _made it clear to all_ that He was claiming to be much more than a rabbi or prophet; Jesus _claimed_ to be _the Messiah-God in human form._
One additional "I AM" reference in John's Gospel offers another clear look at Christ's identity. In *John **8:58**,* He answered the religious leaders, saying, "Truly, Truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, *I AM."* This was a clear reference to *Exodus **3:14**,* where God revealed His name to Moses as "I AM." The reason the religious leaders wanted to kill Him was because Jesus claimed to be God.

Christ is heir to the Father and He has made us co-heirs with Him if we confess Him and follow Him. It doesn't mean Jesus replaces the Father any more than we will replace God. But we can become His heirs and become like Him, glorified, eternal beings.
@@bijoythewimp2854 - The Triniy is not a biblical doctrine. It was created in the 4th century by combining theology with philosophy. Jesus himself said that the Father was greater than He. He also said that only the Father knew of when the Second Coming was going to take place. On the cross he prayed to the Father and asked, "Why have you abandoned me?" All of this, and many more examples, point to God the Father being greater than Christ. So if you follow the Trinity, you are following 4th Century Christianity, not biblical Christianity.

This set was built to make a New Testament video series which reenacts the Savior’s life using the exact words of New Testament. That series changed my life! The Chosen has done so much for me and my family and I KNEW this set was the only one that could accomplish what Dallas and the Chosen staff needed to spread the message of Christ to the world. It is owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I am grateful the Church provided this set to make “The Chosen” a world class production!
Mitchell C I looked and saw that you posted the same response to many other supporters of “The Chosen”. I know there are many Christians who find the interpretation of the show troubling. There are a lot of bad things in the world...”The Chosen” is not one of them.
Mitchell C It is true that liberties were taken with Nicodemus. It does seem that the text shows that he supported him/admired him during his ministry. For example there was the visit with Jesus at night where Jesus taught him about being “Born Again”. However there are two other moments in the New Testament where Nicodemus is mentioned. One time in John 7:50 Nicodemus seems to be debating g other Pharisee’s about Jesus...”Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth”? To which he was criticized. “Art thou also of Galilee”? Being from Galilee was not a compliment! Also, in John 19:39, brought a 100 lb. weight of myrrh and aloe to anoint the body of Jesus after his crucifixion. This act, a very generous one, tells us a great deal about Nicodemus and his love and admiration of Jesus. Just a couple of thoughts.

When I watched Season 1 of the Chosen, it was the first time I felt a true representation of the character of Jesus Christ while he was here on the earth. Your talent in directing this amazing series stands alone in comparison to others. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I am thrilled you have found a connection for Series 2 in Goshen, Utah. Our church has filmed many wonderful videos on this set, but uniting with your abilities will only make this second season be even more spectacular. Aside from all this, I hope personally that you realize that even though you are telling the stories of the past, that currently we have apostles and prophets here today. I pray that you get to know these men who represent God and Jesus Christ in these latter days for God has not left us alone. His Gospel is alive and well on the earth today, lead by his prophet Russell M. Nelson. He has 12 apostles that have devoted their lives to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. You are a man filled with faith and I pray that you will come to know in this present time, that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is waiting for you. That is so incredible. I cant imagine how overwhelming the power of prayer was for you guys. I LOVE what you guys are doing. You're bringing so much life to the scripture that too many people, including myself, had a hard time understanding. You're gauging interest and displaying relevance for the gospel in such a way that the Catholic church never could for me otherwise. I just got my first bible a few weeks ago and I CANNOT read it fast enough. I know the joy and hope that the gospel brings me and I'm not ashamed of it. It's something I've never experienced anywhere else. We respect your right to worship how and what you choose. By the way, that quote was from The Book of Mormon (2 Nephi 25:26). Just like the Bible (which we also believe in) it must be read with an open heart and must be prayed about to discover it's truth. It is Another Testament of JESUS CHRIST. I invite you to read it with an "open heart and a contrite spirit" that the Spirit of God can impress upon you it's truthfulness.

Actually, there are a lot of pieces of evidence for the Book of Mormon from both the Bible and Archaeology. But, as with believing in God, my listing them to you will not do any good because it's the Spirit of God that teaches Truth. The logic comes second. Again, based on your arguments I assume you haven't actually read the Book of Mormon with an open heart. All I can do is urge you to read it with genuine curiosity (not simply to prove it wrong because God does not work with that sort of attitude) and pray to know if it is true. You don't have to, but, just as with the Bible, it's really the only way.
Again, despite our differences of opinion, I am always grateful for anyone who is a faithful believer of Christ. At times it feels as though we are such a minority as Atheism continues to grow, and I love hearing people's testimonies of Christ and His Love. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I hope the cast and crew of The Chosen are aware of how many online articles and compliments they are receiving from the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. While members may not be 100% doctrinally in agreement with a classical evangelical Bible church, many have commented how the series brings the Gospels to life, making the message more personable and relatable. This is a wonderful work that is being done.

The set is awesome. The attention to detail revealed in a slow pan, was very emotional... you could actually cue in some of the music from season one and make it a stand-alone video for meditation.
