31:00--- Being a single woman I don't foresee working on anything but I know some small hand tools are always handy so I was thinking about leaving the stairs Inside then building a wooden cover to make it flat or maybe build wooden covers that open side to side and use the stairs inside for extra misc storage of tools, extension cords, etc. I think a good set of undermount RV steps should fix the entrance hopefully. I haven't gotten started yet bc I'm still waiting for total knee replacement in both legs! The handicap video you did was awesome. I also loved the rear slide out; so many great ideas. Thanks again for spending so much time helping everyone get started. God Bless you both. I hope you continue to enjoy your Florida stay.
Just gott a 2025 7x 14 x 7 high titanium cargo trailer. It's a blank canvass right now and can't wait to get started on it .......have watched almost every video and absorbed alot of great info.......
Awesome / Bill & Deb offer a wealth of knowledge on their channel. The nice thing about it is you’re not just seeing their perspective. You get to see many other bills and therefore you get ideas and often times and easier way to do something or how to improve it and also what not to do lol / enjoy your day. Sometimes the process is most of the time and most of the headaches lol
Great video! Lots of info from a seasoned veteran - I'm looking forward to seeing more like this... I ordered straight axels and an 18" extension for my custom 7 X 18 X 7 v-nose trailer (from Double R in Boise ID since I live in NorCal), for the reasons Bill mentioned. And as he said, it's what works for you.
Another big decision , as you know, lol is the options out back, no door, barn doors or the ramp deck. Thats a huge decision for many.... Great video for the community.
👍 👍 Really good points Bill! :) One thing to also add(ok more than one), different trailer brands may offer different options. I did see rarely options for 7.5 wide as well. Another consideration is torsion axles, or removing the ramp and going with barn doors. Not sure if they allow rear door delete, but if you put two side doors (your choice of side) you don't need the rear unless you want it. Also can have both RV locks and door bar locks for extra security.
Good info!!!! What I love most about your videos is the sharing of info and ideas. We are currently working on a cargo conversion as weather permits. Hoping to have it finished in the spring. We live in North East Ohio and it is currently 18 degrees. Maybe see you on the road someday . God bless and safe travels.
If you are planning on having an awning. Consider your trailer height. Have enough height above the door to mount the awning. Allow for the awning to slope down and not interfere with the door opening.
We have watching your videos for a long time. I must tell you we find them to be informative and enjoyable. Please keep these coming. We Beech lane levelers. I hated those yellow plastic blocks. It certainly is much easier to level one’s trailer. We purchased two sets. They will support 30K lbs. Yes, I said that correctly. Take a look at them sometime. Amazon sells them, I order ours somewhere else, can’t remember where.
This is Sona with George & Sona. I thought your floors looked great. I felt Debs pain crawling on the floor. I went thru that with our build. I am going in for hip replacement at the end of this month so guess we will miss the meetup. You are such a trooper. Hope we can meet again once our life gets back to Normal. Thank you for your channel. We have told so many people about your channel who are interested in a build out of a box trailer. Your new series sounds great!
Hi Bill and Deb. 😊 I have watched you here quite awhile now. Enjoy your Channel. You guys are great. Very good info and nice trailer home. Like it. Be safe and have fun. It’s 18 degrees here, Wednesday night. God bless.
God bless you and your wife and family with healing and joy in Holy Spirit. Hey Bill,I just had an idea couldn't you build you and deb your wife a fold up deck so you don't those two narrow steps to walk up and you could have outdoor furniture and flower pots to
Just dropped our 8.5 x 20 to get new suspension installed. Am having them flip the axels so that the leaf springs are on top of the axels to get more height from the drop axels. What are your thoughts on flipping vs replacing with straight axel if any. Also a great idea on your new series will be a great help to many I'm sure.
what about spread axels the cons & the pros smoother ride, tire wear, might pull alittle harder, anything else??? i'm thinking about ordering a 8.5 x 28..
I have often wondered if you can build your interior in your garage (mostly), weight it, find the cg of your trailer guts, then use that and the trailer cg to the manufacturer place your axles position to achieve the world's perfect 22.5% hitch weight?
Have the door installed a little higher so that it will be even when you add insulation and flooring? Decide what type of back door or in your case, eliminate it. Have you seen a build with a Cell Tech trailer? I think they cost twice the price of a Poly Core trailer.

I'm fortunate to have had parents who loved to travel, camp and build .

Really looking forward to learning from a seasoned builder. Good to learn from experience, saves on the learning curve of life😊

North Florida Welcomes you! I made my own micro camper - yet to try it out!
The new wheels look great.
Thanks

Sweet!! Can't wait for all this great information that's coming!!! Thanks!
Can’t wait Bill for the tips,,,I’m stuck at the wiring! Looking forward to your know how!
I think what you are going to do is a great idea these are things that I would like to know
Also consider what sort of doors you want on the back (bard, drop gate, side RV style or none).

I see Miss Delilah guarding the place.😊
Thanks for sharing and taking so much time to help others. I'd love a tour of yours, is that here?

Yes this was a good idea with tips and suggestions on building out a trailer. Does Polycore eliminate insulation?
No it doesn’t.
Always insulate
Like the Tail wagging the dog!

In the beginning of RV's wasn't the second door in the back refered to as the Brother-in- law door?
Would you recommend the factory mount racks over the trailer for the solar panels?
Do you use stabilizer bar now? Can a cargo tongue be extended? Or does that compromise the frame?

Bill are you still having breathing issues your breathing seems labored? Praying for you and Deb's health ❤
Actually, my sinuses are all clogged up. Allergies.
@billanddeb Glad is is not your lungs. Hope you get some relief soon
My next trailer will not have the shank nails fastening the plywood.
Your door is 36" x 78" ... wow that is huge. It just didn't look like it on the video that is was a 36" wide door where the cat was sitting.
Yes, they are 36 inches wide. The doors in our red (previous) trailer were 32 inches wide.
COME ON HOME, ENJOY THE SNOW DUE IN TOMORROW.😅
Lol. I think we'll sit tight for a while.
