I actually recently closed my eBay store in order to focus my energy on more active platforms.
Ugh, I hate eBay but it’s a necessary evil where I live. After all of the marketing changes they made I went from over six figures to about $55k. I don’t understand the need to advertise on top of your advertised/promoted listings. They also essentially made it so you had to eat the extra shipping they were providing. After that I just stopped buying and letting things sell on their own with some sales here and there. Passively, At about $2k per month now

I’m the opposite. I LOVE to organize, and do it often, but I have to be careful bc I over do it and then it takes away a lot of time from the photographing and listing.
I understand completely, I think many people have no idea what it means to be self employed esp by yourself. I’m 67 and have another 35 year old business and I moved twice in 15 months. Yikes. Almost lost my mind.

I missed the eBay packaging videos lol. Just curious how many items you have listed on eBay now? I know you are busy with the other platforms but just curious.
I think last I checked under 1000 but I'm sure a lot of those are out of stock so maybe about 500?

One thing that I changed in my inventory system to make it easier is to assign each box or bin with a letter series. Then I made barcode scan labels that match each box. Each item gets a plastic Ziploc bag with an inventory number and it's own scan label. These bags are reused. So when I go to list I grab an empty or nearly empty bin, and some empty bags. In my drafts I use the custom SKU line and use by barcode scanner to input that info. Title the listing, scan the bag, bag the item, scan the bin. Item in the bin - then save the draft! That way when I go to list the inventory part is already done! I just go to HBA -M 136 and pull the darn lipstick I need to ship!
So smart!! I wish I had the patience to organize that way! 😆

My eBay is like that also or I get lowball offers
If I am accepting offers, I usually set it to decline any offers below a certain number, then I set the automatically except to be a penny higher. I find that is easier to do then research it again and figure out if I would accept their offer. It is all decided in advance and it's sold. If it does not sell and you wonder why, you can go and click on manage offers and see what people are offering you, and then maybe adjust your price if you're too high on what it's worth. Cut down on messages. I only get a few messages per day. This cuts out the low ballers and I don't have to deal with them and they don't make me mad because you're offering me five bucks on a $50 item.
