This is a beautiful homily, Fr. Mike! My grandson was baptized as a toddler in the Catholic Church, as were his 3 Siblings. Sadly their mother turned away from the beauty and richness of the Catholic faith. For years now she is atheist, and he claims he is too. The Woke culture has ensnared him. I am going to share your homily with him and pray that he will see Jesus Christ in you and desire to return to God and to live his life like he is designed to live. Please pray for my grand son's converson.🙏

Examine Our Commitments With Our Faith: Matthew: 10:37-42: Whoever Loves Father or Mother more than Me is not Worthy of Me: Whoever Loves Son or Daughter more than Me is not Worthy of Me: These words may sound harsh at first glance however there is a Deep Meaning to this. To focus further it is not enough to follow God and make our Loyalty Worthy of Him. Above all we must also Carry the Cross and the Burden that comes along with our Lives. It is not always happiness that we should take to consider when we have to follow Him. We must also Bear the Cross and the Sacrifices of Being True Believers. Thank You Rev.
