    I’m so glad that I made this decision 4 years in advance ☺️ time to earn this money. I’m sure my parents are gonna be SUPER against it and will be reluctant to spend money on something they’re against so time to get my hands dirty making money.

      @@malikes4591 Yeah sounds about right. It's much harder to make it in Korea. Very classist society, no judgement but it's kind of how it is. But I hope college entrances are going well for you. When I went in I was married, literally wore my prom suit to the church. Then had a baby dead smack in the middle of Sophmore year. If memory serves correct there was an active club who traveled to Korea back then if you ever want to visit as a tourist. I traveled there when I did a few years as a Merchant Mariner. Nice people, didn't like the food as much, but the sights were amazing.

    This is why I want to study in Korea! I’m a senior in high school right now and I really wanted to go to UCI but because of the tuition for (I’m an out of state student) me I will not be attending it. Super useful video!!✨ I have a few questions I hope you don't mind answering😅 1) Can I go as an undergrad? (With this I mean getting my 4 years of college in Korea as a regular student) 2)Are there any scholarships if I apply this way?? 3)Do you consider Korea safe for woman??? 4) Do they give classes in english??
    I would really appreciate if you could answer these since I'm seriously considering going to Korea to get my college education😅👍

    • @findingfiona
      @findingfiona  4 года назад +4

      1) you can go as an undergrad, but I'm pretty sure you'd be competing with the other korean students trying to get into KU and its more competitive this way. Applying as an international student, you'd more likely be accepted and I think you'd want to see if you wanna spend one year there before you spend four years!

    • @findingfiona
      @findingfiona  4 года назад +3

      2) I'm not 100% sure about how scholarships work there, I would def check their website for official details, but my roommate got a $2,000 scholarship for high GPA! I think he had a 3.8/4.0 GPA

Cause I'm learning it now and have about 2 to 3 mlm or years until College but dont know if I will stay learning it or slowly fall off of it. So is it necessary to learn it and if not do they help English speakers? Hopefully question is understandable if not sorry

    • @Nour-qr8wm
      @Nour-qr8wm 3 года назад +6

      hihi there, it honestly really depends on which program you're going to be entering in. My answer to you is going to be based on research that I've done for myself actually. Basically, if you're going to be entering the university with zero/TOPIK3 level knowledge its going to be hard to get by unless you score all your class being taught in English. (which is kinda impossible, you're bound to have at least one Korean class per semester, you can pass it and it won't be that hard if you're a social science/business major.) However, I've heard that the harder your major the harder it gets and that's true everywhere. In Korean culture there's always this competitive nature around the grades because of how the system works. (again, this is all based on research) the grading system is based on rankings. If you and your friend were suppose to get 100% on a certain assignment yet, in question B, her answer was slightly better than yours, you'll end up getting 99% instead of a 100%.You're still young so take it slow and try a lot of things until you find the major that you really want to study because, at the end of the day, being interested in something makes the hardest things seem easy and fun :) wishing you luck

      Maybe start by making a list of countries that you don’t want to study in/ that you have no interest in, then maybe look into potential local universities/collages that offer programs for places you are interested in/ wouldn’t mind going to (you can always email the school requesting more information). I’d also recommend starting to save money and preparing yourself (do you really want to do this? how far (distance wise) am I willing to be from home? How long would I be comfortable being away for?). From what I’ve seen I’d say that majority that do a study abroad really cherished it and enjoyed it so I’d say it’s well worth looking into and trying to be apart of
