Going to Korea in 2024-2025 school year, excited as I'll be the first person in my close family to go to a different country, learning Korean has been kinda hard but definitely worth it, thanks for all the videos and advice on what to do!

I´m planing to study abroad in South Korea in Seoul as well, but I´m not quite sure because of money and costs etc...and what to prepare. This video helped me at least a bit sooo I´m super thankfull :) but I still need to figure out more ^^

This was a great comprehensive list! The only thing I wanna mention that probably won't apply to me that you mentioned not to bring is hair products. As a black woman with 4C hair that is coiled & kinky, I know South Korea won't have hair products that take care of my hair. So, I think I'd have to either buy them in bulk beforehand or have a relative/friend send them to me to avoid paying a bunch of shipping fees through Amazon.

@@nishka9605 good luck!! I have applied to three universities and thankfully passed all:) I’m still waiting for the embassy to open the applications for Visa😞 By the time you apply, I’m pretty sure you won’t have a struggle with your visa😆 I suggest to prepare a year before semester applications!

in my opinion,, you can find many of those "hard to find" foreign items pretty easily as long as you know where to look. i think the exception would be certain brands of tampons-- i dont think i saw many options besides the tiny packs at daiso

Love this video, thanks for the amazing tips but one thing I would add on buying while getting there is a water/shower filter. I remember Korea doesn’t have the best water quality and u will loose hair and break out due to dry skin 💛

Being 19 or 20 really is not worth anything, enjoy your time as a young person and just try to save up and advance any skills or try to discover yourself at this age you know…

Cool this helped. I plan on studying in Korea for a year to study the language and get accustomed to the country. I do wanna go and get my masters in business, already have my bachelors. Maybe I can do it in Korea?Suggestions?
is it possible for a foreinger to apply to a university in korea as a full-time student in university for 4 whole years? Like without any exchange programs?
it is, but its going to be harder to get in because youll be competiting with the other Korean students in Korea!. I recommend going for a semester there and if you love it, you can transfer :)

You could through the Korean government scholarship programme - it’s specifically for foreigners so maybe check that out .
You could through English track, less competition
Yes! Yonsei specifically is a university where you can apply undergraduate and it’s not difficult for foreigners to get in just check their website it’s a little more paperwork

I would say the earliest age is around 19-20 because some colleges won't let you go as a freshman!
@@findingfiona 19?? In malaysia here, we finished school after we took our big exam ( last yr of high school which is 17 yrs old ). I thought we can apply at the age of 18 too... bcuz most malaysian students from korea unis study there a yr after they finish their big exam.

it depends on your home university, but i think the main requirement is that you just have to be in uni. some schools might not want you to go in your first year, but maybe second semester would be okay. so theres less of an age requirement and more of an education requirement for the most part
