Didn't knew how to ride a bike, but got the opportunity to buy a bike, bought TB500, and asked my friend to ride it home. Started learning on my new TB500, the more I rode, the more I started to fell in love with riding. Started to go on trips and started to explore the world around me. And almost 7 years later, she is tired, she sometimes breaks down in between. But with some love and attention, she still manages to get ready for the mountains. A week ago booked my GT 650. Thanks to my ThunderGirl, I came to know that I am a biker deep down in my core. My love for TB is something else. This bike taught me what freedom actually feels like. She is always going to be my first bike and she will remain the same till I die. I'll never part ways with her. No matter what.
I have been closely watching you guys since power to the rider and then to the transformation .. PowerDrift .. Everytime i watch the video teaser preview/review etc .. it makes me go wow .. this is exactly how a review should be ... apart from those unbiased verdicts .... its shows clearly depicts the machine as a piece of art, agression, control and power .... way to go ..
I wouldn't mind man. Buzz me if you guys come down to Hyderabad. Its because of you guys that my parents agreed to buy me a Thunderbird. I downloaded a HD version of this video and played it on the LED. Brix were shat :D SO Thank you....also my delivery date is tomorrow. :D :D :D
Apologies for the late reply! You should ping such queries on our community bike help section :) The Thunderbird has a few specific pluses over the classic which might cater to a few of your needs. To name a few: - Favorable ergonomics - A nice backrest for your pillion - Projector Lamps to keep your night rides well lit - A HUGE tank and so on!
Awesome review! Everything what a buyer/biker/fan wants to know. Kudos to the one who did the filming. Absolutely spot on. The background music too. Thumps up!
Auto expo 2012....I thought what have they done to my dream bike just when I was going to buy one. But when I came face to face with this beast in the showroom, it was love at first sight. And now I am a proud owner of RE TB....:)
Awesome review.. Fell in love with this Indian beast. I did some reading on the internet and also visited a couple of dealers to understand about the waiting period and the responses were not very similar. On the internet it says 3-4 months, one dealer said he can get it done in a month and another asked to wait for 7-8 months. By the way, the enquiries were done in Mumbai.
Well I am here just to indulge in some nostalgia now that the TB is being replaced by the meteor. What best way to do that other than watching some lovely old PD videos. The team has come a long way. Adv congrats on 2 mil subs. Cheers!
You guys really know how to do a review! Superb work. I've been watching this over and over again. :) Can't wait to get my hands on the TB tomorrow! :D
You guys have done an awesome job!! the quality of the video is fantastic, almost topgear like ;) About the review, not so long not so short, the best of both worlds and everything you need to know to buy a motorcycle. keep it up guys :D
I was never a re fan..always wanted a pulsar..but after my dad got this bike.. i can tell you all this..this one model stands out...the stability of this vehicle is amazing at high speeds..i live in chennai and i have driven this beast to speeds of 135 too...raw power..raw feel .no technology.. No stunting..just cruising and riding...going to get my re gear soon :D... Big fan RE
Great review as usual. I think you guys should post it on PTR channel as well. A lot of people still don't know about PTR -> PD. This video easily deserves a lot more views.
you guys at power drift give that cinematic effect to all your reviews which makes the experience awesome.........bring in the duke 390's review soon!!!
While watching this u starting to feel like its a classic video of PD Army but surely one the best Classic Way to go PD Army.... always been pleasure watching u guys...
Wonderful review Sagar. Keep riding / rising. Absolutely true, this new TB carries similar behavior and feel of the heavy REs of old days, ride feel of this bike is much muscular than CL350. Awesome!!!
I keep coming back to this video because I am a fan of RE Thunderbird (I like the looks). But I cannot bring myself to buy one because other manufacturers provide so many more features and power at the same price range!
Well, Power To The Rider is now PowerDrift! Do remember to subscribe to our channel to be notified about our new videos! Waiting for your comments on our new reviews ;)
well as far as i know POWER DRIFT gives the best bike reviews in our country.....love the way the reviews are presented....thank you keep up the good work!!
I have watched all you videos and watched this video atleast 10 times for the Thunderbird and BGM. The way you edit you videos is simply amazing and BGM is awesome. Hats-off boss. Keep up the good work.
A veryy good review again from everyones favourite, The PowerDrift Team. Excellent camera work and everything just to the point :-) I will be buying the RE Thunderbird 350 recently, hopefully therez not much dfrnc btween the 350 and 500, and the Thunderbird 350 is also a great cruiser bike. Awaiting an answr frm ur Great Team :-) :-)
Hi Guyz, I just LOVE your reviews....You guys make reviews like a freaking Movie... It would be awesome if you guys review any of the "classic 500s"...
Power drift this is for you... All great features. 1> Day time running lights 2>Hazards Light 3>dual disc brakes 4>Digital clock 5>Beautiful Blue light in meter glowing...such a beauty.. 6>Best in class sitting postures. 7>Gorgeous led tail lights 8>Beautiful crafted fuel tank... 9>So much comfy and easy driven on corners.. 10>And the best THE THUMPING SOUND.... I LOVE MY BIKE
Nice initiative....ur camera angles, editing and bgm are unmatched, makes me wonder how many media houses would have offered you guys to do this for their respective channels. Love the Bullet 500 review and this one, so much so that i keep playing it in my home theater day in day out. Eagerly waiting for the continental gt review and would love to hear your take on the classic 500 (though it got launched a long time back). I follow Powerdrift with the same levels of enthusiasm and curiosity as i do for TG. Keep up the good work!
thumping review brother ... motivational enough to thump my THUNDERBIRD 2010 model a good 100 kms rite after seein this vid ...keep up the good work ...cheers :-)
Its almost an year I bought TB350 and I still show this video to people to who asks me to tell more about my bike :) Great work PD and Sagar Sheldekar..
Thanks otm646 the dialect is the same! What Sarge has said is that it has "a two piston caliper" implying dual piston in the single caliper shown, but yes he errs in the next line stating single caliper, instead of single piston! Would be awesome if you could join on our website/community. This would mean you getting early access to our video and we getting an additional round of quality control from a fellow motorhead ;)
Superb review, keep it up. If I can make a request, I would love to see review of the Ducati Monster 795, and a comparo between Monster and Ninja. I know they are different , but they are the only 2 available in the price range.
Truly a sensational bike. I'm in love with my thunderbird 500. An epitome in Indian cruiser motorcycles. And the best review ever doing full justice to this beautiful machine.
#25MillionOnPD This review has made me go for this bike and truly there is no comparision with this one. It makes an addiction to go for rides everyday and the cornering has made me go crazy!
It may be a difference in dialect but the bike has a dual piston front and single piston rear brake caliper. A dual caliper like you stated would be two independent calipers like on a 600cc+ sportbike. Great work, your videos are always so well put together..
The Avenger is much more reliable & comfortable, but its no match to the amount of torque\Charm the RE's churn. If your trip is all about getting from one place to another comfortably, pick the Avenger! If you want to explore & enjoy the journey & break downs double up as another opportunity to meet more people. RE it is! Ping us when in Pune ;) God Speed!
hi team, your reviews are just awesome. I download your reviews to watch it again and again. :) your video editing is just mind blowing , each and every details , slow motions , music..you guys do it perfectly. keep on the good work going. i know the bike is old but can you guys review bajaj avenger 220 ? All the best.
Hi Salman, Thanks for the kind words. Early days for us, and so you see fewer videos. Do remember to subscribe to our channel to be notified of all our new reviews :)
Having a thumper engine in a cruiser seems a bit strange as i'm sure this thing would struggle to actually cruise at motorway speeds (70 MPH in the UK)
Superb review. I'm a RE Standard 350 1998 model owner. And lately I'm starting to think on upgrading to new generation bullet. Based on your review I'm very much sure I'll get a thunderbird 500. But I'm still waiting to hear about the cafe racer from RE which is planned to launch this year.
Hello,I've been watching your videos since the channel has started. I watch them, because they're not just videos like others, they're passionately filmed, precisely scripted and beautifully filmed piece of art. Now,I am planning to buy a Royal Enfield, and I've been watching your thunderbird and bullet's videos for innumerable times. I'm gravely confused between thunderbird 500 and classic 500! Please help me out.
It's charming in every way, cross the 110kms/hr mark on speedo and you'll be feeling the vibrations ,like never before, which would definitely make you uncomfortable. Below that, there's no parallel to it!
Great! I might be upgrading soon from a 200ns. I was planning for Duke 390 but now I am all into Royal enfield the sheer size and thump of these bike beats everything.
Hi PowerDrift Team, Awesome reviews, U guys doing a great job for biking enthusiast. Keep up the good work. Could you please help with this query. I have almost made my mind about Royal Enfield Thunder Bird 350 but recently I have read really bad comments about the bike that it need constant maintenance and service but as far as my knowledge goes RE bikes are very tough and roughed. What do you guys suggest at PD, should i go for RE TB 350 or not.
Finally a Bike review!! lol I actually become a PTR fan cuz of your Bike expertise, These car reviews and things have no appeal to me. thats why i supported PTR.
The Royal Enfields will take you places, but you will probably need to frequent the service technician. The good thing is that there's one in every corner of India.
I own the thunderbird 500.... its too awesome... never had such an amazing experience with a royal enfield bike... the company mentions that the fuel tank capacity is 20 liters.. but actually it is 17 liters..
you guys Finally have set International Standers to the reviews of Automobiles is Power 2 Rider also the same production as you guys cause they are also a good competition to you guys but i love your show hoping to see more
Hey, amazing video guys. I really love the way how you talk and tell about any vehicle you review. All the best for future videos. A request, can you guys give us a review of the classic series. Because I believe you can give us the perfect verdict
Great video..! 👍🏼 Plz help me in choosing Electra or thunderbird I like both equally as in comfort, pricing, not sure about maintenance though Well look wise I like the retro style of Electra and like the cruiser looks and like way TB is equipped but, still I'm confused which one should I go for.! 😁😁
ha ha :) my uncle recently bought the new ford ecosport after watching your review......and am also gonna buy the thunderbird!!!! Thanks a ton for giving such great reviews!!!!
Thanks for asking this question. I am getting my TB350 tomorrow and all my friends say why I did not book 500CC. Booked it 11.5 months back in Bangalore.
Hello PowerDrift, Thank you for the review, it helped me a lot. I am planing to buy a Royal Enfield Thunderbird, but my dilemma is b/w thunderbird 350 & 500, is there any difference b/w the RE Thunderbird 350 and 500?? Waiting for your reply..
Hi PTR Team. I really am a great fan of your Work... The Reviewing and the video editing done by you guys are the best in class. But I find very less reviews about the bikes that created history.. Yes, am talking about our "RE" . There no review for Royal Enfield classic 350 or the thunderbord 350 (new version 2014) . I booked Royal Enfield Classic 350 a week ago and still my mind is confused between Classic 350 and the Thunderbird 350. If you guys can make a video review comparing both these bikes, it would be really helpful not just for me but even for the thousand others who are willing to take the bull. Keep Rocking guys....
Sachin Prabhakaran ohh yeah!!! Then we will also see Ten hut on Big boss..I mean the way he is promoting his channel. And getting positive results . he will surely make the "deal with the devil" :) But I know according to the musketeer, promoting stunts and encouraging high speed ridinding is strictly prohibited on tv.
Didn't knew how to ride a bike, but got the opportunity to buy a bike, bought TB500, and asked my friend to ride it home. Started learning on my new TB500, the more I rode, the more I started to fell in love with riding. Started to go on trips and started to explore the world around me. Agree 👍👍👍
Excellent job guys. Keep 'em coming. :)
Commenting here after the Launch of meteor 650, but it’s true that thunderbirds were more masculine than today’s RE bikes

The Thunderbird has a few specific pluses over the classic which might cater to a few of your needs. To name a few:
- Favorable ergonomics
- A nice backrest for your pillion
- Projector Lamps to keep your night rides well lit
- A HUGE tank
and so on!
Cornering on a thinderbird. You're goddamn right. I replaced 2 sets of footpegs by scraping them like crazy!
Awesome review! Everything what a buyer/biker/fan wants to know.
Kudos to the one who did the filming. Absolutely spot on. The background music too.
Thumps up!

Wonderful review Sagar. Keep riding / rising. Absolutely true, this new TB carries similar behavior and feel of the heavy REs of old days, ride feel of this bike is much muscular than CL350. Awesome!!!
ohhhh mannn !!!!! amazing bike and the review guys...well done...i was thinking to buy classic 500 but i guess i need to rethink
After 10 years, What did you end up buying?
Liked the camera work.. Great way of reviewing.. enjoyed watching.. Thanks guys :)
This is the best review on the Thunderbird 500. Great going guys.
Sparks off the footpeg @ 4:51 , madness. Give the bike some respect. Drive like a man.
I keep coming back to this video because I am a fan of RE Thunderbird (I like the looks).
But I cannot bring myself to buy one because other manufacturers provide so many more features and power at the same price range!
Ratnadeep Gaikwad , Never missout on a opportunity of becoming a family member of RE.
These bikes are not about features. These bikes are about the essence of biking. Normal parameters of reviewing a bike don't apply here.
Well, Power To The Rider is now PowerDrift!
Do remember to subscribe to our channel to be notified about our new videos! Waiting for your comments on our new reviews ;)
Gee thanks Moheet! Please keep sharing our "work" ahead and yeah more power to the riders!!

2:19 Bach gaya..
Royal enfield should consider fitting Tyres to the rear break leg stand.
- It's called scraping the footpeg. Very common. If you know how to corner that it.
Thanks Anurag :) Hope you are watching our newer videos too!
Thanks Amit, do remember to subscribe to our channel for more such videos :)

+Bharath Muddada Awesomeness! :D
Any problems you've faced since then with your bike?
Not much,Punctures are the only problems which I faced and they are because of the bad roads,Other than that bike is in really good condition.
A bit far fetched. Hope to get a reply. Can you recommend this bike to someone if getting a good deal on used one?

Hi Sanandan,
The ducati video was a part of the change from PTR to PowerDrift :)
Thank Saurabh! We shall await your long ride experience on our community :)
The cafe racer has it in a way, but yes, we wont complain If the vTwin happens any time soon!
Having a thumper engine in a cruiser seems a bit strange as i'm sure this thing would struggle to actually cruise at motorway speeds (70 MPH in the UK)
Thank Anaswar, Hope you have subscribed to the channel!
Gee thanks! Hope you and your uncle have subscribed and are showing these reviews to all asking about the new purchase ;)

Great! I might be upgrading soon from a 200ns. I was planning for Duke 390 but now I am all into Royal enfield the sheer size and thump of these bike beats everything.
Hi PowerDrift Team,
Awesome reviews, U guys doing a great job for biking enthusiast. Keep up the good work.
Could you please help with this query. I have almost made my mind about Royal Enfield Thunder Bird 350 but recently I have read really bad comments about the bike that it need constant maintenance and service but as far as my knowledge goes RE bikes are very tough and roughed.

Forgot to ask! , why you guys cant make this into a TV Program?? You can get much more credit for your work if you do that..
Sachin Prabhakaran ohh yeah!!! Then we will also see Ten hut on Big boss..I mean the way he is promoting his channel. And getting positive results . he will surely make the "deal with the devil" :)
But I know according to the musketeer, promoting stunts and encouraging high speed ridinding is strictly prohibited on tv.
