AYO I remember getting a bootleg copy of this & pretty much watching it with my homies for a whole summer as a youngster, at the time we found it to be the funniest thing we had ever seen. It was pretty much my 1st introduction to Kevin hart & Yeah sure the film was cringe AF, had crazy stereotypes/borderline racism BUT It was & likely still is(despite not having seen it since it came out) a guilty pleasure!
To me I feel like it’s one of those situations where it’s a movie that you know is bad, but it was just something that played a lot back in the day lol i remember this be a movie you could put on in the background at every black function 😂😂😂
I ain’t gonna hold u and I’m not defending this movie as some masterpiece of cinema but this film is the perfect example of why “comedy is subjective” I deff remember in middle school everyone laughing they ass off when this trouble (now I know it deff different now with 2024 vision) but I’m just saying for its time lol this movie maybe not good, but was funny

HONESTLY this movie is a product of its time and COMEDY as a whole during the early 2000s.
